Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Alex's anger showed no sign of subsiding. He wasn't mad at the Ferrari driver or road rage itself — his fury was entirely directed at the system. His eyes burned with rage as he roared:

"You caused my tendons and ligaments to spasm when I was nine, nearly crippling all four of my limbs! Was that you?!"

Hearing the system mention the incident at age nine, everything suddenly clicked into place for Alex.

There had been several times in his life when intense training had almost left him permanently disabled. He had never understood why before. Now, he finally did.

"Bullshit! It wasn't me!" the system denied frantically, its electronic voice crackling with agitation in Alex's ear.

How could this be my fault? It's all because this damn host's body is too weak!

Do you have any idea how hard I've worked to make you stronger? You don't!

"At fifteen, when I used sonic equipment for internal and external Tiger-Leopard Thunder Sound marrow washing and blood refinement, you suddenly caused my blood to flow backward and nearly killed me!" Alex snarled, his voice cold, furious, and terrifying.

His shout was so loud that pedestrians in the distance hurried even farther away, thinking he was a lunatic yelling at thin air.

At fifteen, during the early stages of marrow cleansing and blood replacement, everything had been going smoothly. Then, without warning, his bodily functions suddenly accelerated. It felt like something else was controlling his blood, fighting him for dominance over his own body. The struggle had nearly left him paralyzed from the waist down. He had almost become a cripple.

"Bullshit! I was helping you refine your blood!" the system roared back angrily. "You're the useless one who couldn't control your own qi and blood, and now you blame me!"

I was trying to upgrade your body in one go, pushing you to the peak of human limits ahead of schedule. But you useless trash let your blood flow reverse into your brain and almost died from a cerebral hemorrhage!

If I hadn't begged heaven and prayed to every god I could think of to keep you alive, you would have died long ago!

Instead of thanking me, you dare yell at me?!

"At nineteen, when I was nourishing my five internal organs, you sped up the process and caused an imbalance, nearly making my kidneys atrophy!" Alex continued, his voice boiling with rage.

He ripped off his black motorcycle helmet and roared viciously beside the flowing traffic. People hiding behind billboards peeked out in fear.

At nineteen, he had been training from the outside in, focusing on his five vital organs. Everything was progressing normally until, without reason, the process suddenly accelerated. His organs fell into disharmony, and his kidneys suffered severe damage. He had almost become impotent and needed a full year of careful recovery before returning to normal at age twenty.

"I didn't do that! You're slandering the system!" the system shouted, sounding genuinely outraged.

This batch of host is complete garbage — utterly hopeless! At your original pace, you would have died in less than two years in the DC Universe, crushed by a building accidentally knocked over by Superman.

Yet you still dare question my actions? You dare get angry at me? I've never seen such a pathetic human! Everything is your fault, and you still push the blame onto the system! Trash host!

"And this morning as well — because of you, I couldn't unite my essence, energy, and spirit to break through the human limit and gain the ability to sense and control my body's magnetic field!"

Veins bulged on Alex's neck and spread across his face. His handsome, sharp features looked like a volcano on the verge of eruption.

If not for the system's interference, he should have broken past the human limit two years ago, while he was still in university.

Because of the system's meddling, he had been stuck at the peak of human limits until today.

"You… damn it!!"

Alex's rage was like a volcano ready to explode. His heart pounded wildly in his chest, and his blood vessels surged with furious heat.

He wanted nothing more than to tear this system apart.

"Why are you yelling so loudly?!" the system shouted back in dissatisfaction. It refused to admit any fault. This weak host brought it upon himself — he simply couldn't handle the power I tried to give him.

And he still dares to talk back to me this loudly?!

"If not for me, you would have died long ago!"

"You're pissing me off, you trash!"

"Fuck you!"

The system completely lost its composure, its so-called high and mighty system dignity crumbling to dust. There was nothing left of the cold, invincible system Alex had imagined.

Alex was now absolutely certain — this system was garbage. It couldn't even do basic telepathic communication, let alone grant abilities from anime, novels, or movies. All of that was pure bluffing. This thing just wanted to control him!

Furious and unyielding, Alex slammed the black helmet back onto his head, swung his leg over the Lightning motorcycle, and twisted the throttle hard.

The tires spun wildly. The exhaust roared as the high-tech motorcycle shot forward like an arrow. The cold wind cut against his body like knives.

Still seething with rage, Alex spat out a curse:

"Fuck you!"

The system was so angry it felt like it was about to explode. This trash host dares to curse at me? He clearly doesn't know how to spell "death"!

Immediately, its furious electronic voice roared nonstop in Alex's ear.

"Fuck you!" the system yelled.

"Fuck you!" Alex roared back.

"Fuck you!" the system cursed.

"Fuck you!" Alex replied.

"Fuck you!" the system screamed.

"Fuck you!" Alex shouted.

"Eat shit, Leung Fei-fan!" the system suddenly spat out.

After trading curses back and forth for a while, both sides unable to overpower the other, the system finally lost it and yelled "Eat shit, Leung Fei-fan!"

Alex's nostrils flared with pure rage.

Because his full name was Alex Leung. His legal English name was Alex Van Leung. And his Chinese name was Leung Fan — only one character different from "Leung Fei-fan."

"Trash system!" Alex growled through gritted teeth. Just wait until I find a way to drag you out of my body. I'll make you regret it for the rest of your existence!

Hearing Alex call it "trash," the system practically jumped with fury. The chaotic electronic noise in Alex's ear made him imagine that if the system had a physical form, it would be red-faced and hopping mad.

"I'm going to erase you!"

"Erase you!"

"I'm issuing a new task right now — you must lick The Flash's feet, or I will erase you!"

"Erase you!"

"I will erase you!"

"Get lost, you retard!" Alex said coldly. He lowered his body against the wind, completely ignoring the idiotic system, and sped toward the Central City Police Department on his Lightning motorcycle.
