Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: At This Point, It Became Art!

An hour after the first Pattaya video was posted, Rahul's YouTube subscriber count officially smashed past the 1 Million mark.

The fans in the live comments section strongly requested that Rahul start an impromptu live stream to celebrate this historic, milestone moment.

But Rahul decided against it.

He wanted to wait until Kabir finished editing the full date sequence with Wannida and posted it. He knew that dropping that masterpiece before going live would ensure the hype was completely off the charts. The effect then would surely be much more explosive than doing it now.

Back in his dark bedroom in Mumbai, Kabir also knew exactly how important this specific video was to Rahul's rising empire.

That night, Kabir worked himself to the absolute bone. The empty Red Bull cans on his desk were so numerous they were spilling over, but he insisted on finishing the edit perfectly. It had to be said, Kabir was a true brother worth knowing, willing to give his all without complaint.

When Rahul woke up the next morning, Kabir had already sent the massive final cut directly to the shared drive.

At the same time, Kabir initiated a WhatsApp video call.

When Rahul answered and saw Kabir's bloodshot eyes, heavy dark circles, and exhausted expression, he felt a genuine tug of guilt in his chest.

"Kabir, bhai... don't push yourself so hard. You have to take care of your health."

Kabir rubbed his tired face and smiled nonchalantly. "Rahul Bhai, this level of intensity is nothing!"

"Back in college, I used to skip class to sit in the editing lab all night to finish our group projects, and then go take an exam the next day! I can handle a vlog!"

"Bhai, hurry up and watch the final cut. I'm telling you right now, this is my absolute masterpiece!"

"After editing this video, I actually feel like I need to go out and fall in love!"

"It's just so damn sweet!"

Rahul immediately opened his laptop and clicked on the proxy file Kabir had sent him.

"Kabir, go get some rest first! We can talk later!"

"It's fine, a few minutes won't kill me," Kabir said, rubbing his eyes. "I want to see your reaction."

Rahul hit play.

The first thing that met his eyes was a breathtaking, cinematic drone-like pan of the sea view from the balcony of the Hilton Hotel. Next, the footage rapidly cut to the chaotic, neon-lit night streets of Pattaya.

As a catchy, high-energy beat played, the video showed Rahul dodging the aggressive freelance girls under the coconut trees, capturing the raw, uncut glitz and absolute madness of the Pattaya Walking Street nightlife.

Then, the beat dropped, and the scene shifted abruptly. Rahul walked into the Airplane Night Market, and the gorgeous, high-definition footage of Wannida singing under the stage lights was revealed.

By using the chaotic Walking Street material as the opening hook, Kabir had brilliantly captured the audience's curiosity. The aggressive, sleazy nightlife came first, immediately followed by the pure, angelic Wannida singing a Love Song; the two environments formed a striking, massive contrast.

Under this direct comparison, Wannida's purity and sweetness were magnified a hundredfold. It was like watching someone claw their way out of hell and stumble directly into heaven.

It had to be said, Kabir had the raw talent of a mainstream Bollywood director.

Next was the dramatic encounter where the microphone hit Rahul, followed by the tense hospital scene where Wannida nervously apologized. The scene where her manager, Sister Pa, aggressively suggested forming a fake 'PR couple'—and Rahul's firm refusal to fake it—was also masterfully kept in the cut by Kabir, adding a layer of authentic documentary-style drama.

The next second, the music shifted to an upbeat, acoustic indie track. The scene cut sharply to Rahul grabbing Wannida's hand, pulling her out of the suffocating hotel lobby, and running happily down the sunny street.

The montage flowed perfectly: from riding the red scooter by the sea, to Wannida running barefoot and completely carefree on the pristine beach, laughing out loud into the wind.

In the video, Kabir beautifully highlighted Wannida's adorable, wide-eyed satisfaction when she ate spicy Indian Mutton for the first time. He captured her innocent, childlike curiosity as she held Rahul's hand and constantly asked him questions about his life.

Not only that, Kabir flawlessly edited the climax of the video: the magical scene at the seaside cafe where Rahul sang the soulful Bollywood ballad, followed by his acoustic piano cover while Wannida sang her heart out. It perfectly framed them as a talented, impossibly attractive couple—an absolute match made in heaven!

At the very end of the video, the audio faded out entirely. The only sound was the wind. The footage showed the speedboat pulling the parachute, taking Rahul and Wannida soaring high under the pink, cinematic sunset.

The scene of Wannida leaning her head against Rahul under the glow of the pink sky shifted into ultra-slow motion.

At this exact moment, the emotional BGM swelled; it was the acoustic track they had just performed together. The color grading, the framing, the music—the entire sequence was as beautiful as a masterpiece a veteran director had poured their heart and soul into.

Accompanied by the beautiful singing, Rahul and Wannida slowly descended toward the water, the camera capturing the exact moment their lips met against the backdrop of the setting sun.

The video faded to black.

At this point, the entire vlog had ceased to be a simple travel video. It had become pure art.

Rahul stared at the computer screen, his heart unable to calm down for a long time.

This video was edited simply too well! It had created a deep, visceral sense of awe in Rahul's chest. It was exactly like watching the climax of an award-winning romance movie.

Seeing that Rahul hadn't spoken a word after the video ended, Kabir felt a sudden wave of insecurity. He thought he had messed up the pacing or over-edited it.

"Rahul Bhai? Bhai, how is it? Is it too much?"

It wasn't until Kabir's nervous voice came through the phone speaker that Rahul snapped out of it.

"It's brilliant! It's an absolute masterpiece!" Rahul yelled excitedly.

"Kabir, you edited this so perfectly! When I post this, it is going to absolutely break the internet in India! It's going to go incredibly viral!"

"You go to sleep right now. I'm wiring you a massive bonus the second I get back to Mumbai!"

Hearing that Rahul was genuinely thrilled, the bone-deep exhaustion from fighting Premiere Pro all night was swept away from Kabir's face.

"Haha! Bhai, drinks are on you when you get back!"

"Definitely! I'll treat you to the most expensive meal in the city!"

After forcing Kabir to log off and go to sleep, Rahul hung up the video call.

He then immediately called Wannida's manager, Sister Pa.

Upon receiving the call, Sister Pa brought Wannida directly down to Rahul's suite.

"The final cut is already finished?" Sister Pa asked, walking in. She could hardly believe a massive, 20-minute multi-cam video was ready in just one night; she was deeply worried the production quality would be rushed and amateurish.

Seeing her distrustful, slightly condescending expression, Rahul didn't waste words. He immediately hit 'Play' on his laptop.

"Watch it first. Then we'll talk."

When Sister Pa finished watching the 20-minute video from beginning to end, her jaw was literally hanging open in shock!

Wannida was also so surprised by how beautiful and cinematic she looked in the video that her eyes were wide as saucers!

"My God... Mr. Rahul, is this really what you filmed yesterday?!" Sister Pa stammered.

"This... this is vastly superior to what our company's expensive, professional music video directors shoot!"

"The color grading, the narrative flow, the music synchronization! I genuinely cannot believe this was edited overnight!"

"God, Mr. Rahul, you have simply given me the shock of my career. The raw efficiency of your Indian production team is truly terrifying! I actually saw high-level artistic cinema in a YouTube vlog! It's more engaging than our TV dramas!"

At this time, Wannida—completely ignoring her strict manager's presence—grabbed Rahul's arm and said excitedly:

"Rahul! You made me look so beautiful!"

"It really looks like we starred in a romance movie!"

Looking at the two women's shocked, excited reactions, the image of Kabir's exhausted, bloodshot eyes reappeared in Rahul's mind. He made a silent promise: he was going to give the entire 500,000 Thai Baht (₹11.5 Lakhs) agency payout for this video directly to Kabir as a bonus. Rahul firmly believed that if someone shed blood and sweat for the empire, they must be rewarded heavily!

"It's mainly because my Head of Production back in Mumbai is an absolute genius," Rahul replied modestly.

"No! It's because you directed and filmed it so well!" Wannida insisted, looking up at Rahul with eyes completely full of admiration. "It's a good thing you didn't listen to Sister Pa and force us to use a script! Otherwise, we would never have captured such raw emotion!"

Hearing this, Sister Pa's face turned very awkward, and she somewhat sheepishly bowed her head in apology to Rahul.

"Mr. Rahul, it was my arrogance before; I completely failed to recognize your massive capability. I apologize to you right now and hope you can forgive my rudeness. I'm going to apply to corporate for that 500,000 Baht payment to be wired to you immediately."

"Please, post the video on your Indian platforms right now."

Rahul waved his hand dismissively at Sister Pa and walked back to the computer.

He hit 'Publish'.

Sister Pa and Wannida practically held their breath, staring nervously at Rahul's real-time YouTube analytics dashboard.

The heat and algorithm push from the video Rahul had posted yesterday hadn't dissipated yet. Posting another masterpiece today caused the algorithm to explode instantly!

Although Sister Pa and Wannida couldn't read the Hindi comments flooding the screen, they could understand the raw numbers ticking upward like a slot machine.

Watching the concurrent view count soar past 100,000 in minutes, Sister Pa's already excited heart skipped a beat. It quickly upgraded to sheer, unadulterated corporate ecstasy!

She whipped out her phone and immediately called the Senior Project Manager at SGE Entertainment Headquarters.

"Boss! The vlog our Wannida just filmed has gone nuclear on the Indian internet!"
