{Flashback to high school}
In March of the year 201X, a newlywed couple caught everyone's attention. The couple, holding hands, walked onto the school grounds, surprising many.
"Make way for the lovebirds, everyone," J-Hope called out to their classmates. "Yes, indeed, your new couple is y/n, a 2nd-year student, and Namjoon, a 3rd-year student," Suga added with a sarcastic tone.
The students parted to create a grand walkway for them, as if they were on a red carpet.
"Guys, that was so embarrassing; please don't do that again," Namjoon said, looking upset. "It's fine, let them enjoy it. They won't have this chance again," y/n reassured Namjoon.
Jin, who was running late that morning, missed the scene until lunchtime.
It was lunchtime; all eyes were on y/n and Namjoon.
"Are you sure they're a couple?" one student whispered. "Yes, they must be. Would couples hold hands if they weren't?" another student replied quietly. "Who's with who?" Jin asked. "Namjoon and y/n are together. They came in this morning holding hands," the student explained. "Really? Well, that's nice for them, I suppose," Jin said as he walked away from the two girls.
Jin headed to the table where he noticed the members, along with Namjoon and y/n sitting close; something inside him began to crumble.
"Hey guys, what did I miss?" Jin asked as he sat beside Taehyung. "The lovebirds here made their big entrance," Jimin replied, his mouth full of rice. "Big entrance? Please tell me it wasn't J-Hope's idea to go wild and shout 'make way','" Jin said, laughing and nearly choking on his rice. "Indeed, I did," J-Hope chuckled.
As the others began to chat, Jin's gaze kept drifting to where Namjoon and y/n were sitting.
"Jin is looking this way; you should say something to him," Namjoon suggested. "I did send him a secret signal to turn around, but he won't move," y/n replied. "Anyway, are you free after school today?" "Today? I have cram school, but I'm available tomorrow." "Alright, I'll remember that."
The bell rang, marking the end of lunch.
After school, y/n headed to cram school and found her friends there.
"Y/n, when were you going to tell us about you and Namjoon dating?" asked Seo-ah. "We started dating after the first snowfall, so I guess it's been a month now," replied y/n, pulling out her notebook before class began. "But I thought you were going to date Jin," said Ji-an. "I thought so too, but he never made a move," y/n said, indicating that the instructor had arrived.
After cram school, y/n was leaving the building and spotted Jin waiting for her. Jin was like y/n's Uber, but on foot, since they lived about 10 blocks apart.
"So when did you and Namjoon begin your relationship?" "A few days after the first snowfall fall." "Before that, you were sick with the flu." "Yes. He just appeared at my place out of the blue." "Y/n, listen, I want to tell you that—never mind." Jin couldn't admit that he had been in love with her while they were in middle school, but he feared losing his best friend forever. They soon reached y/n's apartment building, where she thanked Jin for walking her home safely, and then she went inside. Jin walked backward, pulled out his phone, and began to listen to "Save Me," as tears started to roll down his cheeks.
Two months have gone by, and their relationship is still thriving, with Namjoon leaving little gifts on y/n's desk during class breaks. This made all the female students envious, leading them to resent y/n for her closeness with Namjoon and the other members.
"Hey y/n, stop getting so close to Namjoon and the others," Ha-yoon said. "Excuse me? I'm dating Namjoon, and I've been friends with the members since childhood," y/n replied, trying to keep her cool. "Regardless, just keep your distance, you bitch." "What if I choose not to? Who's going to stop me?"
Ha-yoon confronted y/n and slapped her, causing y/n to fall to the ground.
Ha-yoon and her group began to kick her over and over until Seo-ah and Ji-an arrived to save y/n. "I warned you not to touch her, how many times must I say it, Ha-yoon?" yelled Seo-ah. "Many times, but that won't stop me," Ha-yoon shoved Seo-ah. Seo-ah and Ha-yoon then got into a physical altercation until the instructor intervened and halted it. Both Seo-ah and Ha-yoon were taken to the principal's office and received a one-day suspension.
During gym class, Ji-an sat with y/n and looked after her while others started to stare.
"Don't let them bother you, y/n. I'm sure Seo-ah is feeling proud for beating Ha-yoon," Ji-an said, trying to lift y/n's spirits.
From a distance, Jungkook noticed y/n with her head down and hurried over.
"Is she alright?" Jungkook asked, concerned. "Yeah. A mean student from our class slapped her and kicked her while y/n was on the ground trying to protect herself, but that student got suspended for a day," Ji-an explained, glancing up at Jungkook. "Thanks for telling me, Ji-an. I'll inform Namjoon about this. Please look after y/n for us today and for the rest of the school year after we graduate."
Jungkook then jogged off to join his dodgeball team.
Namjoon stood outside the gates waiting for y/n when y/n hurried over and hugged him. He had already been informed by Jungkook about what happened to y/n after gym class, so he knew what to expect when he saw her.
To lift her spirits, Namjoon chose to take y/n to a gaming café. As they entered the café, y/n noticed Ha-yoon and her group in the corner. Y/n looked down; Namjoon saw this and glanced at the direction y/n had just been looking.
Once y/n got comfortable, she began to play, as there was no time to waste.
Namjoon gently tapped y/n's shoulder to signal that he was heading to the restroom and would return soon.
As he walked to the restroom, he noticed Ha-yoon and her group following him from the corner of his eye. When he exited the restroom, he found himself face-to-face with them.
"I heard about what you did to my girlfriend today. Do you really think you can escape the consequences just because you're Ha-Kyung's little sister? I know your sister well, and if she learns about your actions, I'll be laughing in a corner," Namjoon mocked.
"I'm not afraid of you or my sister. I did what I wanted to—make y/n look ridiculous in front of the whole class—but Seo-ah jumped in front of her and messed everything up," Ha-yoon replied, glancing at y/n and signaling her crew to go after her. "Okay, but I won't say you were warned by the news your sister will give you tomorrow."
Namjoon rushed to y/n, who was finishing her playtime, to keep her safe from Ha-yoon's group.
The group and Ha-yoon turned and left.
Namjoon held y/n's hand and guided her home.
The following day, Ha-yoon was quickly taken out of school, which led her to relocate from South Korea to the States with her father. The whole class learned about it and turned against her group, with everyone in the class rejecting them.
For y/n, the day went well, giving her a rare moment of peace in her life.
"Hey y/n, remember we have our final cram exam today; the teacher said to arrive right after school ends," a male student reminded her. "Oh, that's right. Did you study today? I managed to cover half of it but ended up dozing off afterward," y/n replied as she walked down the stairs to the main entrance.
Y/n and the male student chatted until Namjoon noticed them.
Y/n informed Namjoon that she couldn't hang out today due to her exam and that she was " heading to her cram school with Yu-jun today," y/n said, waving goodbye to Namjoon.
"Hey joonie, what are your plans for today?" Taehyung asked. "I had plans with y/n, but it looks like she has other things to do. Do you happen to know that boy Yu-jun she often hangs out with?" "Yu-jun? Oh, you mean Jimin's friend's younger brother. Yes, I know him. He's a nice kid; why do you want to know?"
"I've noticed y/n spending time with him lately, at lunch, during breaks, and even after school. I just don't like him getting too close to her." "I'm sure they're just friends. Come on, let me take you to an art museum to help you relax."
Five months have gone by, and Namjoon's kind personality has turned into an obsessive one. After he noticed y/n spending time with Yu-jun everywhere, he began to stay close to her.
Then one day, he crossed the line.
While walking down the stairs, Namjoon overheard y/n and Yu-jun talking and grabbed her arm, pulling her upstairs toward the roof.
Once they reached the roof, he released her arm and pushed her, causing her to struggle to get up from the ground. Y/n, shaken by what just happened, remained frozen in place.
Namjoon rushed towards her, grabbing her face and shouting, "WHY DO YOU KEEP TALKING TO HIM? WHY CAN'T YOU TALK TO SOMEONE ELSE WHO ISN'T A MALE? TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS. BUT WHY HIM?" "Joonie, you're hurting me. Please let me go." "No, not until I get an answer from you." "Please, you're hurting me."
Namjoon grabbed y/n by the collar of her uniform shirt and slammed her against a nearby wall. He charged at her again, hitting her on her arms multiple times before stepping back.
"From now on, don't speak to anyone unless I give you permission. If I see you with a male again, I will keep hurting you. Do you understand?" "Yes," y/n replied in a shaky voice.
Namjoon left the roof, leaving y/n there as Jin arrived, looking for her and noticing the bruises on y/n.
A year later, y/n and Namjoon were no longer together due to the severe abuse she endured in that relationship. She had a restraining order against Namjoon for a few years until it expired. After that, Jin and the other members began to look out for her in case Namjoon repeated the same behaviors she faced in her second year.

Namjoon: There it is. The first flashback showing how our beautiful relationship began and ended.
Jin: You're just filled with jealousy. You hurt her in a way that made it impossible for her to defend herself. When I saw those bruises after finding her on the school roof, I knew I had to intervene.
Namjoon: You did, but what was the outcome?
Jin: After she ended things with you, the abuse ceased, and she could finally sleep soundly and live a normal life. It wasn't until you two started dating again, this time pretending, that you reverted to your old habits. You abused her again, but this time it was even worse.
Namjoon: Let's change the subject. Jin, be quiet, you talk too much.
Jin: We're not changing the subject. There's another flashback that needs to be shared, and it's about the incident on Jeju Island six years ago.
Namjoon: That story? Jin, now is not the right time. Should we allow y/n to decide?
Jin: Y/n can't even speak with that tape over her mouth.
(Namjoon approached y/n, took off the tape from her mouth, and noticed a terrifying expression on her face.)
Y/n: At last, I can talk. I agree with Jin; we need to uncover the truth about what occurred on Jeju Island 6 years ago and who the real victim and villain were.
Namjoon: My dear treasure, please remove that terrifying expression from your face. I do not like it.
Y/n: What? This terrifying expression? You don't like it? Hahaha, don't make me laugh, Joonie. Are you scared of me?
(Namjoon hit y/n in the face until blood began to flow from her nose.)
Jin: NAMJOON, STOP THIS RIGHT NOW. YOU NEED TO BE QUIET AND LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE. IT'S MY TURN TO SHARE THE OTHER FLASHBACK BEFORE YOUR ABUSE TOWARDS Y/N CONTINUED.
{Flashback to Jeju Island}
In the summer of 201X, the BTS members and y/n went on a trip to Jeju Island with the staff. It felt more like a day-off getaway to celebrate their hard work and to relax before their first tour after finishing high school.
They arrived at the LOTTE WORLD JEJU resort, and y/n began capturing stunning photos. "This resort looks really pricey. Can we actually afford this?" y/n asked, glancing around.
"Well, yeah, we are already here," Jin joked. The staff completed the check-in process, and everyone followed them into the elevator to the 3rd floor. The staff informed them that there were 3 rooms available.
In the first room: Namjoon, Jin, and Jimin; in the second room: J-Hope, Jungkook, and Suga; in the third room: Taehyung, y/n, and the staff. One by one, each room door opened, revealing the most comfortable and luxurious room ever.
Y/n dashed to the balcony and spotted the swimming pool and a beach from a distance. "I can smell the ocean breeze from here," y/n said while inhaling the air and taking photos. "You definitely can! Look, we are neighbors. Hi y/n and hi Jimin," J-Hope said, waving to y/n and then turning to wave at Jimin.
"We have actually arranged some places for all of you to visit. We will join you, but only at certain locations while you enjoy your freedom," said the female staff.
Everyone began to unpack their luggage on the floor and grabbed some swimwear in case they stopped by on their way back.
"Oh y/n, let me assist you," said the male staff. "Really? I can handle this bag, it's no trouble." "No, really. It's my responsibility as a staff member to carry bags, especially yours since you're with us and Taehyung. Don't worry, the female staff will take care of your 'lady matters.'"
They all went to the elevator while Taehyung and Jungkook raced down the stairs to see who would arrive first.
Their first stop was a museum, then some historical sites, and later to wrap up, they returned to the resort to swim in the pool.
"The water is cold," J-Hope said, shivering. "It's not even cold; it's just the right temperature. You exaggerate too much," Jungkook replied, dipping his right foot in the water. "I'm not exaggerating, or am I?" J-Hope asked, looking at Jungkook.
Jungkook fell completely into the pool. "Hey, who pushed me?" "Oops, sorry, I didn't see you there." "Y/n, oh, you're going to get it. Come here!"
Jungkook exclaimed as he climbed out of the pool and began to speed-walk after y/n. But while speed-walking, he slipped, and everyone burst into laughter. "Next time, don't speed-walk. Now you see why accidents happen," Namjoon said, offering Jungkook a hand.
Jungkook grabbed Namjoon's left hand to pull himself up from the floor and walked over to where Suga was resting on a chair.
"Aren't you going to join us in the water, Suga?" Jungkook asked as he took off his earrings before joining the others. "Water isn't for me. I don't enjoy being submerged; I prefer to stay dry, so I'll skip it," Suga replied, putting in his earphones to listen to an Eminem track.
Jungkook turned around, went underwater, and startled y/n from behind. "Boo!" "Ugh, kookie, don't do that!" "That's what you get for pushing me into the water." "Fair enough."
Jungkook began throwing water at y/n, who responded.
Taehyung, Namjoon, Jin, Jimin, and J-Hope watched what was going on, and they jumped in with extra energy to splash a lot of water on y/n.
"Hey, that's unfair. It's 6 against 1; that's not right," y/n said, trying to clear the water from her ears. "It was so much fun," Jimin chuckled. "Huh? What did you say, Jimin?" y/n asked. "I said it was so much fun." "What?" "I SAID IT WAS SO MUCH FUN." "AH, YOU SAID IT WAS SO MUCH FUN."
After getting the water out of her ears, y/n could finally hear clearly.
For about an hour, they enjoyed swimming and playing water games until it was time to return to their rooms. Each person went into their assigned room and took turns in the shower.
"It looks like the staff will be back really late," Taehyung said as he stepped out of the shower with a towel around his legs.
Y/n, shielding her eyes, responded, "Let them enjoy themselves for a while. They deserve to relax after all the hard work they've done for you all. I only came because Jin suggested I join as an extra," y/n said, picking up two extra towels, her clothes, and heading to the shower.
The first room was the first to fall asleep, followed by the second room. In the third room, it was a little awkward since only Taehyung and y/n were sharing a bed.
"Don't worry, I won't bite. If you're feeling uncomfortable, I can put a pillow in the middle so we can each have our own space," Taehyung said as he grabbed a pillow and placed it between them.
"It's not that I'm uncomfortable; it's just that this is my first time sharing a bed with someone other than Jin. Oops, that came out wrong," y/n said, staring at the ceiling and covering her mouth in embarrassment.
"You and Jin sleep in the same bed?" "It wasn't really a bed, just a sleeping bag from our childhood camping trip. Mine got ripped, so Jin let me use his. But I'm happy you don't snore. Sleeping next to Jin when he's snoring is really bothersome."
Y/n began to shut her eyes and faced the balcony, while Taehyung mirrored her action, adjusting the pillow he had placed in the center.
A week went by, and they got up early to catch a bus to Jusangjeolli Cliff, about 36 minutes away.
When they reached their destination, everyone was really impressed by what they saw. The staff monitored them closely since it was crowded this time of year, with many tourists visiting.
Y/n took Jin's hand, and led him inside a souvenir shop.
"Look, we can get this Dol Hareubang figure. I'll take the girl one, and you can pick the other one," y/n said, grabbing the figure. "Why do you want a Dol Hareubang?" Jin asked, holding the figure with a blue floatie. "I want to bring something back to show my parents and friends at home. Here, I'll cover the cost. It's my gift to you since I didn't get you anything for your birthday last year."
Y/n went to the register and paid, and they both left the souvenir shop to join the others.
The others got goods and small souvenirs as well. The staff instructed them to remain behind so they could arrive at the planned location. Namjoon, still heartbroken, began to gaze at a cliff from afar.
"That seems risky; if someone gets too close or is pushed, they might fall to their death," Namjoon thought, glancing at Jin before turning back, a cruel smile appearing on his face.
They arrived at a picnic spot surrounded by trees.
"Alright, we will have lunch here before you all can explore the cliff or nearby areas. We will be here if anything comes up," said the second female staff member.
The two male staff members began to set up plastic tables in front of everyone. The two female staff members, wearing plastic gloves, started serving lunch carefully. Everyone, including the staff, began to enjoy their meal while chatting with one another.
After finishing, y/n decided to walk off to take the food down. Jin noticed this and followed her because he also needed to bring the food down. They walked until they found a quiet place with a branch standing alone.
"Let's sit here. My legs are getting tired," Jin said, pointing to the branch. Jin and y/n walked over to the branch and sat down.
"Thank you for accepting my offer to come along on this trip." "No worries. I should be the one thanking you. Without you, I'd be stuck at home while my friends enjoy their vacations." "Weren't your parents planning a trip somewhere?" "They had a trip planned, but they canceled it a month ago. I'm not sure why, but it is what it is."
"Are you having a good time on the trip?" "Definitely. I've seen amazing sights and got a souvenir with my best friend. That's what fun is all about. How about you?" "It's great to have a weekend away from all the craziness at school and with our fandom. I do miss the ARMYs, but I really needed a break. I'm actually getting ready to release an album soon, which will add more stress. But like you mentioned, buying this Dol Hareubang with you made it even more special."
Jin and y/n exchanged glances before looking away. They continued their conversation until Jin made his move.
Back at the picnic spot, the group went off to explore, leaving Namjoon with the staff.
"Um, I'm going to find out where Jin and y/n went. I hope they're not too far from here," Namjoon said as he walked away from the picnic area. He wandered in circles until he noticed it was quiet. He paused, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. It was the first time he experienced such silence and tranquility.
He continued walking until he spotted two blurred figures in the distance. As he approached, they became clearer. That's when Namjoon saw something surprising. He witnessed Jin and y/n sharing a kiss before stepping back and blushing at one another.
"I can't believe this. Jin is a fucking traitor. Why did he kiss her?" Namjoon said angrily. He quickly changed his mood and walked towards them. "Hey guys, I came to get you two," he said with a forced cheerful tone. "Oh, you did? Look at the time; we should go back. I wonder if the other members are back yet," Jin replied, holding his Dol Hareubang in one hand and y/n's hand in the other.
Namjoon turned and walked back, with Jin and y/n following, each holding their Dol Hareubang figures.
They arrived at the picnic spot where the members had returned. The staff told them that before returning to the resort, they should check out the famous Jusangjeolli Cliff that everyone had mentioned. They collected their things and began to head there.
"You know, I was planning to wait until tomorrow to act on this idea I had after seeing the cliff from a distance hours ago, but since we are going there now, it's the perfect moment to be alone with Jin and y/n, and push Jin over the cliff," Namjoon thought, rubbing his hands together like a movie villain.
"Namjoon, where are you taking us?" Jin asked, feeling uneasy. "Don't worry, I'm bringing you to a great place if you and y/n want a nice picture for memories," Namjoon replied sarcastically. "I don't like this feeling, Joonie; let's go back. The waves are too rough today," y/n said, stepping back. "No way, today is perfect. Why are you so anxious? Are you afraid you might fall off this cliff because of the waves?" Namjoon nudged y/n forward.
Jin approached and took y/n's hand, asking Namjoon if he could snap a picture of them. Namjoon took y/n's phone and captured five different photos in various poses. After that, he returned the phone and changed his tone.
"You know, Jin, I never thought you'd be a traitor," Namjoon said ominously. "Traitor? What do you mean?" Jin asked, pushing y/n slightly to the side.
"I saw you and y/n kissing in that quiet spot on the branch. How could you betray me like this?" "Hold on, is this really what it's about? Me betraying you over just one kiss?" "Yes! Why would you kiss her?" "I kissed her because I'm truly in love with her. I've loved her since middle school, but I've never had the courage to tell her directly."
Y/n wanted to hug Jin, but Namjoon stopped her. Y/n stood there, observing everything; from the side, she noticed Jungkook watching everything unfold.
Y/n gestured for Jungkook to leave, but he kept approaching her.
Y/n turned and saw Namjoon doing something unimaginable. Jin was at the edge of the cliff when Namjoon rushed at him and pushed him. Jin fell hard into the water, where the waves crashed violently against each other.
Namjoon turned and walked away, spotting Jungkook without glancing back.
"Jungkook, call for help. I'm diving in to rescue Jin. Meet me at the bottom of the cliff," y/n shouted, sprinting and leaping off the edge. Jungkook hurried as fast as he could, reaching Namjoon, the other members, and the staff.
"Jin is in danger. Y/n jumped into the water to save him. Hurry! We're running out of time," Jungkook said, panting. The members followed Jungkook to search for y/n and Jin, while the staff called for an ambulance.
Namjoon stood silently, observing the situation unfold, as no one suspected anything.

Jin: Now you understand why y/n is my savior. You pushed me that day out of jealousy. You pushed me that day because you sought revenge. You pushed me that day because you wanted me gone.
Namjoon: I admit. What I did was right. I did push you that day due to the jealousy I felt towards you and y/n. I did push you that day because I wanted to get back at you. I did push you that day because I wanted you dead.
Jin: But here I am, still alive. I couldn't sing for months because of you. Y/n put her whole body on the line to bring me back to safety. She stayed with me in the ambulance. She was there for me out of guilt.
Namjoon: So, does she feel guilty for it being her fault?
(Namjoon turned to where y/n was, but she was gone. He looked back and found her standing in front of him with a metal bar in her hand.)
Y/n: You know what, Namjoon? The rumor you've been spreading for years about me supposedly pushing Jin off the cliff and nearly killing him, which everyone believed, is just disgusting. But I want you to understand this: no one is on your side now, are they?
(Namjoon looked at his phone to see the comments from fans. He turned back, but before he could say anything, Y/n knocked him out with the metal bar.)
(Y/n approached Jin to free him from the ropes.)
Y/n: Jin, you have to leave. Namjoon will wake up any moment now.
Jin: I'm not going anywhere. And don't worry, the other members are with me, and they're outside, ready for the secret signal.
Y/n: Jin, this is part of my revenge plan too. I want to be involved. He deserves to be punished. After the constant severe abuse that I went through, including him burning my arm, throwing things at me, and many more things you could think of. Please, Jin, I'm begging you.
Jin: But I don't want to lose you like I did at the hands of Namjoon; I can't. It took me so much courage to finally date you.
(Jin and y/n, unaware that Namjoon has woken up, see Namjoon grab y/n by the hair, separating her from Jin.)
Namjoon: Don't think you can escape from me. I'm not finished with you.
Y/n: Let me go, you psycho.
Namjoon: I forgot to give you a special present. Isn't this your Dol Hareubang from Jeju Island?
Y/n: That's my souvenir. Give it back!
Namjoon: Just say please, and I'll return it to you, but only if you agree to one condition.
Y/n: What condition is that?
Namjoon: I want a kiss.
Y/n: No.
(Namjoon rushed at her, seized her face, and attempted to kiss her against her will. Jin rose from the ground, took hold of Namjoon's shirt, and prepared to fight. Jin was repeatedly hit in his attractive face; he was too weak to figth back. Namjoon noticed this and quickly returned to grab the metal bar that y/n had just moments before. He positioned himself, ready to swing it. As he swung, Jin looked at him, but y/n stepped in front, taking the blow instead of him. Namjoon dropped the metal bar just as the other members burst through the door with the authorities. The members indicated for them to apprehend Namjoon before he escaped. They arrested him and placed him in the police car, confiscating his phone and ending the LIVE.)

Jin held y/n's bloody head and shouted for help. The others rushed to Jin's side and instructed him to clear a path for the ambulance team to transport y/n to the hospital. Jin made room but jumped into the ambulance to be with y/n.
"I hope y/n pulls through," Jimin said sadly.
