Time passed!
During this period, it seemed that everyone was exceptionally busy.
Utaha and Asia went to the Occult Research Club every day for practical training.
Rias was working behind the scenes to finalize that Rating Game.
Only Ayato spent most of his time at home.
But his strength was changing dramatically with every passing moment.
[Mori Ayato]
[Class: Origin Magician]
[Magic: Origin Lightning Magic LV15 (+)]
[Origin: 13 points]
"The magic books Rias gave me have improved my strength quite a bit."
Looking at the text on the virtual panel, Ayato murmured to himself. "But I'll need to find another way to get Origin Points from now on."
He had basically finished reading all the rare books from the Gremory Family.
Fortunately,
In this mashup of a world, if one was determined, there was no shortage of different supernatural knowledge to be found.
"Oh!"
Just as Ayato was pondering, he suddenly sensed something and let out a soft exclamation.
A familiar yet unfamiliar summoning echoed in the depths of his soul.
"It worked?"
Ayato's eyes flickered.
This wasn't an ordinary summoning.
It was a summoning contract he had created a few days ago based on that Otherworld Devil Summoning Technique.
He had tried it out with a hopeful attitude.
Now it seemed that Origin Magic power could indeed withstand the power of the world's cracks.
And his luck was indeed quite good.
"I wonder... what world is this?"
...
A primeval forest.
Dried branches were continuously crushed underfoot.
Akame and Leone walked side by side through the forest.
Suddenly,
Akame's gaze sharpened, as if sensing something. She shifted her body, and her long sword was instantly drawn.
Squelch!
A sharp flash of light came and went. Foul-smelling blood sprayed into the air.
The two women each stepped back to avoid the falling blood.
Thump!
A supernatural creature resembling a wild boar fell to the ground.
"This should be enough for everyone."
Akame lifted the massive boar, her eyes shining slightly.
With such good ingredients, how should she cook them?
"Since we've caught food, let's head back. Glug glug glug..."
Leone took a swig of alcohol, her face flushing slightly.
"Mm-hmm!"
Akame nodded contentedly, hoisted the giant boar, and leaped through the forest with Leone.
Soon,
The two returned to the base.
As smoke rose from the cooking fire, a delightful aroma filled the dining hall.
"It smells so good!"
Najenda walked over. "Akame, your cooking is getting better and better."
"Boss!"
Akame greeted her, then brought over a large portion of food and slammed it onto the table with a thump.
"Let's eat!"
Leone took a big gulp of alcohol and began to gorge herself.
"Drink less."
Najenda said helplessly. "We could get a mission at any time."
"Boss, is it really okay for us in Night Raid to only have three people?"
Leone grumbled. "At this rate, we'll work ourselves to death."
"There's nothing we can do. Imperial Arm users are too rare."
Najenda cut some meat and replied, "I've successfully invited two more people. I believe they'll arrive soon."
Akame suddenly said, "Can we really change this country by doing this?"
There was a hint of confusion in her voice.
What they were doing now...
...seemed no different from when she was in the Empire's Assassination Corps.
'Was this really right?'
Najenda said firmly, "Don't be confused, Akame. If we do nothing, how can we move forward?"
"Hehe, I have an idea."
Leone burped, then fumbled in her pocket and pulled out a flyer made of unknown material.
"I got this from my last mission. It's said to be able to summon a Devil."
She looked at the two with slightly drunken eyes. "Maybe the Devil will give us an answer."
"..." Akame.
"..." Najenda.
'Sure enough, she's starting to talk nonsense after drinking too much.'
'How could Devils possibly exist?'
"What, you don't believe me?"
Leone got anxious. "I tell you, this thing is definitely not ordinary. Even with my strength, I couldn't tear it apart."
Hearing this, Najenda and the other woman were taken aback.
They knew Leone's strength well.
If even she couldn't damage it, there might indeed be something to it.
'Could it be some kind of Imperial Arm?'
Acting on impulse, Akame took the flyer.
It had a delicate magic circle on it, along with a deliberately circled section of text.
Although she didn't recognize the script, Akame strangely understood the meaning.
"Grant... my wish?"
Murmuring softly, Akame said instinctively, "Then grant it."
The moment the words fell, a strange magic circle bloomed from the flyer.
'What?'
The pupils of Akame and the other two contracted, and they assumed combat stances.
"So, you are my contractor?"
A voice rang out, and under the watchful eyes of the three, Ayato stepped gracefully out of the magic circle.
"Who exactly are you?"
Najenda stared at Ayato. "Stop pretending to be a ghost."
As the leader, she was used to thinking in terms of conspiracies.
"No need for such hostility. You summoned me."
Ayato shook his head, and large wings extended from his back.
"A real Devil?"
Leone's pupils contracted.
She broke out in a cold sweat, instantly sobering up most of the way.
She seemed to have caused a big problem.
"Hello, Devil-sama."
Akame greeted him politely.
"Hello."
Ayato smiled slightly, his eyes flickering.
The moment he saw the three, he knew which world he had come to.
This world wasn't dangerous for him.
And it had quite a few good things.
Besides supernatural knowledge, the Imperial Arms weren't bad either.
He could study them to see if he could quickly enhance the strength of his two servants.
Also, this world might yield some good new servants.
"Akame."
Looking at Akame, Ayato said, "State your wish."
Akame tilted her head and asked curiously, "Do you know me?"
"I am a Devil, so I naturally know many things."
Najenda, standing nearby, was gradually accepting reality.
'It seemed Devils really did exist in this world.'
Watching the two converse, the corner of Najenda's mouth twitched.
'Was it just me, or was this typical of Akame?'
'Being able to converse so naturally with a Devil?'
