Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The encounter

Suddenly—

BANG!

The classroom door shook violently, the wood cracking under a heavy impact.

For a split second, everything froze.

Then—

BANG!

A second удар—stronger, louder. Splinters shot from the edges of the door, dust falling like ash.

Screams erupted across the room.

"What is that?!"

"Something's outside!"

Before anyone could react—

CRASH!

The door shattered completely.

Fragments of wood exploded inward as monstrous creatures forced their way into the classroom. Their forms were twisted—unnaturally large, with jagged limbs and glowing, hollow eyes that scanned the room like predators spotting prey.

The air turned suffocating.

Everyone panicked.

Some students screamed and ran back, crashing into desks. Others froze where they stood, unable to move, their fear rooting them in place.

Jeesuk didn't hesitate.

He rushed forward instantly, placing himself between the monsters and his classmates—especially the group near the door.

"Stay back!" he shouted, his voice sharp and commanding.

A monster lunged.

"Watch out—!"

Jeesuk swung his sword in one swift motion.

CLANG!

The blade struck the creature, sending sparks flying. The force pushed it back slightly, but it didn't fall. It growled, low and distorted.

More monsters poured in behind it.

Joel stepped forward beside Jeesuk, gripping his weapon tightly. "Guess we're really doing this, huh?"

Kyna and Liyana quickly joined them, their expressions tense but determined.

"I'm not staying back," Kyna said, tightening her grip.

"Me neither," Liyana added.

Together, they charged.

Steel clashed against claws. The room filled with chaotic noise—metal striking flesh, desks breaking, students shouting.

Meanwhile—

Yoorie stood still.

Right in the middle of it all.

Her heart pounded violently in her chest. Her fingers trembled slightly.

She was a mage.

A Level 999 mage.

But—

She didn't know what to do.

Her eyes darted around the room. Fighters were attacking. Healers were already at work.

She watched as Minnie raised her hands, a soft glow forming around them. Light spread from her palms, flowing into injured students.

The blue system panel floated in front of Minnie, guiding her movements.

"Follow the instructions… okay… like this…" Minnie whispered to herself, trying to stay calm.

Other healers did the same, restoring energy, keeping the fighters standing.

Everyone had something.

A role.

A direction.

Yoorie looked at her own system panel again.

Blank.

No skills.

No instructions.

No guidance.

It felt like being thrown into the ocean without knowing how to swim.

Her grip tightened.

The ruby wand in her hand felt warm—almost alive.

Her only weapon.

Her only answer.

Another scream cut through the air.

One of the monsters broke past the fighters, charging toward a group of students hiding in the corner.

"HELP—!"

Yoorie's breath hitched.

Her mind went blank—

Then focused.

Not on fear.

Not on confusion.

Just one thought.

Save them.

She raised her wand.

Her hands were shaking.

"I… I don't know how to do this…" she whispered.

But she swung it anyway.

A simple motion.

Driven by pure instinct.

For a second—

Nothing happened.

Then—

A sudden surge of energy burst from the wand.

Blinding.

Brilliant.

Golden light exploded outward, filling the room.

It didn't spread randomly—it focused.

Sharp.

Precise.

Like arrows.

The golden rays shot forward at incredible speed, piercing through the air and striking the monsters directly.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Each hit landed with force, pushing the creatures back. Some let out distorted cries as the light burned through them.

The entire classroom froze.

Even the fighters stopped for a second.

"What… was that?" Joel breathed.

Jeesuk turned.

His eyes locked onto Yoorie.

She stood there, her arm still extended, the wand glowing faintly in her grip.

Her chest rose and fell rapidly.

She looked just as shocked as everyone else.

But the light—

It hadn't disappeared.

It lingered around her, faint and golden, like something had just awakened.

Jeesuk's expression changed.

Not surprise.

Not confusion.

Something deeper.

Recognition.

"Yoorie…"

Another monster roared.

The moment shattered again.

"Focus!" Jeesuk snapped, turning back to the fight. "They're not done yet!"

But now—

Everything had changed.

Because the girl who didn't know what to do—

Had just attacked like a storm waiting to happen
