But this played right into Milady's hands: as long as she protected the score card she carried, no one else from the Tower family could qualify for the next stage.
In addition to the arrangement of the score cards, the two most skilled contestants from the other families—those destined to be eliminated—had been kept behind. They roamed the hall, occasionally coordinating with the two from the Tower family to attack Milady.
