Then, his hands pressed down.

First, he placed them gently on the back of her neck. His palms were warm, his fingers applying slight pressure as they moved down the line of her spine, inch by inch.

"Here." Mo Bai stopped at a certain spot. "Do you feel the stagnation of Soul Power?"

Xiao Wu bit her lip and shook her head. She couldn't feel anything—except for those hands, and the tingling pleasure brought by that touch that made her scalp go numb. Her Soul Power was circulating frantically, and the light of the yellow Soul Ring brightened uncontrollably.

"It seems it's here," Mo Bai said, his fingers pressing in circular motions at that spot.

"Ah..." Xiao Wu finally couldn't help it, letting out a short whimper. She quickly covered her mouth, her body arching forward as she tried to escape the stimulus that was too intense.

But Mo Bai's hands pressed against her waist, holding her in place.

"Don't move." There was a hint of command in his voice. "I am helping you clear the node. Endure it."

He continued to press. The force was a bit stronger than before, and his technique changed from simple pressure to kneading. Xiao Wu could feel every movement of his fingers, and the texture of his palms rubbing against her skin through her clothes. The sensation was too clear—terrifyingly clear.

Her body began to tremble. Her knees were so soft she could barely stand, and she had to use her hands to prop herself up on the desk in front of her. Books and papers were knocked into disarray by her, but she didn't care anymore.

"Teacher... no..." she said with a sob in her voice. "It's... it's too strange..."

"What is strange?" Mo Bai's hand slid to her side, his thumb pressing into a soft spot.

Xiao Wu shrieked—though she immediately bit her lip, a bit of the sound still escaped. Her waist jerked violently, as if hit by an electric shock. The light of the Soul Ring flickered violently, and Soul Power surged uncontrollably toward the spot being touched.

"Is it here?" Mo Bai asked, his voice devoid of emotion. He pressed again.

This time, Xiao Wu couldn't even make a sound. She collapsed onto the desk, her forehead resting against the cool wooden surface, gasping for breath. An unfamiliar heat surged from deep within her body, spreading from her lower abdomen to her limbs. It felt wet and slippery between her legs, her skirt clinging to her skin, feeling uncomfortably sticky.

"It seems the problem with this node is very serious," Mo Bai said, his hands finally leaving her waist.

Xiao Wu lay there limp, taking a good while to catch her breath. She slowly straightened up, turned her head, and looked at Mo Bai with red-rimmed eyes.

"Teacher..." her voice was still shaking. "What was... that just now?"

"Soul Power resonance," Mo Bai said calmly, pulling a piece of paper from the desk to wipe his hands. "Your body has not fully adapted to the Soul Ring's energy, and certain nodes are overly sensitive. This is a problem that needs to be adjusted."

He walked to the bookshelf, took down a thick notebook, and flipped to a certain page.

"Starting from today, come to me every day after school," he said while recording. "I need to continuously observe the stability of your Soul Ring and make targeted adjustments. This process might be somewhat... uncomfortable, but it is all for your own good. Do you understand?"

Xiao Wu looked at his back, looked at his neat robes, and looked at his serious, professional manner as he took notes.

The slight doubt and unease in her heart were slowly replaced by another emotion.

Teacher was helping her. He was guiding her with serious responsibility. Those strange feelings, those reactions that made her ashamed, were just "Soul Power resonance" and "node issues." Teacher hadn't done anything wrong; he was just fulfilling his duty as a teacher.

And... and that feeling just now...

Xiao Wu's face turned red again. She looked down at the tips of her toes.

Although it was shameful and strange, that feeling of being pierced through by an electric current... wasn't entirely unpleasant. After the initial shock, what remained in her body was a soft, lazy afterglow. It was as if all the tension had been rubbed away, and all the fatigue had been drained.

"I understand, Teacher," she said softly.

Mo Bai closed the notebook, turned around, and gave her a gentle smile.

"Good girl," he said, walking over and reaching out to pat her head. "That's all for today. Go back and rest well. Remember to focus on nourishing the nodes I just checked during your meditation tonight."

His palm stayed on her head for a few seconds. It was very warm and gentle.

Xiao Wu instinctively nuzzled into his palm, like a petted animal. By the time she realized what she was doing, her face was completely flushed.

"S-sorry!" She hurriedly took a step back and bowed. "Thank you, Teacher! I'll head back now!"

With that, she practically fled from the office.

The door closed behind her. Xiao Wu leaned her back against the cold wall, clutching her chest, feeling her heart racing wildly.

The hallway was empty. The sound of other classes in session came from the distance, blurred, as if from another world.

She slowly slid down to sit on the floor, burying her face in her knees.

Her body was still trembling slightly. At the side of her waist where he had pressed, a clear memory of the touch remained. The dampness between her legs hadn't faded; instead, because of the friction from running just now, it had become more noticeable.

Xiao Wu bit her lip, her fingers quietly reaching under her skirt to touch her inner thigh.

Another shudder.

She pulled her hand back and buried her face even deeper.

"This is part of cultivation," she told herself, her voice muffled by the fabric. "Teacher said it's for my own good. I have to be obedient... I have to cooperate well with Teacher..."

She repeated these words like a mantra.

After a long while, Xiao Wu stood up, straightened her skirt and hair, and walked toward Dormitory Seven. Her steps were still a bit weak, but she could walk steadily now.

When she returned to the dormitory, Liu Yue was washing clothes. Seeing Xiao Wu come in, she looked up: "Xiao Wu, are you okay? Your face is still so red."

"I'm fine," Xiao Wu forced a smile. "It's just... Teacher did a Soul Ring check on me, and I'm a bit tired."

"Oh, Teacher Mo Bai," Liu Yue nodded. "He really cares about you. But it makes sense; you're the most talented among the working students. It's normal for Teacher to look after you more."

Xiao Wu gave a vague response, climbed onto her bed, and pulled the bed curtain shut.

In the cramped space, she could finally relax. She lay on her side, her hand instinctively moving back to her waist.

A gentle press.

A faint electric current.

She closed her eyes, and Teacher Mo Bai's image appeared in her mind. His smiling face, his gentle voice, the temperature of his fingers.

Deep inside her body, that heat quietly surged up again.

Xiao Wu buried her face in the pillow, her legs instinctively squeezing together.

Outside the window, the sky gradually darkened. The bell tower of Notting Academy rang the evening chimes, the long echoes resonating through the campus.

Inside the bed curtains, Xiao Wu curled her body, her fingers unconsciously kneading the soft flesh at her waist. Each press brought a wave of shuddering pleasure. Her breathing gradually grew rapid, Soul Power flowed restlessly within her, and the phantom of the yellow Soul Ring flickered in the darkness.

She didn't know what she was doing. She only knew it felt good. She only knew it made her think of Teacher's hands, think of Teacher's voice, and think of Teacher saying, "Good girl."

"Teacher..." she murmured unconsciously, her voice so light only she could hear it.

Her fingers pressed a bit deeper.

Her body jerked violently.

Xiao Wu bit a corner of the pillow, blocking all sound in her throat. At that moment, Soul Power surged out of control, and the Soul Ring glowed brilliantly—though hidden by the curtain, the sudden light still illuminated her flushed face and the dazed, watery look in her eyes.

A few seconds later, the light faded.

Xiao Wu lay limp on the bed, covered in sweat, gasping for air. Quite a bit of Soul Power had been consumed, but her body felt a strange sense of satisfaction.

She lay there for a long time before slowly getting up, changing her soaked underwear, and wiping her body with cold water.

While doing these things, her face remained red, but her eyes were very calm.

One could even say... they were submissive.

During her meditation that night, she followed Mo Bai's instructions, focusing on nourishing the nodes near her waist and spine. When the Soul Power flowed through those spots, the tingling sensation was clearer than during the day, but she didn't resist it.

She simply closed her eyes and circulated her Soul Power over and over, letting her body remember this feeling.

Letting her body remember that this was the "correct" feeling.

It was part of the cultivation that Teacher had taught her.

Late at night. Even breathing sounds filled Dormitory Seven. Xiao Wu lay in bed, her hand resting gently on her lower abdomen.

She had to go to Teacher's place again tomorrow.

When this thought surfaced, there was no fear in her heart, no resistance.

There was only a blurry sense of... something she herself didn't quite understand...

Anticipation.
