Hajin dragged the Chains of the Goddess back into his right hand, three Rings still turning behind his ribs.
The lead link hit his palm through burning Resonance channels while he corrected each crossing by hand.
'Ordinary mana, my timing, none of its authority, and that bastard's incarnation stays outside my hand.'
He stopped the extension one link short until Aria confirmed the returning interval.
The avatar shoved its command ahead of the incarnation, trying to slip through before the final crossing could settle in. Hajin wrenched the ordinary return back into place before his aligned links closed tight around the northern armor's battered frame.
"Nice try, you cheating heap of plate," he snarled, "but I've narrowed the feed, so go ahead and move first, see what happens."
'Check the current sequence, not the last one, trusting old crossings is how I lose an arm.'
Aria laid the completed return beside the rising heat in his injured right shoulder.
