"You want us to go down to the 15th floor with you?" Rias asked with interest
"Yeah, now that I've got a boost from my new trainer and a new skill I wanted to head down there, but I'm still not 100% confident on being able to deal with everything down there completely safely so I wanted you two to join me" Nero explained "if you don't feel like it it's fine"
"I'm fine with joining you" Rias smiled "the main reason that me and Yumi are on floor 10 is due to not having someone to act as a vanguard as neither of us really suit the role, our firepower is enough to easily go down a few more floors, and with you acting as the vanguard we should be able to focus on the areas that we are strong at rather than worrying about been attacked, me being a backline mage and her being a ninja who looks for opportunities to attack rather than facing creatures head on"
"I am also fine with going down to the lower floors" added Yumi "I believe that we will make our way there ourselves at some point when we are ready or have someone who can fulfil the role that you will be filling and seeing the floor prior to that will serve as a good reference of what we can expect once we reach that point ourselves"
"Then if you girls are ready we should head to the guild, Akiza has a quest that can be done on the 15th floor and she said that she would hold onto it for us, it apparently pays quite well, not that we really need the money that badly, but the more money we have the better, plus we never know whether my future trainers might want specific things for the house so it's best to have the money to make upgrades if necessary" Nero smiled, excited to venture further into the dungeon for the first time in a while
With the plans being made the three made their way to the guild, Nero still making stones float above his hand as training for his psychic powers, getting to the point now where he could make them circle around is wrist and weave between his fingers effortlessly, showing the increase in control over his powers
Entering the guild as usual there were adventurers everywhere, some looking at the notice boards for quests, others talking to each other about their experiences in the dungeon and others exchanging the magic crystals and monster drops for money
Although it was still early there was a noticeably large number of people waiting at two of the windows for exchanging loot, one being run by Eina and the other being run by Akiza
"Your total comes to 12574 valis" Eina explained to the adventurer she was dealing with
"If I only take 12500 and leave 74 valis for you as a tip would you consider letting me stay here to talk to you a little longer?" asked the obviously smitten adventurer
"I'm afraid that would both be against the guild rules and would hold up the queue" Eina responded with a wry smile, the other adventurers glaring at him due to also fancying Eina
On the other side due to being new to the guild but still being just as beautiful as Eina, Akiza was having to deal with the more forceful adventurers, feeling that due to her only having been hired recently that she wouldn't have the fans to protect her and as such they could act however they wanted
"Hey Akiza, I heard that you like Roses, tell you what, you spend the night with me and I'll buy you as many roses as you want" a rough looking adventurer grinned viciously
"No thank you, you're not my type, you're much too pushy and to be honest, the manure that I use on my roses smells better than you, your total comes to 9762 valis" Akiza replied, unfazed by the mans actions
"Now you listen here and you listen well, this is the only time that I'm going to ask nicely" the adventurer snarled, reaching out his hand
Seeing this Nero sighed, Yumi shook her head and Rias covered her mouth to suppress a giggle as they all knew what was about to happen
All of a sudden one of the plants in the guild hall seemed to come to life, vines shooting towards the adventurer and wrapping around his body and arms, the vines covered in sharp thorns that dug into his skin painfully
"Attacking a guild staff member is grounds for a fine and suspension from entering the dungeon for at least 1 month, the valis that you have earned today will also not be deposited into your account and will instead be taken by the guild member that was threatened as recompense, the guild will be in touch with your god or goddess within the next few days, until then you are to put under house arrest" Akiza stated with sharp eyes, not afraid of the adventurer in the slightest as guards came to deal with the him, the plant returning to normal once they had him under control
Nero, Rias and Yumi made their way over to Akiza's desk where the rest of the people who had been waiting in line were too stunned to stop them, Akiza smiling as they approached
"Sorry you had to see that"
"It's fine, I think everyone could tell that was self defence" Nero responded with a smile
"That man was quite foolish" giggled Rias "trying to put the moves was bad enough, but trying to force the black rose witch to do something, and him only being level 1, what a fool"
"I'd appreciate you not spread my old nickname around" Akiza blushed, responding with a hushed voice "the other girls have already started discussing amongst themselves whether I should get an adventurer nickname after the first time I stopped someone from doing something similar the other day and I'd rather not give them any ideas"
"So what is this quest that you have for us?" Yumi asked, getting right down to business
"Ahem, yes" Akiza responded "an alchemist has made a request for a sample of the moss that grows on the 15th floor as they believe that they have come up with a strengthening potion, they believe that due to the presence of the ligerfangs and minotaurs that exist on that floor combined with the dungeon worms has caused the moss to grow stronger on that floor due to the ash made from such strong creatures being mixed into the soil by the dungeon worms" she explained "the problem for most adventurers would be that they want it fresh and for it to be in good condition" leaning in and whispering quietly to them "but using a combination of Yumi and your ice powers and Rias and your ability to create a storage space, the three of you should be able to pull this off quite easily"
"That makes a lot of sense, thanks for keeping a hold of the quest for us" Nero smiled as Akiza passed across the quest slip
"Just sign here" she stated, pointing to the line "and take this as well, I got it in a pack but don't need it and thought you might be able to use it, it suits your battle style" sliding the card 'trap buster' over to him along with the slip
"I'll be sure to use it if I draw it" Nero smiled, taking the quest slip and sliding the new card into his deck, removing a broken bamboo sword which he honestly only kept in there because for some reason he could only use his cards if he had at least 40 cards in his deck and most of Akiza's daily card packs had nothing that either of them wanted or needed, leading him to keep it in his deck just due to it being a weapon that he could sort of use up to this point and in hopes that he would get the other bamboo swords in the future, placing the card into his storage space as he, Rias and Yumi made their way out of the guild and towards the dungeon.
