Ryan woke up and realized he fell asleep in a chair his head rested on the table charmander was on.
Or at least charmander was supposed to be on.

Getting outside he saw Flannery and Liza talking to the class.
"Well look who decided to join us."

"Whats wrong? Weren't you with charmander?"
"So you dont know where he went?! When I woke up he was gone!"

The class and Flannery watched confused as to what was going on.
"It must have gone back to the charcific vally."

Yuki spoke what was on the classes and Flannery mind for that matter mind.
"Nothing you all need to worry about."
"Flannery keep all the students, dont let them go anywhere."

Aron enraged moved to punch ryan but a flame belonging to charla the charizard stops him in his tracks.

Yuki moves forward worried as ryan got on Liza's charizard back.

Ryan gives yuki a wink as charla flaps into the air and goes full speed toward the charcific vally.

Charla flys down and ryan finally got a good look at the entrance to the charcific vally.
Ryan momentarily stunned at the statues and the entrance, a huge gated door almost no human could push through.
Finally ryan got snapped out of it as a huge column of flames bursts from within the valley.
"Oh no, That must be the clan leader."
"He doesn't look happy, how do we get in?"
"Follow me theres a secret side entrance I made."
Liza ran towards the edge of the gate and pointed at a boulder that looks out of place.
"Charla help me out."
"Char."
Charla sets up beside the rock and slowly pushs it out the way revealing a tunnel that leads to the valley.
"I didnt feel that was very secret."
"Who's gonna break into a home full of charizards?"
No sane person would go in there and expect not to be roasted alive so ryan shrugs.
They run down the tunnel until they reach the other side where they saw a ruff looking Coliseum made of rocks.

The charizard angered by his son's defiance swings his tail and sends charmander flying into the rocks.
Seeing charmander getting attack ryan doesn't hesitate.
Despite the calls to comeback from Liza ryan runs past all the pokemon watching and jumps into the arena with froakie by his side.
"Hey! Stop it! You oversized lizard!"
Ryan glares at charizard who was suprised to see a human in his vally.
"Char?"
Charmander who barely gets up holding its arm asks what he was doing here.
"Charmander we havent met long but I won't let you get hurt by your family any longer."
"You hear that! Charmander is coming with me."
"If you got a problem with that take your best shot!"
"Froakie!"
Ryan holds up a false bravado knowing one flamethrower from this charizard could ends its life.
Charizard just raises an non-existent eyebrow and stares thinking before looking at his son.

Charizard and charmander converse before charizard looks at ryan then at a charizard in the audience and bangs his stomach.
The charizard comes down looking ready to fight at the command of his leader.

"He wants you to battle that charizard."
Ryan looks to his left and sees Liza coming down towards him worry painted on her face.
"He wants to see your qualifications for taking his son away to be your pokemon."

Charmander just shakes his head before walking next to froakie and holding out his hand.

They converse and froakie clasp arms ready to battle together like brothers going into war.
"If your sure lets do this charmander, froakie!"
Ryan and his two pokemon look at there oppenent determined to win the coming battle as sparks fly between them and the charizard.
