Chapter 1 - Chapter: The First Genius and Not a Genius

"Hello esteemed senior, what are you currently working on?" An intellectual sounding voice came from the side as the figure stared at the blonde haired man with silver eyes.

The single monocle sat on his right eye as he gazed back at the junior who had been pestering him. His mood was at an all-time low.

"Zandar, I'm in no mood to talk right now." He spoke.

"Senior Yun, you are the only other genius within this school that I can talk with on equal grounds. The rest are just too dull." Zandar exclaimed, making no attempt to hide his disappointment with the common person.

Yun sighed as he took of the monocle before giving it a good rub and sticking it back on. "I've told you Zandar, I am not a genius. I am far from being a genius." He droned on robotically.

So many times he had emphasised he was not a genius. This Zandar kid had over-ballooned his intelligence due to his "cheat."

The Akashic Library, a library unique to him, containing knowledge of everything that has been or will be. Of course far future insights required a price.

It's nature was more of an aid rather than a cheat. He was not a genius, but he could spend more time, an infinite amount of time to reach that point. The only "cheat" aspect was a free maxed out skill in cryptology.

He did not tell a lie, he was truly no genius. But using the library to learn took years. The time difference was insane, a moment of an instant from the moment he entered that spiritual library.

His eyes while not physically tired, Zandar could see only a spiritual exhaustion. No the internal fatigue he was experiencing.

"I see senior, you too are exhausted by talking to the common people." He nodded with his arms crossed as if suddenly he understood.

Perhaps sometimes the most idiotic people are the smartest people.

Give them a single piece of dirt and they'll come up with a thousand different ways to conclude the dirt is dirt or the dirt has some hidden secret meaning.

Yun simply shook his head as he shooed Zandar away, "I'm not working on any thesis or breakthrough, just focusing on making a few conveniency products and working on my cryptology."

He gave an explanation as Zandar moved away thinking of such boredom.

He continued typing away at his record logs, a process in which his goal would one day to be able to carve a new future for the people of Amphoreus.

He was not at all satisfied with how the story ended, but not just Amphoreus. If there was one thing that he had always thought about, it was the common man.

If one did not have a "cheat", aid, or some lucky encounter, it was almost certain that your life was in the hands of others. Hoping that no war, or no development would happen.

To be able to make a ripple was a difficult task already.

So when he thought about his goal, it had expanded to making it easier or more convenient for the common man. What imaginary pulse canon? What can that do for the common man other than let them self-destruct?

He stared at the machine in hand as he finished tinkering, it was the prototype of the Omni-Synthesizer that would appear in the future. He would bring this forth into the past.

He finished compiling the designs and the principle behind the production of the item before sending it for approval and the patent.

He soon headed to the cafeteria for food as he met the eager junior once again.

"Hello Senior, we meet once again." Zandar spoke elegantly as he gave a subtle nod for respect of someone with similar capabilities.

"Hello Zandar." His communication was short as they collected their meals before sitting at the same table.

"Senior, did you know a majority of things can be predicted given enough data?" He mentioned a simple principle causing Yun to raise an eye.

"But for you... It feels like no matter how much data I collect, it will never be enough to understand you." Zandar finished as his eyes stared at Yun trying to decipher the depths.

"You're weird Zandar." An apt reply as Zandar was stuck with the label weird by his respected senior.

Zandar chuckled "It's ok senior, you can keep your secrets. I'll someday crack you open to see whats inside that head of yours to label yourself as mediocre."
