Chapter 6 - real danger

Hearing the siren, Jin concluded that the police were coming.

"Good."

Of course, this was good for them, but the person who said "good" was X

Everyone in the class looked at X.

"Are you surprised I said 'good'? You'll find out soon enough. Now everyone go and look through the windows, and nobody speak."

Then he picked up the walkie-talkie and said,

"We'll start in half an hour, so do that thing then."

Then a voice came through the walkie-talkie, replying,

"Okay, make it entertaining for the viewers."

Everyone in the classroom moved to the windows where they saw that their school had become like a fortress. There were many people wearing yellow bunny masks, carrying firearms, and taking cover either behind trucks or black walls.

There were people pulling more black walls from trucks; some were waiting near the gate, others were entering the school. Jin also noticed that the number of trucks had increased since the beginning.

The sound of the sirens was getting closer, prompting someone to approach the school entrance, grab the chain of nails placed to the right of the gate, and use the chain to secure the entire gate.

Then he stepped back, and silence fell, broken only by the sound of the alarm. Then Jin saw a police car entering the school.

'No.'

The car passed through the gate, puncturing its tires and making it difficult to control. Immediately after the tires were punctured, gunfire began directed at it.

Everyone's eyes widened, and some put their hands over their mouths to stop themselves from screaming after X ordered them not to speak because, after seeing this, they didn't know what might happen to them.

The police cars that were behind the car that entered stopped, but the police officers who were inside the car are presumed dead after this hail of bullets.

The men wearing rabbit masks stopped shooting and did not fire at cars that did not pass through the gate or at policemen who got out of their cars, but they took up positions there, ready for anything that might happen.

Things remained that way even after 20 minutes had passed outside the school. It became chaos; police, journalists, members of the public, and parents were all gathered there after hearing what had happened.

The matter became widespread, especially after some people witnessed the deaths of police officers.

X spoke after those 20 minutes.

"Now return to your places, everyone."

He raised his head to the screen in the row.

"You will now see a broadcast that will air throughout the city and the country."

They all raised their eyes to the screen, their faces pale. Now it was real; their lives were truly in danger.

Then the man with the black rabbit mask appeared on the screen, whose name was or was called A.

*************

Meanwhile, in the city center and on all the news broadcasts, everyone was talking about the latest event: a terrorist attack on Alpha High School.

Large screens in the city were displaying news about it, and people were watching it intently.

Where people were talking amongst themselves in the streets

"How could these scoundrels attack children?"

"Why haven't the police intervened yet? Do they want to see more dead bodies?"

"Are you stupid? If they intervene now, they might put the children in danger."

"So what will happen?"

"I don't know, I'm not a police officer, but anyone who has a son studying at that school is supposed to be in shock right now."

And then a figure appeared on all the screens and phones, wearing a black suit and a smiling black rabbit mask.

"What is this?"

"This is scary."

"Have I been hacked?"

"Look, it's on screens too."

A opened his arms in welcome.

"Hello, my dear viewers. You can call me A."

People were surprised.

"Does this show up on your phone too?"

"Is this a joke?"

A finished his statement:

"And I will be the presenter of the first death games."
