'Just how strong are they?' Alan thought, shock colouring his expression as he started slowing down as he walked closer to the scene of the accident.
The rest of the students had started running towards the location, either by a sense of urgency about what had happened or simply because they were curious about the situation.
Alan stopped at the edge as his eyes swerved as he caught sight of the rest of the Cullens on the other side of the parking lot. Alice looked…. Relaxed whilst the rest of them didn't so much.
Especially Rosalie Hale who looked like she had bitten something extremely sour, her expression much colder than anything Alan had seen before, it was colder than the ones she used to give him at first, it looked almost the same as what Edward's expression had looked like on that very first day when he had sat next to Bella Swan.
Alice's eyes caught his for a moment as she gave a soft, barely there smile and a nod towards him.
The motion confused Alan, he had just seen what had happened, he had just literally seen Edward move towards the other side of the parking lot at basically super speed and she was smiling and nodding at him.
'Just… what? That's a confusing reaction, weren't they trying to hide this shit? Just what are you thinking Alice?' Alan thought to himself in confusion for a brief moment before he pushed through the crowd carefully and arrived at the front to check what had happened.
Bella was laid down flat on the asphalt and she clearly looked dazed though there was no blood anywhere and from what he could see there really wasn't a single scratch on her.
The van seemed to have hit the edge of Bellas truck as it had swerved to the side… at the very last moment.
Alan's eyes moved quickly as he observed the damage, the entire scene being taken in by his perception and the outcome that was coming out clearly didn't add up at all.
'She should have gotten crushed, she would have if Edward didn't save her. And this fuckin… how do you explain this? I guess other humans wouldn't question it much considering the shock of the situation?' Alan thought as his eyes went to the part of the van that had been hit, it was a dent, a dent that looked… almost smoothed over.
'He smoothed it… with his damn hand, im pretty sure it would have been a hand indented in there if he hadn't and the other fact is, if that thing hit Bella's truck.' Alan thought as his eyes moved towards the orange truck.
'Then why did that thing not have a single darned scratch on it. Sure, old cars were built better, stronger materials, better frame, but the paint would have alteast gotten a scratch, maybe an indent on it, but theres nothing… damn Edward, you really are one confusing guy, first you hate her, and now you practically blow your cover to anyone that actually looks close enough for her.' Alan thought to himself as he slightly shook his head and turned as he walked away from the crowd.
He wouldn't be gaining anything more from staying close, he had atleast however gotten a few clues about the actual strength of the Cullen's, he didn't know their exact strength or limits, or how far Edward had to push himself to achieve a feat like this however he was sure about some things. One that he was most definitely sure about was…
'They're stronger than me still, I knew from the observation skill not working, but this… this is beyond anything that I thought was possible, they're basically the Flash, and have super strength and durability on top of it for them to be able to handle moving at that speed and stopping a collision. Damned Vampires, why didn't I get to be a vampire, but nooo, I have to be a beautiful femboy elf. Fuck.' Alan thought as he walked away from the crowd and started heading back towards the front of the school, as he was walking, he arrived closeby to Alice and stopped for a moment as he turned to her.
"Not going to check on your brother? He might have gotten hurt, that looked pretty dangerous." Alan asked, a slight smile appearing on his face, it was almost amused, almost teasing in a way as he looked at the woman who had until now tried her best to confuse him, even eating a apple right before him in the cafeteria just to make sure that he didn't think about her true nature.
Alice just shook her head slightly, she wasn't exactly smiling like she usually was, but she didn't look like she was in the worst of moods like Rosalie, and she had even smiled at him earlier, the quick changes of her expression and the moods were becoming more confusing by the day.
'Can't this girl just choose one mood and stick with it, bipolar… definetly bipolar.' Alan thought to himself as he waited for her reply, which was taking quite a bit longer than her usual instant replies whenever she talked with him.
"Ah well… I saw him from this side, he didn't look that hurt and there wasn't any screaming from him… and well I just always like hoping for the best so honestly… I didn't want to go running incase something actually did happen… I, I wouldn't have taken it well." Alice says softly as she shook her head at him lightly, her eyes turning down for a moment, giving an image of what Alan thought was almost the picture perfect response of a scared worried sister.
