The north heart tore free of its foundation while Hajin watched the stolen sky heart turn above the upper terrace through Ferra's trembling brass relay frame.
The frame showed no clear image, only a layered sketch of streets rising from the northern foundation while whole buildings leaned across the moving structure.
Loccy's voice reached the terrace through a heavy route pulse, carrying the scrape of stone beneath her boots as the north heart crossed its own broken courtyard.
"The heart is walking," Loccy said. "It has taken the district with it, and it is heading toward the old custodian cradle."
Hajin turned from the false dawn while Juna cut another hostile eye above the sky heart, her path leaving a bright wound across the blue command light.
Hajin asked, "How many buildings?"
"Enough to make counting insulting," Loccy replied through the relay.
