CHAPTER 2 Viktor
Lao Fei soon could no longer see anything. Then suddenly his vision became clear. A couple of women were right In front of him. He then felt a sudden sharp pain, "Ugh, What the heck woman."
"Ngwaaaaa!!!" A baby started crying. 'Was that me?' He thought to himself.
"Ahh he is certainly a fine baby Ma'am. He'll certainly grow to be a fine strong man," one of the women said, wrapping the baby in a cloth and handing him over to a woman lying on a bed.
She looked at the boy with joy while holding him in her arms. Then turned to look at something or someone and spoke.
"Look David, it's our son. What should we call him?" She spoke with a smile of joy on her face.
Then a man walked up to her while looking at the baby. "How about,Viktor. Like the family founder."
"That's a wonderful name, his name will be Viktor Pelvok."
'What are these guys saying, I can't understand a word they are saying' Lao Fei thought to himself.
He tried to survey the area, to make out what was happening.
A middle aged woman as if in her mid fifties was standing near the bed with her head looking down on the floor in a submissive way. She had black hair with strands of grey hair on her showing her advancement in age. There were other women behind her, some who looked relatively young as if in their mid thirties, and twenties. Then there were these two fellows who were holding him closely while smiling. He tried to raise his hands and to push her away.
'Huh! What the heck are these scrawny hands...he thought to himself. And I really am a freaking baby. Sigh…Oh my Gosh, All along I thought that this must have been a dream and I probably needed to wake up.
Wait yeah this must be it maybe I'm just stuck in a paralysis and I need to do something to wake up. Uuugh'
Cough, Cough "Ngwaaaa!!"
"Seems like the baby is hungry, David." The woman reached out to her chest and unbuttoned her shirt revealing her breast ready to breast feed the child.
'Are those, ohh,,,hohoho sweet.' The baby reached out his hands to grab the breasts and suckle on it. 'mmmh….it's warm…. maybe it's not such a bad dream after all,' he thought.
Damm I'm full, now time to figure things out…' Yawn 'But first I need to rest. I'm getting a bit sleepy.'
Three weeks have passed and since. Lao Fei now Viktor Pelvok had reincarnated into this world. Day by day he started to come to terms that maybe he had reincarnated and the kid who talked to him was actually real.
Since then he came across several people. The women who looked like maidens came every now and then to check on him and change his garments which he soiled himself on. Others were who seemed like his family members, his current mother who had long blond hair and blue eyes that sparkled like stars, this gave her a sophisticated look of nobility. She had red ruby earrings on her left ear that were attached to gold engravings with intricate design. Viktor could not help but be attracted to it, while being held by his mother, Annesa, her name. He would often try to grab hold of it.
Ohh my would you look at that our boy seems to have an eye for jewellery." David chuckled in the back before kissing his wife. "Indeed he has." Annesa responded. He was tall with masculine features, broad shoulders, thick muscles and a grey beard that covered his face. He also had grey hair while lying on one side, his eyes on the other hand had no special features, just normal brown eyes.
Unknown to David is that the boy could see the wave of energy being emitted from the ruby. Annesa was unsettled realising that perhaps her son can see what it is as well.
In the mansion's Solar, which is hard wood finishing walls with intricate curvings. There was also a large glass window that allowed the full moon's light to illuminate the room rendering the candle lights useless. In the middle of the room lay a Great bed with silk curtains covering the bed.
"My love, you seem troubled." David asked his wife after seeing her in a daze for a while.
"I am afraid for our little boy, David. He could see mana," she responded.
"Impossible, at such a young age he can barely stand on his own two feet."
"But yet."
"I think you are just tired, perhaps you should get some rest."
She did not want to dwell on the matter and neither to tell him that her prized possession was enchanted. She then decided to sleep and assume that perhaps her intuition was strong.
'Mmm it's so constricting, is this how people in isekai usually feel? The authors certainly leave this part out, even worse I'm still having a hard time controlling my bowel movement.'
'Once I'm a few months old and have enough muscle strength and bone density, I should first try and crawl to get a good look at this place.'
Seven months later, Viktor Pelvok was now eight months old and by the six month he had started crawling around the house and sneaking out to explore the manor.
"Young Master, it's time to eat now." Yanneka, the maid servant in charge of taking care of young master Viktor, usually crept up as she approached the cradle while smiling. Upon reaching the cradle she found it empty.
"Young Master, this isn't funny, young master." knowing of his mischief she frantically searched the whole room in search of the young master.
Her panic was visible, being a valid response. For a servant in charge of taking care of the lord's child, meant immense trust from the family. But if anything happened to him under her care. It meant disaster for her and her whole family. The fright could no longer be held back.
"AAAAHHH!" A loud sharp scream reverberated in the whole floor. Birds that landed on the corbelled ledge and roof top flew away, not being able to bear the pain of the high pitch.
Other servants and guards within the floor rushed towards the screams. The guards especially were on high alert.
"On guard men!"
"What happened Yanneka,What did you see?" One of the guards that kicked the door open inquired with his sword drawn, ready to cut off the head of the intruder.
Yenneka could only stammer with fright in her eyes. "You…Young…Ma…Mas…"
As if they already understood the situation the guards also showed a visible sign of shock and so did the maid that arrived.
One of the guards soon came back to his senses. "Sound the alarm, the young master of the house is missing. Alert all the guards to be on high alert."
"YES SIR!!!" they all responded in unison before spreading out.
The maid servants went to comfort the young lady Yenneka. Also understanding that she is not only frightened about the life of the young master, but of her own as well along with her family's.
