Chapter 28 - the storm of broken love

Mohan slammed the door so hard in anger that the whole house trembled… and the last hope in Radha's eyes shattered.

Radha stood silently in the corner of the room… but her silence was more dangerous than any storm.

Mohan shouted, "From today, don't expect anything from me!"

For the first time, Radha raised her head… there were no tears in her eyes, only fire.

She said softly, "I gave up hope the day you changed."

Mohan's steps froze… this was the same Radha who used to cry over everything… how had she become so strong today?

Even the walls of the house seemed to shake hearing their fight… but the real cracks had formed in their hearts.

Radha opened the cupboard… took out her suitcase… and started packing her things.

Mohan laughed, "You'll come back in two hours… you can't go anywhere."

Without looking back, Radha replied, "Today I'm not leaving… today I'm going to take myself back."

The color drained from Mohan's face… for the first time, he felt fear… what if she really left?

Radha reached the door… then suddenly stopped.

Mohan's breath paused… would she stay back?

Radha turned and said, "Remember one thing, Mohan… a broken woman may return… but she never returns the same."

After saying that, she walked away… and Mohan was left alone in the empty house.

Everything was still there… except Radha.

The cup of tea on the table… had gone cold.

Her fragrance in the kitchen… had now become a memory.

For the first time, Mohan cried… because he had won the fight… but Radha had won by losing.

But the real shock came when he found a letter under the pillow…

It had only one line written on it—

When you learn to value love… don't come looking for me.Three months passed… but Mohan's house still felt empty.

Every morning, he woke up hoping to hear Radha's voice from the kitchen… but only silence answered him.

The walls that once echoed with arguments now carried the weight of loneliness.

Mohan had everything… yet he had nothing.

One evening, while cleaning the room, he found Radha's old scarf hidden behind the bed.

The fragrance was faint… but the memories were sharp.

For the first time, Mohan fell to his knees and cried like a child.

He whispered, "Radha… I was wrong."

But apologies spoken to empty rooms never reach broken hearts.

That same night, Mohan decided to find her.

He searched every street, every relative's house, every place she loved… but Radha was nowhere.

Days turned into weeks… and hope slowly began to die.

Then one rainy afternoon, Mohan saw a familiar face across the market road.

His heartbeat stopped.

It was Radha.

But she was different now.

She wore confidence like jewelry… and the sadness in her eyes had been replaced with peace.

Mohan rushed toward her.

"Radha… please listen to me once."

She turned calmly… no anger, no tears… only distance.

"What is left to hear, Mohan?" she asked.

Mohan's voice trembled.

"I lost everything after you left."

Radha smiled faintly.

"No, Mohan… you lost everything the day you stopped valuing it."

Her words struck harder than any slap.

Mohan folded his hands.

"Give me one chance… I'll change."

Radha looked at him for a long moment… then stepped aside.

Standing behind her… was a little girl holding Radha's hand.

Mohan froze.

The girl looked exactly like him.

His lips shook.

"Radha… who is she?"

Radha's eyes filled for the first time.

She said softly…

"The truth you never stayed long enough to know."

Mohan's world shattered again… because the biggest secret of his life had just appeared in front of him.**
