Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: Protocol 10%, The Wraith’s God-Slayer

Hex raised his dual staves in a frenzy, his voice cracking with desperation. "I have an arsenal of the gods! You can't stop the inevitable, brat!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Bolt after bolt of jagged violet magic slammed into Tyler's rotating form. Hex waited for the scream, for the charred remains—but they never came. Tyler didn't even flinch. He accelerated, his spiked shell ignoring the arcane energy as if it were a light summer rain.

The Shred-Shell (Terraspin) was a biological dead-zone for magic.

"How?!" Hex shrieked, backing away like a cornered animal. "First an alien that drinks it, then one that eats it, and now one that just... ignores it?! What did the mystic arts ever do to the universe to deserve these freaks?!"

"Uncle, move!" Charmcaster lunged forward to assist, but Gwen dropped from her hoverboard like a red streak, tackling her mid-air. The two girls hit the deck, rolling into a chaotic brawl of hair-pulling and frantic punches.

"I'm not falling for your 'defenseless girl' routine again!" Gwen yelled, pinning Charmcaster's arms.

"Ow! My hair! You pulled my hair, you brat!"

While the girls engaged in a very un-magical wrestling match, Tyler was systematically dismantling Hex. He pressed the advantage, slamming his heavy shell into the old sorcerer again and again. But then, a cold, digital chime echoed in his mind.

[Ding! Host has significantly altered the timeline. Bezel the Arch-Demon, who was never meant to manifest in this era, has been unleashed. Progress +1%]

"You've got to be kidding me!" Tyler roared internally.

[Template Mastery: 40/100. Critical Node Reached. Carnitrix Synchronization: 10%]

Tyler felt a sudden, violent shift in the watch. The "Error Killing Consciousness" didn't just feel like a secondary instinct anymore—it felt like an extension of his own nervous system. He could feel the gears of the watch, the DNA strands waiting to be weaponized.

He unleashed a massive Bone-Crushing Vacuum, the air pressure slamming Hex into the side of the observatory. Hex slumped to the ground, coughing blood.

"How did you summon Bezel?" Tyler hissed, looming over him.

Hex let out a wet, wheezing cackle. "Hehe... you realized it? Too late, boy! You were too strong... I had to divert the ritual's fire into the Golemlings!"

BOOM!!

The sky tore open. A pillar of sickly purple light struck the elevator shaft on the roof. The Golemlings Tyler had previously defeated were gathered there, their stone bodies glowing with runes. They didn't just grow; they fused, melting into a singular, towering entity of rock and hellfire.

Bezel the Arch-Demon stepped out of the light. Every step vibrated with enough pressure to make a normal human's heart stop.

"Bezel! Save us!" Charmcaster screamed from beneath Gwen.

The Demon raised its hands. A tidal wave of purple magic swept across the roof, blowing Gwen, Charmcaster, and Hex off their feet and toward the ledge. Only Tyler stood his ground, his shell vibrating against the force.

"Tyler, we can't handle this!" Gwen shouted, scrambling back to her feet.

"Go! Get out of here!" Tyler commanded. Gwen didn't argue; she hopped onto her hoverboard and rocketed toward the street.

Bezel clenched its rocky fists, manifesting jagged magical drills and launching them at the remaining survivors. It was no longer a test—it was an execution.

Tyler moved. He became a spinning blur, intercepting the drills meant for the wounded Hex and Charmcaster.

"You... you saved us?" Charmcaster stammered, looking up at the terrifying turtle.

"Don't flatter yourselves," Tyler growled, grabbing one in each pincer. "If you die, I lose the gear." He leaped off the observatory, the two sorcerers screaming in terror as they plummeted hundreds of feet toward the pavement.

"IS HE CRAZY?!" Charmcaster wailed, her eyes squeezed shut.

At the last second, Tyler spun, creating a cushion of air that lowered them gently into the waiting hands of Ben (Techno-Parasite) and Gwen.

"Drop their gear and get them out of here!" Tyler shouted from the sky.

High above, only two figures remained: Tyler and the Arch-Demon.

"Ten percent control... let's see what the Carnitrix can really do," Tyler whispered. He slammed the dial.

Bezel hurled a massive chunk of the building's spire at him. Before it could connect, a flash of bloody light sliced through the air.

SWISH!

The debris was severed into two perfect halves by a streak of purple energy. The Void-Wraith (Ghostfreak) drifted out of the red mist, the Sword of Ek Chuah gripped in its spectral claw.

Tyler felt it—the connection was absolute. He could sense Bezel's weak points through the watch's threat-perception. He could see the killing blow before he even swung.

The Carnitrix was no longer just a tool. It was his soul.
