The night was silent, but Satomo's arm was not. The scar the keeper etched into his soul pulsed like a chained heart. Satomo woke up, lying down on the grassy ground gazing at the stars, hoping that all that happened was just a fragment of his imagination, but he can't shake this feeling that does thins he experienced wosin't a dream or a vision - it was real. He stood, his limping leg and grab his cloak.his stomach rumbled like thunder. his lips were dry like desert sand. his eyes narrow_like a man on the edge of death. Suddenly he heard calm voice. " you are not going to find anything to eat here. come with_ me if you still want to be alive." Satomo's eyes narrowed at the figure. his scar burned- has the figure stepped closer as if warning him. but Satomo ignore it. The figure stepped closer and closer, but Satomo couldn't see his face under his flowing dark hood. " follow me if you are really hungry." Satomo's scar pulsed again. but he didn't have any other choice, it was either stay and die or follow and live. The figure shouted " you coming or not either way it your choice." Satomo couldn't refuse. he moved his leg and followed him but the scar still burns uneasly. Satomo and the traveler sat by a camp fire, the flame grew hotter with each sticks he toss. The wind blew slow as the clouds disappeared Into darkness, the flame painted the tree gold, spikes flying in the dark sky. Satomo felt uneasy yet again, his eyes left the traveler. he wanted to speak but the sentence hang in his throat . The traveler noticed. " what a weird scar.?" Satomo looked at his arm the mark burned like fire beneath his skin as if warning him... but he shunned it. " no.. It's nothing just a pesky wound that is refusing to heal." Satomo looked away. The traveler replied. " you know? the most cleanest lake isn't the most drinkable it just looks clean on the surface just look beneath and you will see the truth." Satomo reply seriously." What is that supposed to meann.?" the traveler shrugged it of. " oh- it nothing just a little piece of advice." with the traveler gaze lock on the flame . Satomo looked at the gaze on the traveler Satomo felt for a moment... just a moment that the flame is getting warmer and warmer almost scorching like a unstable forest fire. but Satomo shrug it off once again. the traveler spoke with an friendly tone. " eat well the sun as already set and the moon will soon rise. so eat fast and sleep, tomorrow is going to be an very long day." Satomo laid down is back touched the green grass, his neck sinking into the earth. his eyes dimming as he fell asleep. The fire hissed softly as satomo drifted toward sleep. His scar pulsed once, twice, then went still. But even in his dreams, the call of the darkness followed. " chain unbroken. blood unbound. because I remember all." (TO BE CONTINUED)
