Day 370. 07:00 hours.
The central mansion.
The Atrium.
The narra table.
The household assembled. The household that had Anna. The household that had welcomed her. The household that was Olympus.
Anna Smith sat at the narra table. The woman who had been in Olympus for thirty-one hours. Her dark eyes were still wide, her hands in her lap. She was seeing the household that was Olympus.
Jae-min at the head with Alessia on his lap — nearly six months pregnant with the fundamental baby, the glow warm. His dark eyes were on Anna. The captain was working.
Ji-yoo beside Jae-min. Her dark eyes were on Anna, her hand on the table close to Anna's hand. The twin who was the contact. The twin who was the Right Hand.
Min-joo beside Ji-yoo. His black eyes were on Anna. The Asura captain who had not been told everything, who had been told intelligence extraction. The Asura captain who knew there was more, who did not ask, who was patient.
Anna's dark eyes moved. She was seeing the household — thirty people at the narra table. The household that was Olympus. The household that was different. Not the Federation. Not Preta. Something else. Something she had never seen. Something she was reading.
"The captain who opened a hole in space. The captain who took me from my room. The captain who brought me here." Anna registered, her soldier's mind cataloguing everything — the exits, the people, the weapons, the warmth. "His eyes are calm. His voice is quiet. He is not the monster the Federation described. He is a man. A young man. A man whose twin sits beside him, whose wife sits on his lap, whose household is alive."
Her dark eyes moved to Ji-yoo. The twin who had come to her room. The twin who had said — I know you. The twin who had said — you are important to me. The twin whose dark eyes had held something she could not explain, whose voice had landed, whose voice had stopped her hand.
"She is not a stranger. She is not a stranger despite being a stranger. She is something I cannot name." Anna realized, something shifting in her chest — something she couldn't explain, something older than memory.
The household that was alive. The household that ate together, that laughed, that held each other. The household that was not the Federation. The household that was not cold, that was not structure. The household that was family.
Anna's dark eyes were wet. She was seeing something she had not expected. Something she had not believed.
She was seeing home.
"Anna." Jae-min addressed her, his voice the captain's voice. "Welcome. Again. Last night was the arrival. This morning is the orientation."
His dark eyes held hers.
"Olympus is the compound that holds." Jae-min continued, his voice steady. "The compound that trades. The compound that does not conquer. The compound that asks. You are here because you were asked. You chose. The choice is still yours. Stay or go. The Olympus choice. Always."
"Always." Anna repeated, her voice quiet. Her dark eyes were on Jae-min. She was choosing. She had chosen. "I stay."
"The household." Jae-min continued. "The structure. Olympus has five teams — Strike, Command, Medical and Support, R&D, Olympus Defense. Plus the Deva Group. Plus the Asura Group. Self-managed. The structure is complete. You will be placed. Your skills, your capacity, your role."
"My skills." Anna measured, her voice shifting to the Preta vice captain's register — flat, precise, briefing. "Vice Captain. Preta Group. Hunter. CQC. Knife. Covert operations. Infiltration. Extraction. The skills Rose McDowell trained. The skills the Federation required."
"The skills Olympus can use." Jae-min answered, his voice certain. "Strike Team. Ji-yoo's second. The Right Hand. The position is yours. If you choose."
Anna's dark eyes moved to Ji-yoo. The twin who had said important. The twin whose hand was close. The twin whose dark eyes held something.
"The Right Hand. The position beside Ji-yoo. The position at the twin's right shoulder." Anna registered, something stirring — something she couldn't name, something that felt familiar, something that felt right.
"Right Hand." Anna repeated, her voice quiet. Her hand moved across the table. Her hand found Ji-yoo's hand. Her fingers laced. "Right Hand. I accept."
"Her hand. Her hand feels like something I've held before, something I've known. I don't know how. I don't know why. But her hand feels like mine." Anna realized, something inside her chest shifting.
Ji-yoo's dark eyes were wet. Her hand was held. Her fingers were laced. The twin who had her Right Hand. The twin who was home.
"Right Hand." Ji-yoo whispered, her voice breaking. "Anna. You are here."
"I am here." Anna confirmed, her voice certain. The woman who was staying. The woman who was Olympus. The woman who was the Right Hand.

Day 370. 10:00 hours.
The central mansion.
Level 2.
The command deck.
The briefing.
Jae-min was at the head of the table. The captain who was briefing. His dark eyes swept the room.
The Command Team was assembled. Haitao, James, Elaine, Mei — in her wheelchair, Chocho in her lap, violet-blue eyes on the tablet.
Ji-yoo was there. Her dark eyes sharp. Her hand under the table, her hand on Anna's hand. The twin who was planning. The twin who was working.
Anna was there. The new Right Hand. Her dark eyes reading, learning. She sat beside Ji-yoo. Her hand under the table, her hand on Ji-yoo's hand.
Mei's violet-blue eyes were on the tablet. The divine fundamental who was the brain, the divine fundamental who was the eyes. The divine fundamental whose fingers stopped.
"Captain." Mei reported, her voice flat — the clinical register that meant intelligence, that meant something. "Federation communications spike. Manusya Command. Taipei. Priority One."
She paused, her fingers scrolling.
"Captain McDowell. Preta Group." Mei continued, her voice dropping half a register. "Reporting Vice Captain Smith missing. Method — void breach. Suspect — Del Rosario compound. Manila. Requesting escalation. Requesting Chen Family liaison. Requesting the real force."
The room went still. The room that heard. The room that processed.
Rose McDowell knew. Rose McDowell had reported. Rose McDowell had named the compound. Rose McDowell had named Del Rosario. Rose McDowell had requested the real force.
"The real force." Jae-min measured, his voice quiet. The captain who was filing, the captain who was calculating. "Not Manusya. Not forty-seven mid-tier Enhanced. The real force. The force Yi Chen warned us about. The force the Chen Family sends when the mid-tier fails."
"Seventy-two hours." Haitao added, his rough voice carrying the weight of a man whose intelligence was being confirmed. "Manusya confirmed seventy-two hours. The real force mobilizing. ETA — seventy-two hours. The Chen Family is sending. The Chen Family is coming."
"Seventy-two hours." Jae-min confirmed. The captain who was calculating. Seventy-two hours. Three days. The window Olympus had to prepare. The window Olympus had to hold.
"Yi Chen." Jae-min addressed, his dark eyes finding the heir. "The real force. The Chen Family's real force. What is it."
Yi Chen was at the corner. The heir. The golden eyes. The Deva captain who had defected, the Deva captain who had chosen Olympus, the Deva captain who knew the Chen Family, the Deva captain who knew the real force.
"The real force." Yi Chen began, his voice the heir's voice — the aristocratic register that carried the weight of a man who had been raised inside the Chen Family. "The Chen Family maintains a private army. Separate from the Federation. Separate from Manusya. Separate from Deva, Asura, Gedo, Preta, Naraka. The private army that answers only to the Chen Family."
His golden eyes held Jae-min's.
"The army that the Federation does not control." Yi Chen pressed, his voice steady. "The army that the Chen Family deploys when the Federation fails."
"The army." Jae-min pressed. "Composition. Numbers. Capabilities."
"Composition — Enhanced." Yi Chen answered, his golden eyes steady. "Signature A. Fundamental-tier. The Chen Family's private stable. The fundamentals the Federation does not know about. The fundamentals the Chen Family has been collecting for years. Before the freeze."
His jaw tightened.
"The fundamentals that the Federation's intelligence groups were never briefed on." Yi Chen added, his voice dropping.
"Fundamental-tier." Jae-min repeated, his voice flat. The captain who was calculating. Fundamental-tier. The tier the compound had. The tier Olympus had. The tier the Federation's mid-tier could not match.
"How many." Jae-min pressed.
"Seven." Yi Chen answered, his voice quiet. The heir who knew. "The Chen Family maintains seven fundamentals. The private stable. Seven. Each one combat-trained, each one loyal, each one the Chen Family's. The seven the Federation does not have. The seven Manusya does not command. The seven the Chen Family sends."
"Seven fundamentals." Jae-min measured, calculating. Seven. The compound had ten. Olympus had ten. Ten against seven. The math was favorable — but the seven were combat-trained, the seven were loyal, the seven were the Chen Family's private army. The seven that had been hidden. The seven that no one had seen.
"Capabilities." Jae-min pressed. "The seven. What can they do."
Yi Chen's golden eyes held the captain's. The heir who was betraying his family. The heir who was choosing Olympus. The heir who spoke.
"The seven." Yi Chen began, his voice the briefing register. "I know four. I do not know three. The four I know because I was raised beside them. The four I know because the Chen Family trained me with them."
He paused.
"The first." Yi Chen continued. "Wei Chen. Not the Gedo operative. A different Wei Chen. The Chen Family's namesake. My cousin. Gravity. Fundamental-tier. The gravity that crushes, the gravity that flattens, the gravity that holds."
His golden eyes were steady.
"The Chen Family deploys Wei Chen to pin." Yi Chen pressed. "To hold. To make the enemy unable to move."
"The second." Yi Chen continued. "Ling Chen. My sister. Force. Fundamental-tier. The force that repels, the force that throws, the force that shatters. The Chen Family deploys Ling Chen to break lines, to scatter, to make the enemy unable to hold."
"The third." Yi Chen measured. "Yu Chen. My uncle. Heat. Fundamental-tier. The heat that melts, the heat that burns. The Chen Family deploys Yu Chen to destroy, to incinerate, to make the enemy ash."
"The fourth." Yi Chen finished. "Hua Chen. My aunt. Shadow. Fundamental-tier. The shadow that conceals, the shadow that moves. The Chen Family deploys Hua Chen to infiltrate, to assassinate, to make the enemy dead before they know the shadow is there."
His voice dropped.
"The other three." Yi Chen added, his voice quieter. "I do not know. The Chen Family kept the last three hidden. Even from me. The last three are the reserve. The last three are the failsafe. The last three are the ones the Chen Family does not deploy unless the first four fail."
"The first four." Jae-min confirmed. "Gravity. Force. Heat. Shadow. Four fundamentals. Combat-trained. Loyal. The Chen Family's. Coming in seventy-two hours."
"Seventy-two hours." The room echoed.
"Olympus has ten fundamentals." Jae-min declared, his voice the captain's voice. "Ten against seven. The math is favorable. But the seven are combat-trained, the seven are loyal, the seven are the Chen Family's private army. The seven we have not seen. The seven we must prepare for."
"Prepare." The room echoed.
"Olympus Defense." Jae-min addressed. "The wall. The gates. The perimeter. Rico — command. Paolo — the gate. Gabby — the east wall. Sera — the lightning. Vasquez — the wall. Reyes — the rifle. Olympus Defense holds. Seventy-two hours. Olympus Defense prepares."
"Copy." Aiko acknowledged from the doorway, her amber eyes steady, her Metal Manipulation coiled beneath the surface.
"Strike Team." Jae-min addressed. "Jae-min. Ji-yoo. Woman in white. Yue. Mark Jordan. Gabriel. Anna. The Strike Team is now seven. Anna integrates. Seventy-two hours. The Strike Team trains. The Strike Team is ready."
"Captain." Ji-yoo acknowledged, her voice sharp. The twin whose hand was under the table, the twin whose hand was on Anna's hand.
"Captain." Anna acknowledged, her voice the Preta vice captain's register — steady, ready. The woman who was the Right Hand, the woman who was Strike Team, the woman who was Olympus.
"Command Team." Jae-min addressed. "Haitao. James. Elaine. Mei. The Command Team sees. The Command Team plans. The sensors monitor. The intelligence flows. The Chen Family's seven — tracked. The moment they move, we know. The moment they deploy, we know."
"Captain." Haitao acknowledged, his dark surgical eyes steady. The Gedo captain who was the commander.
"Medical and Support." Jae-min addressed. "Alessia. Hua. The team. The hospital is ready. The wounded are expected. Seventy-two hours."
"Captain." Alessia acknowledged from the comms. The doctor who was nearly six months pregnant, the doctor whose glow was warm.
"R&D." Jae-min addressed. "Mark Jordan. Aiko. Daniela. Lena. The Heracles frames. The PROMETHEUS core. The weapons. Five frames. Five pilots. Seventy-two hours."
"Captain." Mark Jordan acknowledged, his amber eyes steady. The man who was the R&D commander.
"Deva Group." Jae-min addressed, his dark eyes finding Yi Chen. "Captain Yi Chen. The Deva Group prepares. The Deva Group trains. The Chen Family is your family. The Chen Family's seven are your relatives. The Deva Group holds against the Chen Family."
His eyes held Yi Chen's.
"The Deva Group is Olympus." Jae-min declared.
"Captain." Yi Chen acknowledged, his golden eyes steady. The heir who had chosen, the heir who would hold against his own blood.
"Asura Group." Jae-min addressed, his dark eyes finding Min-joo. "Captain Kim. The Asura Group prepares. The Asura Group trains. Seventy-two hours."
"Captain." Min-joo acknowledged, his black eyes sharp. The Asura captain whose Hell Katana was the soulbound weapon.
"Olympus." Jae-min declared, his voice the captain's voice — the voice that held. "The Federation knows. Rose McDowell knows. The Chen Family is coming. Seventy-two hours. The real force. Seven fundamentals. Combat-trained. Loyal. The Chen Family's private army. Coming here. Coming for Anna. Coming for us."
He paused.
"Olympus prepares." Jae-min stated, his voice absolute. "Olympus holds. Olympus does not fall."
"Olympus holds." The room echoed.

Day 370. 12:00 hours.
The hospital. (Formerly Marie's Mansion)
Marie's master suite.
Jae-min visited Marie. The captain who walked through the heated corridor from the central mansion to the hospital. The captain whose boots were on the narra floor. The captain who carried the weight, the captain who was the nephew, the captain who was the godfather.
Marie was in the bed. The mother who was three days postpartum. Her dark hair was loose on the pillows. Her face was tired. Her face was happy. The face of a woman who was recovering.
Rico was beside her. The father who had not left. The father in the chair. His hand on Marie's hand, his other hand on the bassinet. The father who was home.
Little Jae-min was in the bassinet. The baby who was three days old. Sleeping. His fists curled, his mouth open, his breath soft. The baby who was the first. The baby who was Olympus.
"Auntie." Jae-min murmured, his voice the nephew's voice — quiet, warm. "Uncle."
"Nephew." Marie answered, her voice the auntie's voice — tired, happy. "Come. Sit. Hold your cousin."
Jae-min sat on the edge of the bed. The captain who reached into the bassinet. The captain whose hands — large, the hands that held the void, the hands that held the rifle, the hands that held the spatial awareness — reached. His hands found the baby. His hands lifted. His hands held Little Jae-min.
Nine pounds. Warm. Soft. Sleeping. The baby whose breath was against Jae-min's chest, the baby whose fists were against Jae-min's shirt.
"He's warm. He's breathing. He's here. He's real." Jae-min realized, something behind his sternum cracking open. The captain who — for one moment — was not the captain. The captain who was the nephew, the captain who was the godfather, the captain who was the cousin.
The captain who held the baby. The captain who was home.
"He has Uncle's nose." Jae-min whispered, his voice breaking, his dark eyes wet. "He has — Uncle's nose. Auntie's mouth. The Del Rosario jaw."
"He has your jaw." Rico answered, his voice rough, wet — the father's voice. "He has your jaw. The Del Rosario jaw. The jaw that holds."
"The jaw that holds." Jae-min confirmed, his voice barely above a whisper.
"The jaw that does not break. The jaw the baby has. The jaw the next generation will carry." Jae-min realized, the thought settling into his chest like a stone.
"The Chen Family is coming." Jae-min said, his voice shifting — the captain's voice, quiet, certain. "Seventy-two hours. Seven fundamentals. The real force."
"We know." Marie answered, her voice steady. "The household knows. Jennifer broadcast. The household knows."
"The baby does not know." Jae-min breathed, his voice breaking. "The baby does not know about the Chen Family. The baby does not know about the seven. The baby does not know about the war."
His dark eyes were on Little Jae-min. On the sleeping face, on the curled fists.
"The baby is sleeping." Jae-min whispered, his voice raw. "The baby is safe. The baby is Olympus."
"The baby is Olympus." Marie confirmed, her voice warm despite the exhaustion. "The baby is the first. The baby is the reason. The baby is why we hold."
"Why we hold." Jae-min echoed, his voice breaking. "Auntie. Uncle. The baby is the reason. Olympus holds. Olympus holds — for the baby. For the next generation. For the first."
"For the first." Rico confirmed, his hand on the bassinet. His son in Jae-min's arms. The father who was the Olympus Defense commander, the father who would hold, the father who would fight, the father who would protect.
Jae-min held the baby. The captain who held. The nephew. The godfather. The cousin. Home.
The baby slept. Three days old. The first. Olympus. The reason.

Day 370. 13:00 hours.
The central mansion.
Second floor.
Room 1. ( Ji-yoo's room. )
Private.
Ji-yoo sat on the bed. Her dark eyes wet, her hands in her lap, her scythe against the wall. The twin who was alone. The twin who was waiting.
Anna was at the door. She'd knocked. She'd spoken through the door — her voice quiet, searching.
"Ji-yoo." Anna murmured through the wood. "Can we talk."
Ji-yoo had opened the door. The twin who let her in, the twin who closed the door, the twin who was private, the twin who was alone — with Anna.
Anna stood in the room. Her dark eyes on Ji-yoo, searching, reading, seeing the twin who was sitting on the bed, the twin whose dark eyes were wet, the twin who was waiting.
"Sit." Ji-yoo offered, her voice quiet, her hand gesturing.
Anna sat. On the bed, beside Ji-yoo. Her hands in her lap, her dark eyes on her own hands.
"Thirty-one hours." Anna began, her voice quiet, measuring. "I have been in Olympus for thirty-one hours. I have been the Right Hand for thirty-one hours."
"Thirty-one hours." Ji-yoo confirmed, her voice quiet.
"You said I am important to you." Anna continued, her voice careful — asking, searching. "You said you cannot explain. You said you do not want to explain."
"I said that." Ji-yoo confirmed, her dark eyes on her own hands.
"I am not asking you to explain." Anna stated, her voice quiet, her dark eyes lifting to Ji-yoo's. "I am asking — if you are okay."
"Not what. Not how. But — if you are okay. She is asking if I am okay." Ji-yoo realized, something cracking open inside her chest. The twin whose dark eyes lifted, the twin who was seeing Anna, the twin who was seeing the woman who was asking.
The twin whose dark eyes were wet. The twin whose voice was breaking.
"No." Ji-yoo whispered, her voice breaking. "No. I am not okay. I have not been okay for a long time."
"Since the regression." Anna said — not a question. The woman who knew. Not how. But that. The woman who had been told — intelligence extraction, the woman who had been told the cover, the woman who had read the twin, the woman who had read the household, the woman who had read the eyes, the woman who had read the hands.
The woman who knew there was more, the woman who did not ask, the woman who was patient, the woman who was here.
"She knows. Not how — but that. She read me. She read the household. She read the hands. She knows there is more. And she is not asking. She is asking if I am okay." Ji-yoo realized, the thought tearing through her — raw, bleeding, unguarded.
"Since the regression." Ji-yoo confirmed, her voice breaking, her dark eyes wet, her hands trembling. "Since I came back. Since I unmade. Since I left everything behind."
Her voice dropped to nothing.
"Since I left you behind." Ji-yoo breathed, her voice barely a thread.
"Me." Anna whispered, her dark eyes wet. The woman who was seeing, seeing the twin, the twin who was breaking.
"You." Ji-yoo confirmed, her voice fracturing. "You. In the first timeline. You were mine. Important, the kind of important that I cannot explain, the kind of important that I do not want to explain, the kind of important that just is."
Her hands were shaking.
"For two years." Ji-yoo pressed, her voice raw and bleeding. "Until I came back. Until I unmade it. Until you were gone. Until you were here — but not mine. Not anymore. Not in this timeline. Not in this life."
Her dark eyes were wet. Her voice was breaking.
"You were here." Ji-yoo whispered, her voice barely audible. "But you did not know me. You did not remember. You did not feel what I felt, what I feel. You were a stranger who was not a stranger. You were Anna who did not know that you were important, that you were mine, that you were the woman I —"
Ji-yoo stopped. Her voice was breaking, her dark eyes wet, her hands trembling. The twin who could not finish. The twin who did not need to finish.
Because Anna's hand was on her hand. Because Anna's fingers were laced. Because Anna was holding.
"She's holding my hand. She's holding my hand and I can't breathe. I can't breathe because she's here and she's holding my hand and she doesn't remember any of it, but her hand — her hand is the same. Her hand is the same." Ji-yoo realized, the thought cutting through her — raw, warm, bleeding.
"I do not remember." Anna whispered, her voice quiet, her dark eyes wet, her hand on Ji-yoo's hand, her fingers laced. "I do not remember the first timeline. I do not remember you. I do not remember us."
She paused. Her voice dropped.
"But I feel something." Anna breathed, her voice breaking. "Something I cannot explain, something I do not want to explain, something that just is, something that is here, something that is you."
"You feel." Ji-yoo whispered, her voice breaking, her hand held, her fingers laced.
"I feel." Anna confirmed, her voice quiet, her dark eyes on Ji-yoo, her dark eyes wet, her dark eyes seeing. "I do not know what, I do not know why, I do not know how. But I feel. And the feeling is you, and the feeling is here, and the feeling is now."
Anna paused. Her dark eyes were wet, her voice was breaking, her hand was on Ji-yoo's hand, her fingers were laced.
"The feeling is important." Anna finished, her voice quiet. The word. The word Ji-yoo had used. The word that was enough, the word that did not need explanation.
The word that was.
"Important. She used the word. The word I used. The word that was enough. She feels it. She feels it and she doesn't remember. She feels it, and she doesn't know why. She feels it the way I feel it, the way I have always felt it, the way I will always feel it." Ji-yoo realized, something breaking and rebuilding inside her chest simultaneously.
"Important." Ji-yoo whispered, her voice breaking, her dark eyes wet, her hand held, her fingers laced. The twin who was seen, the twin who was known. Not completely, not how, but that. The twin who was important to Anna.
"Important." Anna confirmed, her voice quiet, her dark eyes wet, her hand on Ji-yoo's hand, her fingers laced. The woman who was here, the woman who was the Right Hand, the woman who was home.
The two who sat, the two whose hands were laced, the two whose dark eyes were wet, the two who did not explain, the two who did not need to explain, the two who were here, the two who were important, the two who were important to each other.
The snow fell against the window. Room 1. The bed. The twin and the Right Hand. The two who were home.

Day 370. 14:00 hours.
The compound.
The training yard.
The south wall interior.
The preparation.
The training yard Vasquez had built, the earth manipulation that had flattened the south wall's interior into a sparring ground. Fifty meters by thirty, enclosed, where Olympus trained, where Olympus would prepare.
The Strike Team assembled. Seven. Jae-min, Ji-yoo, the woman in white, Yue, Mark Jordan, Gabriel, Anna. The seven who would fight, the seven who would hold.
Jae-min stood at the center, the captain who was training, his dark eyes sweeping the team.
"The Chen Family's seven." Jae-min opened, his voice the captain's voice. "Yi Chen briefed us. Four known, three unknown. The four: Gravity, Force, Heat, Shadow. Fundamental-tier, combat-trained. The four we must match, the four we must counter."
"Gravity." Jae-min continued. "Wei Chen, the heir's cousin. The gravity that crushes, the gravity that pins. The counter: me. Space. The gravity that crushes, space holds. The gravity that pins, space moves. I am the counter to Gravity."
"Force." Jae-min pressed. "Ling Chen, the heir's sister. The force that repels, the force that throws, the force that shatters. The counter: Ji-yoo. Gravity and Force. The force that repels, gravity holds. The force that throws, gravity anchors. Ji-yoo is the counter to Force."
"Heat." Jae-min measured. "Yu Chen, the heir's uncle. The heat that melts, the heat that burns, the heat that incinerates. The counter: Mark Jordan. Black Hell Flame. The heat that melts, the flame that is hotter. The heat that burns, the flame that does not burn. Mark Jordan is the counter to Heat."
"Shadow." Jae-min finished. "Hua Chen, the heir's aunt. The shadow that conceals, the shadow that moves, the shadow that assassinates. The counter: Min-joo. Shadow. The only Shadow user in Olympus."
His dark eyes found Min-joo.
"Shadow versus shadow." Jae-min declared, his voice dropping. "Min-joo is the counter to Shadow, the Asura captain who will hold the line against the Chen Family's assassin."
"The four known." Jae-min summarized. "Counters assigned. Jae-min counters Gravity, Ji-yoo counters Force, Mark Jordan counters Heat, Min-joo counters Shadow. Four counters against four fundamentals. The match is even."
He paused.
"The reserve: the woman in white, Yue, Gabriel, Anna. The four who adapt, the four who respond, the four who hold the line, the four who extract, the four who fly, the four who are the flexibility."
"The woman in white: blades, regeneration." Jae-min listed. "Yue: Space, Blink, extraction. Gabriel: Solar Wind, aerial. Anna: CQC, knife. The reserve is four, the counters are four, the Strike Team is seven, plus Min-joo: eight."
"The eight who are Olympus." Jae-min declared.
The Strike Team absorbed. The seven who were preparing, the seven who would fight.
"We train." Jae-min ordered, his voice absolute. "Seventy-two hours. Scenarios, the four known, the three unknown, the combinations, the possibilities. We train, we prepare, we hold."
"Train." The team echoed.
The training began.
The captain who was the void, the twin who was gravity and force, the woman in white who was the blades, the marble woman who was the Blink, the man who was the Black Hell Flame, the wife who was the Solar Wind, the Right Hand who was the knife, the Asura captain who was the shadow.
The eight who were Olympus.
Min-joo trained, the Asura captain whose Shadow was the counter, the Asura captain whose Hell Katana was the soulbound weapon, the Asura captain who moved through shadow, disappeared, reappeared. The only shadow in Olympus. The Asura captain who would hunt the Chen Family's assassin.
"Shadow versus shadow. Hua Chen, the aunt, the assassin, the shadow that kills in the dark before the target knows. And me, the shadow that tracks, the shadow that reveals, the shadow that hunts the hunter." Min-joo calculated, his black eyes sharp as he moved through the dark.
Anna trained, the new Right Hand, her knife in her hand, her CQC Preta-trained. She moved fast, she struck precise, the woman who had been Rose McDowell's, the woman who was now Ji-yoo's.
She trained beside the twin, her movements matched, her body remembered something she did not understand, something she could not explain.
"My body knows her. My body moves with her. I don't know how, I don't know why, but my body remembers." Anna realized, something stirring inside her, something older than thought.
Ji-yoo trained. Her gravity and force were the counter. Her scythe in her hand. She moved with Anna. Her movements matched. Her body remembered.
"Two years. Two years of fighting side by side. Two years of this, of moving together, of knowing where the other would be, of matching. And she doesn't remember, but her body remembers. Her body knows." Ji-yoo realized, the thought raw and warm and bleeding.
The two who trained together, the two whose knives spoke, the two whose bodies knew, the two who did not explain, the two who were.
The training yard held, the Strike Team trained, the seventy-two hours began.

The household that was assembled, the household that was preparing, the household that was Olympus.
Anna Smith at the table, her dark eyes seeing, seeing the household eat, seeing the household laugh, seeing the household hold.
"This is Olympus. This is what the Federation was not, this is what the Federation could never be. This is home, this is the thing I did not know I was missing, this is the thing I did not know I was looking for, this is the thing Ji-yoo knew, the thing Ji-yoo felt, the important thing." Anna realized, something settling inside her chest, something warm, something steady, something she could not name but did not need to name.
The snow fell against the skylights, the narra table, the Steinway, the household. Seven women still carrying: Hua nearly nine months, Alessia nearly six months, Elaine nearly nine months, Paolo's four all nearly eight months.
Seven still carrying, seven more babies, seven more firsts, seven more lives. The next generation of Olympus, the generation that would be born inside the wall, the generation that the Chen Family would not take, the generation that Olympus would protect.
And now Anna Smith, the Right Hand, the woman who had chosen, the woman who would fight, the woman who was home.
Olympus held, Olympus prepared, Olympus would not fall.
The snow fell against the skylights, the central mansion, the narra table, the household, the baby upstairs in the hospital sleeping, the Right Hand at the table.
The household that was here, the household that was Olympus.
And the Chen Family was coming.
Seventy-two hours.
Seven fundamentals.
The real force.
Olympus held.
But the war was coming.
Seventy-two hours.
