Chapter 20 - Lucifer’s View on Beauty

Scarlet right now was super bold when she dared to drag Lucifer into the bathroom and strip off his armor. The armor was a bit tricky to remove but still wasn't really a problem. It was the tech from her father's company, so she'd played around with a few similar models before.

Lucifer's body was revealed like a statue carved so perfectly it looked unreal, especially since he'd never gone to the gym for even a single minute in his whole life.

If clicking a mouse could count as a muscle-training exercise, then he confidently declared he averaged sixteen hours a day.

"So unfair… Why do you do nothing but still have such a great body?"

Scarlet touched Lucifer's firm abs and then pinched them. This was the first time Scarlet had ever felt jealous of someone's body.

"Hmph, what's so beautiful about this? It's just a collection of: Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sulfur, Sodium, Chlorine, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Iodine, Selenium, Molybdenum, Cobalt, Chromium, Fluorin…

Anything else? Anyway, just a bunch of random stuff. Compared to the second most beautiful existence like my true form, it's not even worth mentioning."

Lucifer was a bit unsure because his brain right now couldn't hold all of his wisdom, so some mistakes were normal.

Plus, he didn't just say it. As he spoke, he pointed at Scarlet's body as an example, which made her turn red with anger. She felt deep humiliation from that contempt-filled look he gave her body.

"Hmph, what the hell is so beautiful about your true form?"

She really wanted to hear what kind of words Lucifer would use to describe himself. At the same time, she was also a little curious about what the Lord of Hell actually looked like.

"My true form… Very beautiful… My current body is the life of the three-dimensional world. I can't even imagine four-dimensional space, let alone infinite-dimensional space."

This, Lucifer really couldn't do anything about. He didn't remember old memories as images, but as a book narrating events he considered important.

Those images belonging to those spatial dimensions, his three-dimensional space brain had no way to imagine them.

"Huh? What the hell are you talking about?"

Scarlet wasn't exactly clueless. About those spatial dimensions, she vaguely understood that one-dimensional space is a straight line, two-dimensional is a flat surface, and three-dimensional is basically solid shapes.

"Take this for example. Say you're a lifeform in one-dimensional space. The way you see a circle is as consecutive straight lines getting bigger and then smaller.

If you're a lifeform in two-dimensional space, the way you see a sphere is a dot connected to larger circles, then those circles gradually shrink until finally becoming a dot.

And in three-dimensional space… three-dimensional… Never mind, I can't imagine it so I can't explain."

Clearly when he was still in his true form, he had seen all existing things across all spatial dimensions, but now he couldn't remember, which made him a bit annoyed.

"I can only clearly see things in lower spatial dimensions, not clearly see things in higher spatial dimensions. And I didn't come to Earth to teach, so I don't remember something I could tell you to make you understand.

The more spatial dimensions, the more complex. So when I was in my true form, seeing humans was just seeing an extremely simple lifeform."

Sharing knowledge like that, but Lucifer still didn't forget to throw in a few arrogant lines to show off his superiority.

An explanation like that, of course Scarlet understood, but she still wasn't satisfied with him dissing the human body. He right now wasn't that high-level existence, just an unusually strong human.

"Hmph, isn't it that you can't even imagine four-dimensional space right now? If you can't see it, why do you say your current body is ugly? Looks like your memories are stored in text form, huh? Just described with vague and simple words so you can remember easily."

Lucifer looked at her with slight surprise. But he just laughed it off since this wasn't some huge secret anyway.

"So what? If I like it, I say it's beautiful. If I don't like it, I say it's not beautiful. What do you have to prove to me that the human body is beautiful?"

Even though he couldn't remember any images right now, he clearly remembered that he was the most beautiful existence under God. So anyone who said his true form was ugly, he wouldn't agree.

Suddenly Scarlet took off all her clothes, not leaving a single piece, which startled Lucifer. He wasn't embarrassed, of course. He just didn't get why she was trying to prove something so impossible.

Not only did she take off hers, but she also took off the remaining pieces of clothing on Lucifer just in case he was lying to save face.

"So now? Am I beautiful or not?"

Scarlet asked, but her eyes weren't looking into Lucifer's eyes. Instead, she kept staring at his lower half, which made his eyelids twitch a few times.

Since she wanted to know, Lucifer didn't mind staring at her from top to bottom once and then giving a serious evaluation.

"If you're talking about health by human standards, I'll give you an excellent score. But if you're asking me whether you're beautiful or not, the answer is no.

On Earth… no, I should say in this entire three-dimensional universe, there's nothing worthy of me acknowledging as beautiful. There are only things that look unpleasant or things that look pleasant. If we go by that standard, then looking at you is pleasant to my eyes."

His tone was gentle, like he was stating a fact. Lucifer's eyes were still calm, his facial muscles not tense at all. Especially his lower half showed no unusual reaction whatsoever.

"I give up… Is your lower half paralyzed or something?"

Scarlet sighed in exasperation. She had thought when Lucifer called her a 'kid' before, he was just talking big. But at this point, it seemed that in his eyes she was something even smaller than a 'kid.'
