"So... the 'Hiddens,' huh?" █████ repeats the name in their mouth, "... They did this or something?"
"Yeah! We don't know the reason for why they're doing this. But apparently some people speculated that they probably wanted to play god." Lanora added, "Come to think of it, I wonder where we'd have been if we didn't land here."
"Or they just want to relive their lives, maybe." Syle added, "They're just a bunch of cultists, that's what."
"... Huh." █████ looks back at the entrance of this room.
"Do you think Narrator is one?" █████ said, "They're wearing some sort of cult robe, bunch of red and symbols. And on his forehead too!"
"We asked him that before, but he outright denied it, saying the robe he got is from somewhere else and the symbols on his forehead are applied from another world. He does know something about the Hiddens, saying that they're 'a bunch of idiots who didn't think to filter anything.'" Dagus said, "Don't know what that means."
"Another world? Huh?" █████ sounds confused, "Moreover, he sounds suspicious. Denying that while wearing a robe doesn't make it any better."
"Glad I got a guy that agrees with me because you two don't listen sometimes." Syle said as he leaned forward a bit, putting both hands at rest on his knees. He looks at Dagus and Lanora, "Even so, I'm not sure how you'd get to another world here, no doors whatsoever, unless there are some weird steps you'd have to go through. Which there probably aren't any." Syle added.
"Hmm..." █████ hums... thinking... "He called this place the Saferoom, right?"
"If there are no exits, then it's no saferooms, dunno why he called it that. Seems to be more of a place where we can stay until we find our way out the Escape Room ways, without any hints at that!" Lanora said, "Strangely enough, I don't feel fatigue or hunger here."
"Yep, it's been a day since we got here." Dagus added, "It's good enough, I guess. Means that we don't have to worry about food... Now I'm thinking that the way people are getting here, based on the people I've seen, is because the portal is showing everywhere in deserted places, like an empty alley, abandoned buildings, and more."
"What about the cave then?" █████ said, "Are there more caves like that?"
"Pretty sure that's the only one where it all started, so I won't say it appeared there... More like it was made there." Syle added, "That's why the surges started."
"What a shame, I was gonna show Desty some new skateboard tricks." Lanora said, whining, "And now he's all alooone there without meee~..." Trailing her words off.
... Suddenly, █████ feels a buzz in their pocket.
"Huh?" █████ said, confused, they looked down at their pocket.
"... What the- Your phone works?" Lanora said, looking down at where █████ is grabbing.
"... I wasn't expecting that, hold on." █████ said as they pulled out the phone they brought from their pocket, "I thought it wouldn't work, let me see."
█████ turns on their phone, looking anywhere at the screen. They notice there's no signal, but there's a call coming from their phone, the text showing the numbers are... garbage texts? █████ thinks for a second before making their decision... █████ then swipes their phone to pick up the call, putting the phone up to their ear.
... But █████ suddenly pulls back, "Ugh, what?" █████ exclaimed, "It's just a bunch of garbage noises." █████ said as they hang up the call. "I mean... I wouldn't trust anything from a no-names." Lanora said, "Should've hung that up earlier~"
"Anyways, do you skate?" Lanora asked █████, eyes shining as she waited for their answer.
"I don't, I tend to fall off from it whenever I try." █████ answered, "But I remember using scooters when I was a kid. It's nothing special, but I traveled my neighborhood with it."
"I've skated for a long time with these 2 buddies. Including one more person, but he's not here because I don't plan on bringing him." Lanora said, "I expected investigating would be dangerous, and this is the outcome!" She said with a smile.
"If only this person named 'Syle' didn't get dragged into the portal." She said, looking to Syle at the side of her, "Then noooone of this would've happened."
"I just wanted to look." Syle said curtly.
"Yeah and your action got us trapped here!" Lanora said, "I cannot bear the thoughts of leaving Desty aloooonee~..." She trailed off her words again.
"Stop whining, gosh, you lovebirds." Syle said, as he heard her chuckles.
Lanora stretches herself as she adjusts her relaxing position, sitting straight up and then leaning to a wall with a knee up.
She looks behind her and let her fingers trail against the walls... And giving a slight punch.
"What do you await outside of this room?" Lanora said.
"Probably just a bright white light like we see from before." Syle said.
"You think so?" Lanora said.
While they talked back and forth, █████ turned to look at Dagus, wanting to talk with him.
"Is Centauri the same like our world there?" They asked.
"If you mean Earth, then... I believe so, there's some book about your place there." Dagus answered, "Earth is certainly like a direct parallel."
"Oh wow there is? I'm quite surprised." █████ said, "Wait but how do your people know about Earth?"
... Dagus went silent for some time. He seems to be thinking really hard, he tapped at his forehead repeatedly while pulling his head down a bit, as if doing that will make the cogs work harder.
"I... don't..." Dagus answered, "No- I mean, it's complicated."
"What?" █████ stares at him, confused, "How is knowing about Earth 'complicated'? Did you guys do some black magic stuff to gain knowledge?"
Dagus chuckled from that, "Hahah, no." He replied as he adjusted his glasses and ruffled his hair, "It's more that people from your place actually visited our planet."
"Wait, we did? There's no public information about that!" █████ said, lightened up, "No way that's a government secret. Having to reach a different planet in a different star is a big accomplishment, why did they not say anything?"
"They didn't say anything about the visit?" Dagus said, surprised, "Do you not know why?"
"Yeah, I think they probably intend to keep it a secret for some time... Never thought I'd hear something like this." █████ said, then thinks for a second... Why would they hide it?
