Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: The Battle for the Primordial Crown

The Primordial Realm trembled beneath a sky of swirling violet clouds. Lightning streaked across the heavens, illuminating ancient ruins that had slumbered since the dawn of creation. At the center of this mystical land rose a colossal structure—the Sanctum of Origins.

It was here that the final treasure of the Primordial Survival Examination awaited.

The Primordial Crown.

Unlike the Primordial Sigils scattered across the realm, the Crown symbolized absolute supremacy. Whoever claimed it would be declared the foremost prodigy of the Sovereign's Academy.

And every candidate knew it.

The Proclamation

A thunderous voice echoed across the realm as the image of Arcanis Vale materialized in the sky.

"Candidates, the final phase of the Primordial Survival Examination has begun."

His voice reverberated with solemn authority.

"At the heart of the Sanctum of Origins lies the Primordial Crown. Whoever claims it shall be named the champion of this examination."

The aspirants gazed toward the distant temple, their determination ignited.

"Remember," Arcanis continued, "strength, wisdom, and resolve shall determine victory."

The projection vanished.

Silence followed—broken only by the rumble of thunder and the pounding hearts of future legends.

The Convergence of Prodigies

One by one, the strongest candidates arrived at the sanctum.

Caelum Starborn, radiant with celestial light.

Ignisara Flameheart, her crimson aura blazing like an inferno.

Velzira Nightwhisper, cloaked in deceptive shadows.

Eryndor Leafwind, calm as a whispering forest.

Ragnar Stormclaw, crackling with thunderous fury.

Nymera Chronis, her presence bending time itself.

At last, Astra arrived, accompanied by her celestial clone, Seraphine. Though her talent was publicly known as an F-Rank, her composure drew curious glances.

Ignisara smirked. "You again? Don't tell me you came to compete."

Astra smiled sweetly. "Why not?"

Nymera's silver eyes narrowed. "There is more to you than meets the eye."

The Guardian of the Crown

As the aspirants stepped into the sanctum, the ancient runes on its walls ignited with golden light. The ground trembled as a colossal figure emerged from beneath the altar.

It was a towering entity clad in radiant armor forged from primordial stone—its eyes blazing with divine authority.

PRIMORDIAL SENTINEL ACTIVATED.

A deep voice resonated through the chamber:

"Only the worthy may claim the Crown."

The Primordial Sentinel raised its titanic blade, unleashing a wave of energy that shook the sanctum.

"Stand your ground!" Ragnar roared.

The battle began.

Clash of Legends

Ignisara unleashed a torrent of dragonfire.

"Infernal Dragon's Breath!"

Caelum responded with celestial radiance.

"Starlight Judgment!"

Eryndor summoned emerald vines to restrain the guardian, while Velzira cast illusions to obscure its vision. Ragnar charged forward, lightning roaring around his fists.

Yet the Sentinel remained unstoppable.

With a single swing, it shattered their combined assault.

Nymera stepped forward, her voice calm and ethereal.

"Chrono Halt."

Time slowed, freezing the Sentinel for a fleeting moment.

"Now!" she commanded.

But even temporal magic could not hold the primordial construct for long.

Cracks of energy surged through the chamber as it broke free.

Despair began to creep into the hearts of the candidates.

The Heir Reveals Her Strength

Astra stepped forward, her expression serene.

"Seraphine."

Her clone nodded.

"Together."

Golden light radiated from Seraphine as she raised her hand.

"Celestial Spear!"

A beam of divine energy pierced the Sentinel's armor, forcing it back.

Gasps filled the chamber.

An F-Rank… unleashing such power?

Astra followed with her own attack.

"Mana Burst."

Though simple in name, her pure and refined mana struck with astonishing force, widening the cracks in the Sentinel's defenses.

The other candidates stared in disbelief.

"She's… incredible," Caelum whispered.

Nymera's lips curved into a knowing smile. "So the threads of fate converge upon her."

The Fall of the Primordial Sentinel

With renewed determination, the prodigies united.

"Together!" Ragnar roared.

Lightning, flames, celestial radiance, and temporal energy converged upon the guardian.

At the center of the assault stood Astra and Seraphine.

"End this," Astra said softly.

Seraphine raised her hands, light blazing like a newborn sun.

"Celestial Nova!"

The combined attack shattered the Sentinel in a cataclysmic explosion.

As the dust settled, the Primordial Crown descended gently from the air, glowing with ancient power.

Silence filled the sanctum.

The Worthy Victor

Astra stepped forward and grasped the Crown.

The moment her fingers touched it, a surge of primordial energy enveloped her. The sanctum trembled as golden light erupted toward the heavens.

A voice echoed across the Primordial Realm.

"The Crown has chosen its bearer."

A projection of Arcanis Vale appeared.

"The victor of the Primordial Survival Examination is—Astra."

Thunderous cheers erupted throughout the academy as the announcement echoed across dimensions.

Ignisara folded her arms but smirked. "Not bad, F-Rank."

Nymera's eyes shimmered with intrigue. "The future has chosen you."

Astra simply smiled.

A Sovereign's Pride

From the Sovereign's Academy, Lucian watched the scene unfold.

A rare, gentle smile touched his lips.

"She has surpassed even my expectations."

Lilith stood beside him, her crimson eyes filled with pride.

"Our daughter shines brighter than the stars."

Lucian nodded.

"The era of the next generation has begun."

A Shadow in the Distance

Far beyond the examination grounds, a cloaked figure observed Astra through a dimensional rift.

"So… the heir has revealed herself."

A dark sigil pulsed ominously.

"The time to act draws near."

The figure vanished into the void, leaving behind a chilling whisper.

"The game has begun."
