Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: A Bully In Everyone's Eyes

Seth woke up to his alarm early the next morning. He had nearly forgotten that it was a Monday which meant that he had school to attend. Dashing to the bathroom, Seth freshened up pretty fast before dressing up in his uniform. He paused a bit, recalling the conversation he had with the beauty the previous night but shook his head immediately, shaking his curly bangs in the process. Seth was indeed a stunner. ' C'mon Seth Williams, you can't fall for that.' He thought to himself whilst picking up his back pack.

Elmstead suburb was a residential area where Seth and a few of his schoolmates lived. A place of luxury yet simple and quiet. It was situated in the Eastern outskirts of Starland City, a few metres away from Skylight academy. As a student of Skylight academy, Seth was clad in a full school uniform comprising of a dark-purple golden-rimmed velvet jacket, a white shirt, a striped-red necktie, a dark purple vest and navy blue trousers along with white sneakers. Girls were usually clad in short high-waisted navy blue skirts. When Seth reached school, one could see at a glance, what a glamorous school Skylight academy was!

Many students of almost all social circles moved around, either alone or in varying groups across the lush green campus with clean ponds around. Magnificent violet and golden castles were used as school buildings with a large pristine white tower at the centre of it all. It looked like a miniature paradise with all the strange star-like lights floating above the castles. No wonder the name of the academy.

Seth gently walked in alone towards the ordinary sector. A school like this, no matter how elite it was, still had 'low class system' such as this, as Seth liked to think. The rich, preferably referred to as Elites, didn't fancy mixing up with 'Trash' hence the social hierarchy within the academy as it was on the outside. He ignored many disdainful stares from many students and proceeded to enter a castle.

In one of the many training halls of the academy, two boys were having an early morning duel. One, a blonde haired blue eyed ardonis, the other, an auburn haired green eyed one. The two of them moved with precision and style, excluding the unnecessary flashiness. Both their auras were high, involuntarily exuding a low-key sense of majesticness to the few spectators within the facility. Among the spectators were a group of beauties who silently cheered on with bright puppy eyes and blush all over their countenances. Normally, they would have been screaming the names of their idols out loud but because of the intensity of this duel, silent focus reigned supreme. It wasn't every day that these students got to have such a scene since the ones dueling were the cream of the crop of the entire academy.

"Vincent sure is fast but Lincoln... it's as if he sees each and every move before countering with precision beforehand." One of the students in the spectating area deduced though his eyes remained focused on the match. "I wonder what it would be like if they went all out. It's such a pity they are using only their abilities and nothing else." Another boy added.

"It's still worth it though." The first boy from earlier said. After that short analysis, they fell silent again and continued watching the match but that silence was short lived.

The huge doors to the training hall were opened from the outside but many people didn't look at whoever had entered. The few that saw who it was gasped. Not in fear or admiration but in disbelief. Everyone in the hall was an elite student yet an ordinary one found their way in here? This was surely a slap in the face to almost everyone in here. They couldn't imagine an ordinary student mixing up with them and one with a bad reputation at that. More and more of the few people here looked at Seth as he made his way to the spectator stands, some in disbelief and some unsurprised. All in all, the two duel participants were unfazed. They were lost in a world of their own.

Right at this moment, Vincent, blonde haired boy placed his palms together and separated the whilst waving in a circular motion as if to form the yin-yang sign. While doing so, he started levitating above the floor and an aura so cold that it cut, burst forth from him slamming into Lincoln. Lincoln was already forming a counter-defensive mechanism against this incoming attack. It was like he had already seen through his opponent's mind. With glowing green eyes, he slammed his palms together before posing a back stance then a horse one. He then moved his right leg forward and brought his arms together to form a cross. An invisible ripple erupted forth from him and collided with Vincent's aura. Both parties' forces cancelled out each other on the spot, sending out shock waves amidst the spectators. No sooner had Seth sat down when the duel came to a closure. The two participants stood face to face, with a bit of sweat on their bodies but didn't look tired at all. Infact they looked at one another with faint smiles on their otherworldly countenances.

YAAAAY!!!!

A huge roar of cheers erupted from the spectator stands and Seth was nearly startled by how thunderous it was. Given the number of spectators around, he concluded that this was something to do with an ability. He looked around but failed to notice the one behind such an ability. Sound manipulation was also a terrifying ability of all those Seth knew. And right now among these elites, there was such a person. Nevertheless, everyone around was pleased have witnessed such an expert level duel.

"Whoever it is, has a good aim." Seth mumbled to himself but had nearly forgotten that such an ability had been used to amplify sound many times hence those near him heard his words. A round of scoffs and disdainful stares came around but the young man paid it no heed. He was caught off guard once again. 'Damn it! Is it because of that girl from last night!?' He frowned as fell deep into contemplation but shook his head pretty soon. He didn't want to have unnecessary thoughts and feelings all of the sudden.

Whilst lost in his own inner debate, Seth didn't notice a small group of people approaching him. Just a glance and one would tell right away what their intentions were. "Well, well, if it isn't Seth Trash Williams." The boy in the lead shouted in disdain as he looked at Seth with a smug expression. The boy had neatly combed blonde hair and had a striking resemblance to Vincent. It is just that he had a childish look on his face and his demeanor was way inferior to that of Vincent. Seth looked at him with a grin as if to say that he had been waiting just for this moment to come.

"If I'm trash, what does that make you… the stain it left behind?" He replied calmly but almost burst into laughter when he noticed the boy's nosal flaring from the rage. " Do you happen to have an elastic ability...'cause the way you control your nose is on another level." Seth added, making some people involuntarily laugh. This attracted attention though, from the two former duel participants and the rest of the students around. This was mainly because the person confronting Seth was non other than Victor, Vincent's younger brother. While Vincent was a senior, Victor was a sophomore just like Seth and the training hall everyone gathered in was for seniors.

"Such a foul mouth, spouting filth just like what you really are. A nobody like you shouldn't even be here. It's so sad that you're blind enough not to notice that." Victor countered breathlessly in a somewhat sissy manner. A few snickers could be heard from the 'audience'. He panted afterwards as though he had just rounded a few laps. Seth remained unfazed as though he was looking at a clown.

"Victor... don't be a fool." Vincent said with squinted eyes as he looked up at his brother who stood a few feet away from a brown-skinned handsome boy. When he looked at Seth, he didn't find any threat after all the young man gave off an ordinary demeanor. 'Apart from looks, there's nothing else he's got.' Vincent thought to himself as he scrutinized Seth. Hearing his brother's words, Victor felt a surge of anger deep within him but held back. He gave Seth one last glare and backed away. "I'll get you next time, count yourself lucky this time round." The sissy elite spat a few last words at him as he walked away.

Seth being the guy he was, and to uphold his reputation as a delinquent, didn't let Victor go off easily. " Run away like the dog you are." He said with a snort but with a stoic expression. Those around thought that the guy was courting death but Victor knew best not to challenge Seth to a duel. He sped away with a few snorts and disguised curses since he had a noble reputation to uphold.

Vincent gave Seth one last look before going after his useless brother. On the other hand, Seth scrutinized Lincoln contemplating that last move the man had used to counter Vincent's attack. At that moment, Lincoln turned and locked eyes with Seth. The two held a steady eye contact for a while before Lincoln walked away to avoid his fan girls, preferably 'flies' as he liked to call them.

Seth could not help but chuckle at the sight. He also upped and left the seniors' training hall and headed for classes. A few boring periods later, it was lunchtime hence everyone was heading for the grand cafeteria. On his way, Seth who was unusually lost in thought at the moment, accidentally bumped into a boy and unsurprisingly enough, the boy scrambled away with bows and apologies. Seth was a bit dumbstruck by the outcome.

"I know I'm just a bully in everyone's eyes, but this fear..." Seth mumbled to himself but soon trailed off as his thoughts drifted back to that intense eye contact 'showdown ' he'd had with Lincoln earlier that morning. ' He's a combat freak. ' Seth thought with a hint of admiration and a faint smirk on his countenance. He was quite a head turner though, it's just that he received glares instead of those bright puppy eyes hunks usually got. " What a reputation I've got!" He mumbled to himself with a chuckle before going for his food in the grand cafeteria.

The day wasn't any different from the other week days. And pretty soon, it was time for Seth to head home. The problem is that he didn't expect a convoy of luxury cars to block his way in front of the school gates. Many students stopped in their tracks to take a look at the drama about to unfold. Since Seth the notorious school delinquent was at the focal point of it all, they wished he'd be embarrassed. Many students silently cheered as they hoped for him to get a good beating.

" What's the meaning of this!?" Seth inquired in a slightly impatient tone but with a calm demeanor. 'Hace they found me this quick? No it can't be!' He thought to himself with wariness in his heart but couldn't show it at the moment.

"Aww...you in for it buddy. Just make sure you don't be a crybaby." A male voice with a slightly feminine tone rang out amidst the gathered students. Seth frowned. He didn't need to guess who it was that had such a voice, of course it was Victor. "Yeah and make sure not to hold it against anyone here... You brought this disaster upon yourself." Another voice added with a snicker. Of course that was Victor's underling. Seth and a few students couldn't help but give them an eye roll.

The very next moment though, a graceful silhouette stepped out of the car. When Seth saw her, his eyes bulged a little bit. " This can't actually be real. This...this girl..." Seth mumbled to himself, ignoring the stares of disbelief that were directed at him.
