"Who am I to your brother huh." Reina said, looking at Ishihara with a smile. "What?" Ishihara asked with confusion. She just stares at him without answering and it angers Mari. "How about you answer the question?" Mari demanded, slamming her hand on the table. "Hey, let's calm down. Right Reina, eeh!" Ishihara said, looking at Reina's face. Her face had the same look as Mari's expression. "I totally agree, wouldn't you agree?" Reina asked Mari. The tension in the room was almost intoxicating, and Ishihara was in the middle of this. "I agree, then how about you answer my question, hmm?" Mari asked back, keeping up the same look as before. "Hey girls, how about we calm down?" Ishihara said, before getting immediately shut down. "Shut up, this doesn't concern you." The two girls said. Ishihara sank down in his seat and just kept watching the girls grab at each other's throats.
"Well then, how about you answer my first question?" Mari asked, looking at her with glaring eyes. "Fine, I am his classmate at Sakura High and we do not know each other well." Reina answered, her demeanor immediately becoming tired. "Aah, I see then. So why are you here?" Mari questioned again, her demeanor suddenly becoming calm. The whole atmosphere of the room shifted, Ishihara was confused at this. "Huh, weren't you two grabbing at each other's throats?" Ishihara asked, scratching his head. The girls looked at him with confused faces. "What made you think that?" Reina asked. "Yeah what do you mean?" Mari added. Ishihara was dumbfounded, how did the atmosphere change from intense, to peaceful. "How the hell?" Ishihara thought.
The Nao siblings started to eat their lunch, Reina at the table hesitated. "Why don't you eat? It's gonna be cold if you don't eat now." Ishihara said. She starts to eat the tamago first, then sipping the miso soup. "How is it? I don't really have other people to rate my cooking." Mari said, holding up her tamago. "It's somewhat good. The tamago is a bit flavorless though, maybe add a bit more salt or add sugar." Reina criticized. "Right I'll take that to mind then, thank you." Mari said. "May I ask you about something?" Ishihara asked. What is it?" Reina replied. "Well I'm wondering, why are you here? You aren't just doing this for a favor, right?" Ishihara questioned. Upon hearing this question, she starts to smile and stare at him. This behavior threw Ishihara off. Mari upon seeing this went back to her blood thirsty phase. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Ishihara asked, clearly nervous from this. "Yeah, why are you?" Mari said in an ominous tone. Reina starts to giggle and gets up. "Huh?" The two siblings said in sync.
Reina goes and grabs the box from the table. "Here, a gift from the girls and me." Reina said, giving him the box. "What's in it?" Ishihara asked Reina. "Open it and see." Reina said. Mari comes behind Ishihara and peeks over his shoulder. He opened the box and inside was an angel food cake, a fluffy cake with whipped cream spread on top and berries decorated on top. "Isn't that famous cake from that patissier shop?" Mari asks. "You sure know your stuff, huh." Reina answered. Ishihara looks at the cake with shock, this cake was sold at the highest rated patissier shop. The cake was sold out before the afternoon, not just that, but it cost a lot to even buy it. "How did you buy this? This cake is rare and expensive to even get." Ishihara said, putting the cake down in front of him. "Why don't you just take and don't sweat over the small stuff." Reina said, putting her finger on his lips. Mari right behind him looks at her with hostility and Reina thought of her as an overprotective cat. "Well then, I'm off." Reina said, walking to the door. "You aren't going to eat the cake with us?" Ishihara asked. "Nope, see you tomorrow." Reina said, winking at Ishihara.
Ishihara and Mari waves her off and she puts her shoes on and leaves. They both look at each other and they smile. "So can we eat the cake now?" Mari asked. Ishihara nods and goes to the kitchen to grab some plates and a knife. "you may have the honor." Ishihara said, kneeling and showing her the knife. "Thank you my knight, I gracefully accept." Mari said, picking up the knife. She prepares the knife and cuts the angel food cake into eight equal pieces. "Wait, shouldn't we finish lunch?" Mari asked, putting down the knife on the box. "You're not wrong, let's eat first then eat the cake." Ishihara said. They both go back to their seats to finish their food. Ishihara takes a small glance at the place Reina was sitting. "She didn't finish her food." Ishihara thought in his head. They finish their food and Ishihara picks up Reina's food and Mari puts their dishes away.
"Hey, what should we do with the food she didn't finish?" Ishihara asked, looking at Mari in the kitchen. "Throw it away, or do you wanna eat it?" Mari answered, starting to clean the dirty dishes. He looks at the unfinished food and starts to have second thoughts. "This touched her mouth. No! I can't think like that: just imagine that your sister hasn't finished her food." Ishihara thought to himself. He shakes his head and Mari seeing this was confused. "What are you doing?" Mari questioned. "O-oh, nothing." Ishihara said in a panic. Mari looks at him with pity. "Really?" Mari said with a teasing smirk. "Yes I'm sure… and don't look at me with that pitying look!" Ishihara yelled. "I'm joking. I'm also done with dishes, so please help." Mari said with a smile. "All right Mari." Ishihara said, going over to help her. He helps her out with the dishes and they forget to eat the cake after. They sat on the couch and it was almost time to sleep. "It's gonna be nine o'clock in three minutes." Mari said, getting up from the couch.
"Right… we forgot to eat the cake." Ishihara said in realization. "OH, you're right." Mari said, also realizing. They both stare at each other and they both sigh. "We can always eat it tomorrow. For now we should go to sleep." Ishihara said, walking up to his room. Mari follows after him and goes into her room. Ishihara in his room, puts the papers he got from Reina and puts them on his desk. He turns on the desk lamp and sits down. "Great all this work in one day." Ishihara said, sighing and rummaging through the papers. He sorts through them, most were English, some were algebra, some were biology, and lastly was French. "All right then, first the English work. Then the rest afterwards." Ishihara said, before working on the English work. For the entire night he ends up finishing the work he missed, at the cost of his sleep. Right when he finishes he dozed off.
The next morning, he wakes up late for school. "Hey, wake up." Mari said, poking his cheek. "Hmm… let me sleep for five more minutes mom." Ishihara said with drowsiness. Mari slaps him on his head and wakes up shocked. "Wha-what was that for?" Ishihara yelled, touching his head. "It's seven-thirty, you're late. Now get up." Mari said, pulling the chair back. "Agh! I'm going I'm going!" Ishihara said, getting up immediately. He goes to his drawer and grabs his school uniform. His school uniform had green and black as the color scheme with normal jeans. Mari watches him as he hurries into the bathroom to shower. "This idiot." Mari thought in her head. "Well then," Mari said, "time to make him something before going to school." Mari leaves his room and goes to the kitchen. She grabs strawberry jam and some bread. She gets a toaster from the cabinet. She puts the bread in the toaster and toasts it, at the same time Ishihara is done showering. "Hey big… broth- nice body." Mari said, astonished. Ishihara was still drying himself and was naked at his upper half.
"Thanks, is that the food I'm eating?" Ishihara asked, putting on his shirt. "Yeah it is." Mari said, her face red. She immediately abandons the impure thoughts she has and focuses on making his food. She grabs the toast and a knife and spreads jam over it. "What time is it?" Ishihara asked, done dressing up for school. "It's nine twenty." Mari asked. Ishihara goes to put on his shoes and Mari goes behind him. "Here is your bento and breakfast." Mari said, giving him the food. "Thank sis." Ishihara said, patting her head. He takes the bento and puts it in his bag and the toast in his mouth. "Remember to get my mochi big brother." Mari recalled, smiling. "Mm-hmm!" Ishihara mumbled, giving a thumbs up. "When did she have time to make a bento?" Ishihara questioned in his head. He opens and runs out the house, Mari goes and waves him off. She goes back into the house and mumbles something. Ishihara is running and panting, he just finished his food and saw the time. It was almost the second period, his reading period was next. He runs until he hears gears behind him. He looks back and sees Haruko on a bike pedaling right behind him.
"Hey are you late too?" Haruko asked, stopping right next to him. "Yeah I woke up too late, how about you?" Ishihara asked back, catching his breath. "I stayed up too late for the test." Haruko answered. She said this with a slight unease in her voice. "You got to be kidding me." Ishihara said in disbelief. His disbelief soon turned into fear as he started to panic. "What do I do? What should I do?" Ishihara yelled frantically. "Calm down, here hop on." Haruko offered. Ishihara takes a breath and calms down. "Thank, thank you." Ishihara said, taking her offer. She starts to pedal and both start to ride to school. "I didn't know we both go to the same school." Ishihara said, realizing that they both go to the same school. "Wait… you never heard of us at the school?" Haruko questioned with shock. "No… should I?" Ishihara answered with confusion. She sighs and then mumbles something under her breath. "What was that?" Ishihara asked. "Nothing." Haruko said, giving a small smile. They both arrive at school and immediately they both walk towards the entrance. "See you later." Haruko said, going to put her bike away.
He goes in and puts on his indoor shoes. He walked quickly to his second period and he was right on time. The bell rang just after he got in the room. "Hey, nice to see you're doing fine." A boy said. "Thanks Ren." Ishihara thanked. Ren was a small stature boy with white and pink hair. His almost female looks make a lot of people mistake him as a small female. One time he almost got molested by an old man, but he backed away when he found that Ren was a boy. "You look terrible. Did no one tell you?" Ren said. "What do you mean?" Ishihara asked. Ren gives him a compact mirror and Ishihara looks at himself. His eyes had dark circles under his eyes. "See what I mean." Ren said, sighing with his hand on his face. "I don't feel tired though?" Ishihara said in confusion. "Hey girls I'm… here?" Haruko said, clearly confused.
"Haruko?" Ishihara said in confusion. "Ishihara?" Haruko said in the same amount of confusion. They both look at each other with confusion. Ren seeing this was more confused than the both of them. "Ishihara, how do you know her?" Ren whispered in his ear. Their classmates started to gossip and talk among themselves. The whole situation was getting out of hand, that was when Yumi came and hugged Haruko. "Hey you're here! I thought you were gone!" Yumi said, lighting up the atmosphere in an instant. Reina and Saya soon come in after and sees the scene. "Hey Ishihara." Reina said, waving her hand. "Bonjour Ishi." Saya greeted Ishihara. "Why hello there you two and Ishi?" Ishihara greeted him. "I thought Ishihara was too long so I'm gonna call you Ishi, okay." Saya answered. "All right then, how are you two?" Ishihara asked the two girls. "We're fine. We just thought Haruko wasn't coming or something." Reina answered. "Yeah. I thought you caught a cold or something, I was scared!" Yumi added, clinging on to Haruko harder. She pats her on the head while the group watches. "They're cute." Ishihara, Reina, Saya thought.
"Like I asked before, how do you know them?" Ren questioned again. "What did you mean?" Ishihara said in confusion. The group and even their classmates look at him with bewilderment. "What do you mean?" Ren yelled, grabbing him by the collar. "I don't understand?" Ishihara yelled in panic. Reina and Haruko were having a private conversation and soon started to ask questions. "Do you truly don't know who we are?" Reina asked. Ishihara shook his head and the group sighs. "Does he truly don't know who they are?" A female classmate said. "Yeah he must be a special kind of stupid." A male classmate added. "Yeah he must be." Another female classmate added. The whole classroom became tense and Ren let go of Ishihara's collar. "Why? Why? Why? Why is this happening?" Ishihara yelled in his head. He began to panic and Ren seeing this brought him out of the classroom.
"Ishihara breathe, do you hear me? Ishihara!" Ren said, shaking him from his shoulders. "I hear you." Ishihara answered, taking deep breaths. "Hey are you okay?" Reina asked, popping out the doorway. "He will be after a short while." Ren answered. "What are kids doing?" A female asked. Their teacher comes over to see what's wrong. "What happened?" Their teacher asked. "Hey Ms. Saito. Ishihara had another panic attack." Ren answered, calming Ishihara down. "I see. Bring him to the infirmary." Ms. Saito said. "All right, you hear that?" Ren asked, seeing if Ishihara was still panicking. He nodded and even though he was still shaking, he got up with no problems. "Here, lean on my shoulder. I will be back after a bit, okay." Ren said, taking Ishihara to the infirmary. "You. I want to know what happened. Tell me after class." Ms. Saito demanded. "Yes ma'am." Reina said, bowing before going back into the classroom.
The class was still talking about what happened, Haruko, Saya, and Yumi were talking about Ishihara. "Did he have a panic attack or something?" Yumi asked. "Well it did seem like it." Haruko answered. "J'espère qu'il va bien." Saya said. "Hey girls." Reina greeted, walking over to the girls. "Reina!" The girls said with worry. "How's Ishihara, I feel like I caused whatever just happened." Haruko asked, feeling guilty. "He's all right, so don't worry." Ms. Saito said, walking behind Reina. "Ms. Saito!" The girls yelled. "Yep, hehe." Reina said awkwardly. "All right everyone, take a seat. Time to start today's lesson." Ms. Saito said. The students go to their seats and sit down. While that is happening, Ishihara is in a bed with Ren next to him.
"The nurse isn't here, but you'll be fine right?" Ren asked. "I'll be fine, I'll just lay here for a while." Ishihara said, reassuring Ren. Ren leaves and Ishihara is laying there staring at the ceiling. "I knew I said I'm fine, but why do I still have that pain in my heart?" Ishihara said, touching his chest. He lays there wondering until a boy comes into the infirmary. "Hello?" The boy asked. The boy was looking around and saw Ishihara lying in bed. "Hey, is the nurse here?" The boy asked. Ishihara shook his head and the boy put his hand on his head. "Damn, my nose is bleeding and this happens." The boy said in frustration. "Hey." Ishihara said. "Hmm?" The boy replied. He sees Ishihara pointing to the cabinets. "They're in the cabinet on top to the left." Ishihara said. The boy looks through where he said it was and there it was, it was next to bandages and disinfectant. "Thanks dude." The boy thanked Ishihara. "You're welcome." Ishihara said. Hey, my name is Sota Aoki. Nice to meet you." Sota introduced himself.
"Ishihara Nao. Nice to meet you too." Ishihara said with a small smile. "Why are you here?" Sota asked. Before Ishihara can answer, Reina comes into the infirmary. "Hey Ishihara, are you here?" Reina asked. She sees Sota, and Ishihara in the infirmary bed. "Hey Ishihara are you ok?" Reina asked with worry. "Hey Ishihara, I'm gonna take my leave now." Sota said, before leaving the Infirmary. "Are you ok?" Reina asked again. "I'm fine. I'm fine. Just need some rest after all." Ishihara reassured Reina. "Ah!" Reina remembered. She rummaged through her bag and Ishihara was confused at what she's searching for. "What are you looking for?" Ishihara asked. She doesn't answer, but brings out a perfume bottle. "Perfume?" Ishihara said in confusion. "Vanilla scented perfume." Reina corrected. "Why that?" Ishihara questioned, getting up from the bed. "It's said to have calming effects and to give you memories of baking and cozy memories." Reina said. "Right, fun fact." Ishihara said, giving a thumbs up. She sprays it and Ishihara immediately smelt it. It was warm and soothing, like that time where you walk into a bakery for the first time.
He immediately became sleepy and almost went to sleep sitting. "Hey don't sleep yet, lay down." Reina said with worry. "Hmm." Ishihara replied. He lays down and Reina sits next to him. "I'll stay with you until you go to sleep." Reina said. "Okay." Ishihara said with drowsiness. He drifts off to sleep and Reina says something, but Ishihara couldn't hear all of it. "Good- my- flower." Reina said.
