On the midnight, right when everyone fast asleep.
Not too far from the military base, within the forest right under the moonlight Ruth walked through the forest guided only by its light and his memories of that place.
Alone by himself.
After walking for quite a while, he finally stopped at the most hidden part in this forest which was not easily noticed by people.
In front of him was a half-body cave, covered by bush and thick vines that camouflage perfectly the entrance of this hidden cave.
He crouched down pushed the vines and went inside, pulling out the lantern to lighting it up the space.
This dark space began to lighten as he went deeper, while the cold air inside touch and passed upon his foot.
And once again he stop, this time he pointing the lantern toward the ground.
Nice, the body is still here.
Illuminate by his light, a body is lying on the ground as Ruth look at it longingly.
From a glance this creature looks like an exotic horse, it has a fair white skin from top to the bottom, yet it was hugely different as it has many distinct features.
On the head it has one white horn, two wings attached on its thighs, and the tail has scales and is shaped like a dragon head.
The first time Ruth find it, he can't be sure what this creature was.
Ruth put the lantern on top of a small boulder.
Took a sit beside the creature while gently stroking its body, the creature slowly open it eyes up looking at Ruth calmly as it know it was safe with him.
He then pull out a health potion from his bag.
"Sorry this is the only thing I can bring for now, next time I will try to bring more potent potions."
Began to help pouring it into the mouth of the creature.
After some time, the potions start to show it reaction and the creature belly more visibly moving giving it some energy, yet still not enough for it to move.
Seeing the potion effect works Ruth smile.
"You see, so today I make mistake."
He began to tell what he been through his day from what he did in the morning on the base, other training, then to the battle, especially about the battle. Telling the creature everything on his mind.
"I still don't understand what I should be doing differently."
He said while draws the exact battle position onto the cave wall with some of his calculation and its possible routes it could lead up.
While the creature eyes look warmth at him.
"It's like everything I've done always end up in losing outcome, there is no way to win it."
Ruth sit on small boulder, looks back at the creature, then to the ground. His eyes look empty.
"I've been on this place for three weeks, but everything I've done feels like a waste. And I've been living for this long yet I'm still don't know what's the purpose of all of this."
"Then out there Zaelough forces already...." he paused trying to find the right words.
Which only one word eventually form.
"Disgusting."
His voice comes out low with back tongue lump on his throat.
Silent fill the air for some time, before he was back thinking on his situation.
"If only I was as strong as that two, not this weak." small sigh that is pinched in his throat escapes by itself.
Listening to that, the creature gave a whimper as if it was a sign of disagreement, right after its body began to emitting a dim light.
"What happen? Are you okay?" Ruth come closer touching the creature body, a little panicked.
As he touch the light, so do Ruth own body feel lighter especially within his chest as it become spacious, his disorderly heartbeat start to calm. Then his mind silent still, shutting every noise and unnecessary thoughts.
The whole feeling invites him to close his eyes, which Ruth follow it.

It was night with a clear sky, a man stand on top of volcano mountain and next to him was this mythical creature stood tall and healthy, unlike its condition now.
The man was beyond handsome, most noticeable part was his face that full in serenity.
His beautiful eyes gaze down calmly, untroubled by what he looks at.
Down there millions of demon staring back at him, besieged from all directions, they shouted, cursing cheers and laugh hysterically mocking him. Their voices thunderous.
Many of their expression is simply arrogance, pleasure, and quick changing between different emotions. Glare that ready to rip apart every inch of his body.
The man command his mythical creature with a light pat at his body.
It answer with a soft low sound, then stomping the ground once with one of its leg.
With an invisible forces millions of the demon pushed in one direction, squeezed by walls of light.
In this moment their sound turned into a muffled helpless scream. Many of them tries to run away, as they got pit with each other, pressed into a long line.
The man point his arm forward, open up his palm as it began form an arrow made of light. Then he releasing it.
Shooting forward.
Evaporating them.
Leaving not a single demon alive.
Suddenly the sky was covered with thick clouds, it began to turn red, the ground shake violently. Lava from the volcano get sipped to its core emptying the mountain, only to overflow out of the ground.
Then from the lava appearing upward, a creature devilishly handsome gazing arrogantly toward the man.

Ruth then opened his eyes again.
"Is that your master? He really strong."
Ruth clearly amaze at the memory shown to him.
But looking at the creature again, he still couldn't understand much about this creature. "I still didn't understand what exactly are you?"
"Pegasus? Unicorn? Or maybe you are something else. Because you have too many difference than the other mythical creature the I've ever heard."
In Ruth's mind one thing for sure that this creature was definitely a mythical being.
"Legend says whoever kill such mythical creatures will inherited their magical properties. Is that true?"
The creature close it eyelids, listening to that.
"Don't worry I will never do that to you." Ruth said as he stroked the creature's body gently.
He went back to talk for some time, until finally it was time to for them to part away.
"I need to go now, I have morning training for the squad."
Ruth stood up, pick his lantern and walk away.
"Please be safe."
The creature replied to it with a soft groan, then he went out.

Outside the cave.
Ruth walked down the same path he had walked previously, away from the hidden cave.
Silence once again enveloped this forest, but only for a few moments.
A couple minutes after Ruth gone, from in between trees a pretty male comes out with a full armor and sword by his sides.
Man that looking elegant and beautiful, but not only that he is also a talented swordsman.
He's been hiding far enough from there, waiting and observing what Ruth been doing alone at the forest in this very late hour.
Jaimy stop his walk at the entrance, a hidden cave no one knew ever existed, and this is also his first time finding it here.
His eyes looks skeptical and suspicious, "Such a well hidden cave."
Then unsheathed his flame sword, as a light source.
"Let's see what you have in here."
With that he went inside.
