Chapter 10 - Chapter 10. The Best Way to Handle It.

Jokichi is not an ambitious person, he is not interested in power. Or rather, in this world where power reigns supreme, pursuing authority seemed like a very stupid thing to him. Therefore, he had no thoughts of unifying the ninja world, crowning himself king, or seeking hegemony.

But he met an accidental death in his past life, and shortly after being born in this life, he encountered the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack, where he was buried under ruins and almost died. Because of this, he wanted to control his own destiny and climb to the pinnacle of power.

He had never thought of becoming Hokage, nor had he ever thought of betraying Konoha; he even thought of helping Konoha move toward prosperity. After all, he was born in Konoha, and Konoha ninja had also saved his life during the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack. His subsequent life in the orphanage and his current living allowance could basically be considered a debt of upbringing.

Jokichi always repays his debts of gratitude and exacts revenge for his grudges.

His original expectation was to peacefully enter the Ninja Academy, systematically learn ninja-related knowledge, and then graduate to become a ninja. During his time at the academy, he would use his cheat to shine a bit, giving himself a persona of a hard-working genius to get the attention of the Konoha higher-ups and receive more resources. At the very least, they would assign a more capable teacher who could teach him Ninjutsu. Then, using his cheat and his knowledge of the plot's advantage, he would take off and reach the top, finally living a shameless and carefree life with the beautiful women he liked.

During this process, he would help Konoha move toward unprecedented prosperity.

But now, the plan was ruined.

These four Root ninja wanted to kill Jokichi here, so he had to fight back. With the Ring of Kurama and Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyo, Jokichi was equivalent to a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki who had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Although he knew very few Ninjutsu right now, and his physical strength was not enough to support the full chakra of the Nine-Tails, and his combat experience was absolutely zero. But it was enough to deal with a small squad of Root ninja.

Their composition was at most one Jonin and three elite Chunin. To deal with the current Jokichi, it would take a Jonin of Hatake Kakashi's level at the very least.

However, even if Jokichi killed them here and destroyed their corpses without a trace, his peaceful life would come to an end. Although he had not told anyone about his training at the 39th Training Ground, passing through the village streets every day to come and go, quite a few people knew he was training here. And with four Root elites going missing here, although he might not be suspected directly, he would definitely be called in for questioning.

If it were the Third Hokage's investigation, it would be fine; at most, it would be some interrogation. But Shimura Danzo...

He desperately wanted Uchiha Shisui's other eye, and he would use any means necessary to get information about it. By then, the truth of the matter and his own secrets would not be kept safe. After all, Root had members of the Yamanaka clan, and they could directly probe memories from the brain.

"Why do you have to force me?" Jokichi asked coldly. "Forcing me to kill you..."

The person who attacked him from behind had already flown out, slapped away by a giant hand formed from Nine-Tails' chakra. His weapon shattered inch by inch, and the person himself crashed into a large tree over ten meters away, vomiting blood uncontrollably.

The Root captain abruptly turned his head and saw all this, but only showed slight surprise before returning to his calm state. He reached out his right hand to Jokichi and said calmly, "A kid who has not even attended the Ninja Academy can actually use a Genjutsu that traps me in an illusion. This talent... it would be too much of a pity for you to die so early. Come with me to Root; only this way can your life be spared."

"?"

Jokichi's indifferent expression froze for a moment, and then he revealed a sneer. Did this guy not believe the facts he saw with his own eyes, or was he killed by his own empiricism?

"You say this is a Genjutsu?"

"Is there something wrong?"

The Root captain lectured with the tone of a senior: "Although this Genjutsu is very realistic, and it can be seen that your mastery of this Genjutsu is very high, the content of the Genjutsu is a failure."

"Oh?" Jokichi smiled playfully and asked, "Where is the failure?"

"Even if you do not know about Root, you should know about the Anbu!"

"Lord Hokage's direct subordinate unit, everyone in the village knows about it."

"Then do you know the full name of the Anbu?"

"Special Assassination and Tactical Squad."

"That is right, it is the Special Assassination and Tactical Squad." The Root captain nodded and said, "They are normally responsible for protecting the Hokage, as well as gathering intelligence and completing targeted assassinations."

"So what?"

"It seems your talent is limited to your body!" The Root captain pointed at his brain and said, "Since you know the Anbu handles intelligence work, we naturally know a lot of intelligence. Among them is the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and the Mangekyo Sharingan. The real Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is currently somewhere else in Konoha."

"Ah! Sorry, you probably do not know what a Jinchuriki is, just now..."

Halfway through his sentence, the Root captain realized something was wrong. Ordinary people should not know about Jinchuriki and the Mangekyo Sharingan at all. But this kid created such Genjutsu content, then...

Thinking carefully, it was terrifying. The Root captain raised his eyes to glance at Jokichi, and the other party was looking at him with a playful smile.

"Swish!"

The longsword on his back was quickly drawn and gripped in his hand. The other two members also drew their weapons and aimed them at Jokichi.

But the Root captain did not feel a sense of security at all. He felt his throat go a bit dry, and his body was trembling slightly.

"This, this is not a Genjutsu?"

The Root captain asked tentatively.

"It seems Root ninja are not that smart after all!" Jokichi smiled playfully, then snapped his fingers. "But you guessed right, this is not a Genjutsu."

"As a reward for guessing correctly, I will send you on your way!"

As his voice fell, the Nine-Tails' chakra split into three giant hands and dashed out fiercely, grabbing their necks in one fell swoop, and then lifting them high, making their legs leave the ground.

With their necks grabbed and feet off the ground.

The Root ninja could not breathe, much less exert any strength. One by one, their faces turned red and their necks bulged, their hands instinctively slapping at the giant Nine-Tails' chakra hands.

Originally, with their strength, they should not have had their vitals grabbed without any resistance like this. But precisely because they were Root, and clearly knew the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki was Uzumaki Naruto, they felt surprised by another Nine-Tails Jinchuriki possessing the Mangekyo Sharingan.

This impossible fact made the Root ninja, whose emotions were completely hidden deep in their hearts, feel surprised. Their calm hearts were shaken, revealing a flaw.

Now all Jokichi needed to do was apply force, and he could snap their necks.

However, even though Jokichi was very angry. This anger was not an anger that swallowed reason like a volcanic eruption, but an absolute reason that decided whether to be calm or flood the earth based solely on his own will.

What he was thinking about was not venting his anger, but the best way to handle it.

Killing these four would certainly vent his anger, but he would also have to flee Konoha. His peaceful life would be broken, his stable growth environment would be lost, and obtaining special materials would also become difficult.

Making it so that nothing ever happened here was the best choice.

Thinking of this, Jokichi controlled the giant hands to throw the three people against a large tree, and then the three hands merged into an even larger hand, pinning them firmly against the trunk.

Following that, another hand split off to grab the other Root member who was unable to stand up in the distance and restrained them all together.

"What exactly are you going to do?"

Root ninja had after all received training to eradicate their emotions. Even though the facts before their eyes were too absurd, they quickly regained their calm.

Although the Root captain was pinned against the large tree by the giant chakra hand, his gaze was very calm, making it impossible for people to tell what he was thinking.

"What am I going to do?"

Jokichi tilted his head slightly, then sneered coldly: "I get angry just mentioning it. To think I have to use the bug-like ability I just got on characters like you, it is truly detestable!"
