Chapter 7 - Twin Eagle Sabers!

"By the way, I have a hunt tonight, so I have to get back home before nightfall and prepare for it," Leon said as he prepared to leave.

The old man nodded. "Remember not to alter the technique carelessly. A god rank technique has a very fast and powerful chi flow compared to normal techniques. If you screw up, your death won't be anything pleasant."

Leon waved his hand with a grin and dashed home. On the way, he only came across some mortal realm beasts below 5th heaven and returned home faster than expected.

Of course, this time Leon had also collected the materials from these beasts in his storage ring. There were claws, hides of beasts with thick fur, tails of beasts with strong and flexible bones for making whips, sharp teeth of beasts, vital qi cores, spirit qi cores, elemental cores of different colors, and more.

By the time Leon reached the outskirts of the village, it was already late in the evening and the sky was dark. Before going in, Leon stopped in front of a tree with big and durable leaves the size of a human and made a makeshift sack by using some tree fibers. He dumped all the materials he had collected into it.

After all, he could not rashly let anyone else know the existence of his storage ring. For the time being, it was safe to not flaunt his wealth since he was not strong enough to protect it.

Walking towards John's house, he saw the guy tying rope to the belly of two huge barrels, like the grab handle of a school bag, so that both of them could carry the honey back easily.

"How are the preparations? Everything complete?" Leon asked casually as he put down the makeshift leaf bag before John.

John lifted a brow when he saw this. "What is it?"

"Oh, some beast materials I collected on the way back. Process them and sell them in the town when you go this time along with our other stuff," Leon said as he turned around to walk away. "Exactly at midnight we will enter the forest. Do not drink wine before the hunt and mess things up like last time."

John waved his hand dismissively.

When Leon reached home, he saw Amelia running around with a white pony about the same height and size of a baby goat. The little guy looked quite adorable with blue eyes and shiny white fur.

Seeing Leon staring at it, the pony's running motion halted and it hurriedly ran behind Amelia like a child seeking protection from its mother.

"Haha, Sister Coco, you do not have to be afraid of big brother. Come, I will introduce him to you," Amelia rubbed the pony's head with a bright smile and walked towards Leon with the pony obediently following behind her.

"Truly an elite beast. Even though it is just a child, this guy is quite intelligent," Leon rubbed Coco's head playfully with a gentle smile.

Coco squinted its eyes happily and took its own initiative to rub its head against Leon's hand.

Leon played with Coco and asked Amelia, "So, did that uncle tell you how to look after her?"

Amelia nodded. "Before he left the village, he gave me a manual on how to look after unicorns and what their diets and preferences are."

Leon nodded. "If there is something you want to buy for Coco specifically, get Grandma Lilly and go to Uncle John's house. The next time he goes to Rose Valley Town, he will look for it in the town market."

Leon left both the sisters to play around on their own and returned to his room. After untying the belt that held his two scabbards and hanging it on the wall, Leon directly sat on the bed.

With a thought, his vital qi entered the storage ring and the next second a large manual appeared in front of him.

This was a 10 star cultivation manual called 'Twin Eagle Sabers'. After opening the first page of the cultivation technique, Leon looked towards the Primordial Law Codex floating before him.

[Primordial Law Codex - page no: 2]

[Owner: Leon (human)]

[Life essence points: 143]

[Technique: Ultimate Body Forging Sutra (incomplete)]

(Completeness: 25%)

[Technique grade: god]

[Technique realm (mortal): 400/400 (perfection)]

[Note: can consume other compatible, lower or similar grade techniques at perfection stage to repair the technique]

(Compatible techniques: Twin Eagle Sabers (not yet recorded)]

Since Leon did not choose to record the technique right away, the technique was shown as 'not recorded'.

Us for the reason why Leon did not record all the techniques the old man had shown him into the Primordial Law Codex was because even if it was recorded, unless he spent a large amount of life essence points on them it was just useless. Leon was also afraid that he might run out of pages if he actually recorded every random technique he found on the way.

After giving a command to record the technique to the Primordial Law Codex, Leon started skipping through the pages of the manual at an extreme speed without stopping. This was the way to record any technique into the Primordial Law Codex. Leon just had to run his eyes over the technique and it would be recorded.

[Primordial Law Codex - page no: 3]

[Owner: Leon (human)]

[Life essence points: 143]

[Technique: Twin Eagle Sabers (incomplete)]

(Compatible techniques: none)

(Completeness: 14%)

(Completeness: 44%)

(Completeness: 72%)

(Completeness: 99%)

After two hours, the technique was fully recorded and Leon immediately added all the life essence points he had, including the ones he had collected today, directly into the technique.

The next second, he felt as though he had been practicing this cultivation technique for years. Different unique insights and memories related to the "Twin Eagle Saber" flashed in his mind.

This technique was an extremely fast saber technique which was very difficult to master since it involved handling two blades at the same time. But with the help of the codex, Leon understood everything smoothly without any difficulty.

"Looks like mastering higher grade techniques can automatically increase my cultivation speed," Leon thought with joy as he sensed his cultivation speed increase quite a bit from before.

It seemed that he could counter the low quality of his vital core by mastering higher quality techniques.

After resting for a while, Leon started practicing his saber. At the same time, the Ultimate Body Forging Sutra which was already at the perfection stage started circulating on its own alongside it without Leon activating it.

Leon's twin sabers, despite their heaviness, moved like beautiful butterflies in his hands, almost creating afterimages as they effortlessly spun around in his hands like a fan.

He continued his practice for about two hours until Grandma Mercy called him to eat dinner. After freshening up, Leon joined both Mercy and Amelia who were waiting for him to start dinner.

Sister Coco was also given a basin of milk and a few carrots according to the diet prescribed in the manual the chubby merchant had given Amelia.

"Grandma, I will be out to collect honey at night, so do not wait for me and go to sleep early," Leon said as he took a bite out of the chicken leg in his hands.

Grandma Mercy nodded. It was common for Leon to often go out at night to hunt even though he was only 17. Although she was worried about his safety, she was powerless and did not have any means to provide for the family if Leon did not go to work. After all, she herself was just a servant who relied on the salary from Leon to live her life.

Amelia, being a child, did not understand the danger her brother was facing each day to earn for the family. In her impression, Leon was the strongest and no one would be able to harm him.

So when she heard he was going out to collect honey, her eyes lit up as she said to Leon seriously, "Brother, you have to give me at least five bottles this time. After all, Sister Coco also needs honey now. We cannot make do with two bottles like before."

Leon's mouth twitched. He glanced at the white pony which was looking at him blankly when Amelia mentioned its name and shook his head. "This time, there is no honey for you. Since you are cutting on sweets for 13 years from now on, I will give just two bottles for your sister Coco only."

Amelia's eyes widened in panic. "Brother, we decided to drop the idea of cutting on sweets yesterday itself, right?"

Leon glanced at the little girl and chuckled. "It is you who dropped the idea. I am still adamant on it."

Amelia's head dropped as she looked at Coco resentfully. "Sister Coco, you have to give me half of the honey you get. It is because of you that I ended up in this debt."

The white pony looked at the little girl strangely and tilted its head, wondering what its human sister was speaking. After all, it did not even know horse language, how could it understand human language?

Leon and Grandma Mercy burst out laughing when they saw this.

"Don't worry, brother is just teasing you," Mercy rubbed Amelia's head gently.

Amelia cast a suspicious look at Leon and when she saw him trying his best to suppress his laughter, she pouted and looked away. "I won't talk to you anymore."
