Chapter 33 - Incorrect Usage of [The World] (Part 2)

The outdoor tests had already established Wu An as a physical anomaly. During the shot put, he hadn't even summoned his Stand; he had launched the ball using nothing but the raw, explosive power of his wrist.

"He's a monster-level student," whispered the onlookers. To the rest of Class 1-A, the nature of his Quirk remained a complete enigma.

"As long as you're not last, it's fine, right? Same as always," Aizawa Shota noted, scribbling down the results. He glanced at Wu An meaningfully before shouting, "Next test: Standing Long Jump!"

The results were a spectacle of diversity. Tsuyu Asui excelled with her frog-like leaps, and Yuga Aoyama used his navel laser for propulsion. However, Inasa Yoarashi took the lead, using a localized whirlwind to propel his body nearly twenty meters.

Izuku Midoriya, meanwhile, moved like an ordinary person, barely clearing two meters. This prompted many to wonder how he had even passed the entrance exam. Wu An, with a casual hop, covered nearly eight meters without breaking a sweat. Shoto Todoroki used a ramp of ice to slide himself forward, securing a top spot.

Wu An knew he didn't need to exert himself. With Midoriya at the bottom, Wu An's ranking was safely above average. But while he treated the tests with casual indifference, the rest of the class was pushing their limits.

The Sovereign's Indoor Cinema

"Next, we move to the indoor stadium!" Aizawa announced.

The class shifted to the gymnasium for grip strength and repeated side jumps. Just as everyone expected Wu An to follow the same low-effort routine, he did something that left everyone bewildered: he pulled a chair from the sidelines and sat down.

"What is he doing?" Denki Kaminari asked, confused.

The next second, the air distorted. A burly, bronze-skinned figure in golden armor, standing nearly two meters tall, emerged from Wu An's body. The overwhelming sense of pressure made Ochako Uraraka and Kyoka Jiro pale.

"That!" Tokoyami whispered, his eyes narrowing. "Is it the same type of manifestation as my Dark Shadow?"

[The World] stepped forward and picked up the hand-grip strengthener.

BOOM!

The sound of shattering plastic and metal echoed through the gym. Aizawa paused for two seconds, discarded the broken tool, and handed over a heavy-duty industrial version. "That one's crushed. Try the high-capacity one."

Wu An decided to test something more difficult than raw power: Precision. Instead of crushing the device instantly, he watched as the numbers on the digital display began to climb slowly, digit by digit.

Aizawa instantly saw through the maneuver. He's not testing his strength; he's testing the Stand's fine motor control.

Ultimately, the number froze at exactly 1111.11 KG.

"Wow! Over 1,100 KG of strength!" Mineta squealed.

But the thinkers of the class—Todoroki, Bakugo, and Midoriya—weren't looking at the number. They were looking at the decimal points. To hit exactly 1111.11 was a statistical impossibility unless it was done with deliberate, god-like precision.

The Logical Gap

The tests continued, but Wu An never left his chair. While Mineta used his sticky spheres for the side jumps, Wu An sat back, crossing his legs.

"Is he... is he drinking juice?!" Kyoka Jiro pointed, her jaw dropping.

Sure enough, Wu An was sipping a carton of juice through a straw, watching his Stand perform the horizontal jumps with machine-like efficiency. It was the ultimate "incorrect" usage of a powerful Quirk—treating a world-class power like a personal butler.

However, Midoriya and Todoroki were analyzing something else.

Why now? Midoriya thought, his pen hovering over his notebook. He didn't use the Stand for the 50-meter dash or the outdoor long jump. He only summoned it once we stepped inside the gymnasium. What is the limitation?

The "Sovereign" was keeping his secrets hidden in plain sight, and for the first time, the "analytical" students realized they were playing a game they didn't yet understand.

A single relevant follow-up question:

With Midoriya and Todoroki now focused on the "why" behind Wu An's selective use of his Stand, do you think Wu An will continue to hide its full capabilities during the upcoming combat trials, or will a challenge from someone like Bakugo force him to reveal his true hand?
