Chapter 11 - c11

"So straight to the point. Why are you here Dante?" David asked in a serious tone once they settled down.

"Not even drinks brother?" He asked as he rested comfortably on the seat. No response came.

"To see the new ruler of the Madrigal empire." He stated as he tried to ignore the fact that no one was responding to him.

"He isn't home." David stated. Seconds later Dante's bodyguards walked in. They begun the search.

"Someone told me the boy is home. Well, I have some direct evidence that points him out as the murderer of my grandfather. If we find him his fate is sealed." He stated as he stood. The guards came back with nothing.

"If he isn't here today tomorrow is also a day." He stated as he and his squad walked out.

"Why did you have to be silent? I know he can hear you."

"He is the boy whose parents helped me."

"Him?"

"Yes. Remember on that day I told you I made the orphanage for a reason, it was for him." He stated then was silent. Two guards walked in. Nice blocked the sights of their spirits hence they couldn't see them.

"They are here and he is helping." He stated then was silent.

"Does the real him know he is helping us?"

"I don't know." Dylan sighed as he continued stroking his hair.

"Hey boy." A voice came amidst the dark environment. This time it wasn't sad or frightening. It was warm and with care.

"Vin." He looked up. It was his mom. The dark environment turned slowly to some garden. Flowers were blooming.

He turned and saw his dad. For the first time since he was a kid he saw them both smiling.

"Mom, Pa!" He shouted as he ran into her arms. Tears begun flowing in his eyes.

"He is about to wake up."Madrigal stated.

"But he is crying." He stated wiping his tears.

"You really like him don't you?" He didn't respond. Instead he stood and headed to the stool. Seconds later the boy was awake.

"Were you having a nightmare?" Dylan asked casually.

"To me that's normal. They have left. I'm leaving." He stated as he looked at where he was positioned. He was too certain he didn't just find himself there though he ignored the fact. After staring at the bedding for a while he stood and got out.

"How did he help you?" Dylan asked as he continued painting.

"A human being has three parts. The body soul and spirit. The body is the outer physical structure just as this paper and frame. A soul is the life part whole the spirit helps you in choices and motion but they have to work together to manage. Whatever the spirit says is what is to be done." Then the door was opened. Madrigal stopped speaking. David walked in to his father's painting. Once at an angle from there he saw his portrait. Nice.

"You really are into that boy."

"Maybe. It's the only portrait I can draw." He responded as he continued with the one he was at.

He slowly strawled down the staircase before the little girl walked to him and hugged him. Her green spirit was visible. The child was still innocent and full of love. He knelt down and held the girls shoulders.

"Hey baby." He stated as he stroked her hair.

"I'm not a baby." The girl responded with a little bit of arrogance.

"So what is your name?"

"Lily." She responded hurriedly as if life depended on it.

"So, lily may I ask you a question?" He stayed still stroking her hair.

"Yes good adult." She responded happily.

"My name is Nice. But you are an exception. Call me Vin okay." He stated as he stood still holding her hands.

"Why am I an exception?" She asked happily.

" Coz you are pretty. Let's go out for a walk." He stated as they begun walking. The others were in the dining area hence the compound was free. They sat at the handles as the kid begun jumping some.

"Thank you for saving my brother." She stated and sat by him.

"It's okay lily. To that, may I ask you a question?"

"Yes Vin." She responded. Her voice had a touch of joy.

"Does Dylan have a mental condition?" He asked. The statement seemed to have caught his heart for a while now and letting it off though through a kid, it was okay...maybe.

"No and Yes." She responded freely. She had trusted him.

"No as he is usually normal. And yes because it is heard that he speaks to Great grandfather through a portrait."

"Which portrait?"

"There is only one portrait of his in this house." She responded. In his mind he had the portrait he saw earlier plus the three spirits.

"Talking about me?" His voice came from behind. Nice blinked an eye at her and she was silent.

"No brother. I was asking him how he knew on Pipops presence." She responded. Then Mick called him.

"Bye Vin." The girl stated as Nice went off.

Now he knew it. Dylan's life was simple and lonely. Maybe work broke the monotony. Once inside everyone looked at him.

"What?" He asked with a slight laugh. Then he looked forth. David was there with his wife.

"Ooh" he stated shyly and walked forth. Then he stood in front of them all.

"How did you know of Pipops entry?" David asked directly.

"When there is exit of a spirit they come in multiples ready to take up where the other left off but if the area is occupied they head out train hard and come back ready to take up the spot. If the area is not well guarded it is likely to fall." Then he was silent. Everyone turned to the other except his buddies. They knew what he meant.

"Who is the spirit that left?"

"Feliz." He responded then headed to his seat. That is the much he wanted to let out.

"More information." David stated. He wanted to protect his home. His grandfather's empire. Nice was silent. He picked up the jug before him and added water to a glass before taking it wholly.
