Dinner tonight. My place, 7pm. Bring yourself and nothing else.
Jae-min had read the message three times before showing it to Min-woo, and the two of them spent the better part of the afternoon turning it over from every angle, trying to decide what it actually meant.
"It could be good," Min-woo said, pacing the length of the apartment. "A step forward. A real invitation to try again."
"Or it could be the last dinner before he officially ends it. Closure, dressed up as hospitality." Jae-min dragged a hand through his hair. "I genuinely can't tell which. The message gives nothing away."
"We won't know until we're there."
"I know. That's the worst part."
They dressed with more care than either of them wanted to admit to, neither one willing to say out loud how much they wanted this to be the good version, and arrived at Jihan's apartment a few minutes before seven, both of them quiet in the elevator, bracing themselves without knowing exactly what for.
