In a small town, there was a very old school with a large library.
Students said the library was very haunted by a ghost who used to be a librarian named miss green she disappeared many years ago, and stronge things started happeneding in the library.
One evening, a student named Emily stayed late to study for a big test. She was alone in the library, surrounded by tall bookshelves, the clock struck midnight, and the school became very quiet.
As Emily read her book, She heard a soft thud. She looked up but saw nothing. She went back to reading, but then she heard it again-thud, thud, thud. It sounded like footsteps.
Emily's heart began to race.
She stood up and slowly walked through the aisles, her eyes scanning the dark corners. She saw a book fall off a shelf. Nervously, she picked it up and put it back. But then, more books started falling, one by one, as if someone was throwing them.
Suddenly, she felt a cold breeze. The lights flickered, and Emily saw a shadow move across the wall. She followed the shadow to the back of
the library, where there was an old, dusty reading room.
Inside the room, she saw a figure sitting at a table, it's back to her. The figure was wearing an old. Fashioned dress, just like the one miss green used to wear, Emily froze in fear. The figure slowly turned its head, revealing a pole,Ghostly face with empty eyes.
Emily wanted to scream but no sound came out. The ghost of miss green pointed to an old book on the table. Emily stepped and closer and saw that the book was a dairy. She opened it and saw the last entry, written on the day miss green disappeared. It said "I am trapped. Please help me find peace".
The ghost whispered,"Help me.
Emily, trembling, promised to help. She took the dairy and ran out of the library.
The next day, she showed the dairy to her teacher and they decided to hold a special ceremony to honor miss Green .
The strong events in the library stopped. Student no longer felt scared to study there.But sometimes, late at night, when the library was very quiet, you cloud still here, the soft thud of book falling, as if miss green was gently putting them back in there place.
One thing no body notice till now, that now Emily was missing....
