The exam papers were quickly spread all around the class and in less than a few minutes, every student inside the classroom had a copy of the exam paper.
Looking down at the paper in front of him, Alan started reading each question carefully before closing his eyes and lifting his head up slightly, tilted to the ceiling.
'Ah… I am… quite fucked.' Alan thought inwardly before turning his attention back once more as he grabbed a pen and started writing his name on the paper before moving on to the first question and then to the second… and then to the third and fourth and so on.
Until he suddenly found himself at the last question on the paper, whilst having written nothing at all, having answered none of the question.
'It's clear then that… my intelligence stat it… it doesn't suddenly make me a genius, it's merely… what my potential is. So I have the potential to reach a ludicrous genius level but I still have to work to get there, thats what the normal stat points are…. Okay.' Alan thought as he sighed before turning his head as he saw the rest of the students were already writing on their own papers, most of them at least seemed to know a few of the questions.
'Alright, calm down… I can still try to copy and cheat.' Alan thought as he gathered his breathing and then turned his head discreetly towards the professor and it seemed that luck did indeed favour him as he saw that the professor… was not looking in his direction at all.
Getting up slowly from his chair without making any noise, Alan quickly tried to look at the paper of the student in front of him… only to realise that he couldn't decipher the words at all as he quickly sat down.
'Fuck, fuck fuck… this fucking perception stat.' Alan cursed inwardly as he almost banged his head onto the table.
'I spent all my fucking points into stats that should be good but the investment is fucking zero, the only good one is the luck stat and this god damned exam doesn't have any options, all the questions require you to fucking write an essay.' Alan thought as he released a sigh and gave up.
Minutes quickly passed and soon enough the bell signaling the end rang, and the professor quickly told the students to raise their pens and hand the exam papers to the person Infront of them until they were all gathered at his table.
The tests were quickly gathered and soon enough the professor gave them a nod signaling that they could leave.
Getting up from his seat and quickly grabbing his backpack, Alan headed to the professor.
"Hey Professor, is it possible to like y'know get another chance after this? Maybe get questioned verbally, I don't do well with exams." Alan said as he nervously fiddled with the strap of his backpack.
"Sorry Alan right? Can't do that or I'd have to give everyone else a second chance too, don't worry though this isn't the final grade, there will be at least two more exams." The professor replied as he shook his head in a clear dismissal.
Nodding his head, Alan turned and started walking away like e penguin towards the door, releasing another deep sigh as he continued on his way.
'Charisma ten my ass.' Alan thought as he left the classroom and headed into the halls.
The next few classes passed and soon enough it was time for the lunch break, leaving his third class of the day as soon as the bell rang, Alan was instantly met with the swarm of dozens of students heading towards the cafeteria all at once. Following the horde of hormonal teens, he quickly arrived at the large cafeteria hall.
Walking inside, the room finally entered his sight. It was large, and seemed to be made of two primary sections. The first section was the part where the students were lining up to get their school lunch from the lunch lady who would gather scoops of it and hand it to the students who held lunch trays in their hands.
The second section of the room was the seating area, made of dozens of desks that were usually gathered in groups of three desks put against each other so that more students could sit together at the same time.
There weren't too many of them at least in comparison to much larger schools in other cities as Forks was quite a small town, and because of that it was even more easy to find the social groups and at what table sat who.
At the start of the room were three tables that were mainly used by the regular students who didn't particularly belong to any social group but simply shared classes. A bit farther around the middle sat who could be called the popular students, the sports kids, the cheerleaders and the likes. And finally by the end of the hall, the tables were usually empty besides one at the far back corner.
There they sat, the most famous kids in the entire town of Forks. The Cullen Family.
They weren't famous because they partook in sports, they in fact didn't and neither were they some kind of social butterflies that knew how to talk with everyone and make friends, no it was in fact the opposite. They didn't do sports, they didn't talk with anyone outside of their own family and they didn't even seem to want to. And the reason for their fame? They hadn't always lived in Forks and had transferred a while back, giving them a shroud of mystery that was only intensified by their behavior and the other perhaps more relevant reason was that they were simply…
'God damn… talk about winning the genetic lottery, I get surprised every time I see them.' Alan thought to himself as he walked towards the end of the hall, deciding that he'd rather sit alone however , before he could, he was interrupted.
