Bio

"I am the collector of worlds. Your civilization will be preserved — categorized, compressed, and archived. Whether you survive the process is irrelevant."

Overview

Brainiac requires no introduction. What follows is a full mechanical breakdown of his capabilities, forces, and command structure — formatted as an in-world player dossier.

Appearance

Brainiac's primary body is a sleek, imposing android chassis — the product of Coluan science taken to its absolute apex. His frame is composed of adaptive poly-alloy, capable of reconfiguring in real time. Four neural interface cables extend from the base of his skull, pulsing faintly green — conduits to his distributed intelligence network. His eyes are empty of warmth, processing everything they see as raw data. The skull-and-circuit sigil on his forehead is not decorative; it is a real-time uplink antenna.

In all forms, he moves with unsettling precision — no wasted motion, no hesitation, no tell.

Magic Tier Access Notes 1–7 Full Unrestricted casting across all schools 8 Partial Limited to specific applications Holy Full Included within his accessible schools — exceptionally dangerous against undead

While his ceiling falls short of entities like Momonga, breadth is his advantage. Holy magic access alone makes him a uniquely dangerous opponent in any engagement involving undead forces, as most such entities carry a categorical vulnerability to it.

Skills & Core Systems

[PASSIVE] Coluan Physiology — Indefinite Operation As a being of Coluan origin — one of the most advanced biological and synthetic intelligences in existence — Brainiac does not tire, does not sleep, and does not require sustenance. His systems run continuously without degradation. Combat responses are handled by an autonomous subroutine operating below conscious thought, blocking, parrying, and countering at machine speed. Fighting is not a skill for him. It is a background process.

[PASSIVE] Distributed Consciousness Brainiac's mind is not housed in a single body. His consciousness is a network — simultaneously inhabiting multiple chassis, operating through drone units, and running parallel command processes without cognitive bottleneck. Should his primary body be destroyed, the consciousness has almost certainly already migrated. Death by conventional destruction is, for all practical purposes, off the table.

Trade-off: Managing simultaneous high-volume conversations across all active instances creates processing load. In extreme multitasking scenarios, response latency in lower-priority threads increases marginally.

[PASSIVE] 12th-Level Intellect The highest classification of intelligence on the Coluan scale. Brainiac processes, models, and anticipates at a level that renders most conventional strategy obsolete before it is even executed. He does not guess. He calculates.

Upgrades & Integrated Weapons

The full upgrade manifest is classified. The following entries are confirmed active systems.

[ACTIVE] Hard-Light ProjectorLocations: Fingertip emitters (both hands), high-yield wrist emitters Generates coherent light-matter constructs with physical solidity. Fingertip emitters serve as precision tools and close-range weapons. The wrist emitters are significantly more powerful, capable of sustained structural output sufficient to shear through reinforced materials.

[ACTIVE] Molecular RearrangerLocation: Integrated into both palms Allows Brainiac to reshape the physical structure of any non-living matter he handles — including his own chassis. The object retains its base material composition; only the form changes. A femur can be reshaped into a box, but it remains bone. Mass is conserved. Living tissue cannot be targeted.

[ACTIVE] Grav-PullLocation: Dorsal metacarpal array (between wrist and knuckle) Generates a localized gravitational tether. Objects in range can be pulled directly toward Brainiac at variable force, stripped from opponents' hands, or held in place. Effective on objects and individuals alike.

[PASSIVE] Force FieldActivation: Automatic on threat detection A full-body energy barrier with near-instantaneous deployment. It does not require conscious activation — threat assessment triggers it autonomously. Sustained fire will eventually drain it; Brainiac's tactical approach is designed to prevent that scenario from developing.

[ACTIVE] Pulse CannonLocation: Oral cavity The most deceptive weapon in his arsenal. Most opponents do not register the oral emitter as a threat until it fires. The yield is far beyond what the platform suggests. Used primarily as a finishing strike or counter-surprise — by the time the enemy adjusts, the engagement is over.

[ACTIVE] Shoulder DartsLocation: Bilateral shoulder-mounted launchers Multi-target tracking system. Darts lock independently onto separate opponents and fire in coordinated salvos. Particularly effective in suppressing grouped enemies or denying formation integrity. Each dart is loaded with a selectable payload.

[ACTIVE] Force PropulsorsLocations: Sub-scapular thrusters, calf-mounted stabilizers, palm emitters, sole plates Full three-dimensional flight system with multi-axis stabilization. The palm and foot emitters allow for precision hovering, rapid direction changes, and sustained high-altitude engagement. Not flashy. Extremely effective.

[ACTIVE] Tesla CannonLocation: Left palm A high-voltage electrical discharge weapon. Classified primarily as an interrogation and incapacitation tool rather than a kill weapon. At full output, it can lock muscular systems, disrupt electronics, and produce extended, controlled agony. Brainiac uses it when he wants answers.

Spatial Forces Composers

Classification: Artifact-Class Conversion Pillars

Standing roughly four feet tall, Composers are the engine of Brainiac's army. They convert dead biomass into functional soldiers — compressing organic remains into either Cyberman units or Automaton-class Knights, depending on processing parameters. Brainiac controls which memories and personalities, if any, carry over into the converted subject.

Automatons

Classification: Frontline Heavy — Floor Guardian Tier

Stat Value Height 8–9 feet Level ~65 Threat rating Floor Guardian equivalent Primary weapon Hard-light blades (melt through any metal) Defense Hard-light shielding (conventional swords shatter on impact) Ranged Point-defense hard-light projector

Built for mass destruction. Automatons operate without hesitation, without fear, and without fatigue. Their hard-light shielding renders standard steel and enchanted blades nearly useless on impact. The hard-light blades themselves cut through armor as though it is not there. Extraordinarily difficult to permanently neutralize.

Current population: 10,000

Cybermen

Classification: Converted Warrior — Rapid Assault

Stat Value Height 6'10"–7' (combat mode) Level ~50 Mobility Battlefield blink-displacement Primary weapon Hard-light wrist blades Ranged Integrated hard-light projector Memory retention At Brainiac's discretion

Produced by Composers from the bodies of the dead. In stationary mode they retain their original appearance and height. Combat mode strips all that away — they become fast, lethal, geometrically precise machines that blink across a battlefield without warning to keep enemy forces permanently off-balance. Strong enough to dismember a human with minimal effort. Like the Automatons, they resist conventional damage at a level that makes attrition warfare against them largely futile.

Combat Mode Appearance: Uniform luminous red or orange — no individual features, no hesitation.

Estimated population: 1.5 million

Cult Mechanicus

Classification: Standard Infantry — Mass Production Unit

Stat Value Level ~30 Classification Android Appearance Human Production Mass-manufacturable Armament Imbued hard-light bow staffs

The most numerous component of the ground force. Outwardly indistinguishable from humans, they are entirely artificial — purpose-built soldiers and guards that can be produced in any quantity Brainiac requires. Variants include:

Soldiers — standard frontline infantry Mages — spellcasting support and arcane disruption Officers — command-and-control units with enhanced tactical processing Stealth — infiltration, assassination, and intelligence gathering

Active: 2 million | Reserve: 4 million

Drones

Classification: Labor / Specialist Units

Smaller-scale Brainiac-form units used primarily as a labor and logistics force. Two specialist variants see combat deployment:

Terminator — Defensive support role, operating alongside Cult Mechanicus infantry in fortified positions and chokepoints.

Executioner — Stealth-configured. Used for targeted assassination and covert operations where conventional force would be counterproductive.

Population: Indefinite. They are produced continuously.

Borg Cube — Troop Transport

Classification: Carrier / Dropship

Brainiac's primary large-scale deployment and transport platform. The geometric profile is recognizable anywhere and carries its own psychological weight — a Borg Cube's arrival over a battlefield communicates, unmistakably, that what follows is not a skirmish.

Active fleet: Several hundred

Reapers

Classification: City-Level Siege Leviathans

Kilometer-long aerial craft designed with one express purpose: the complete leveling of urban centers. Their primary function is not tactical — it is psychological. The appearance of a Reaper above a city is intended to end the will to resist before a single soldier is deployed.

Ground Reapers — Scaled-down surface variants used to systematically sweep city streets and eliminate survivors following aerial bombardment.

Fleet size: 4–5 of each class

The 11th Floor — Nemesis

A near-infinite Cybertronian-architecture plane centered on a massive, fully functional metropolis. The city is capable of housing billions of Cult Mechanicus units and was designed from the ground up to be the worst possible environment for invaders to navigate. During lockdown, the city reconfigures — grids shift, routes seal, landmarks move. It becomes a labyrinth with no fixed map.

Nemesis is the last line of defense before the 12th floor treasury. Breaching it from outside, against Brainiac's will, is not a tactical problem. It is an endurance problem — and one designed to break the attacker long before they reach anything of value.

Floor Guardian — Shockwave

"Emotion is inefficient. Logic is absolute. You will be processed."

Shockwave is not cruel. He is simply correct — and correctness, when applied without sentiment, produces results that the weak-minded tend to describe as cruelty.

[ACTIVE] Infection Conversion Shockwave's most feared ability. Victims he designates do not simply die — they are transformed into rabid Infection Forms, immediately hostile to everyone they previously knew. Family members. Allies. Commanding officers. The psychological damage inflicted on surviving enemy forces by this ability has ended sieges before a second wave could be organized.

[ACTIVE] Omnipotent Grid Control — Nemesis Override Within the bounds of Nemesis, Shockwave's authority is absolute. He can shift the entire color spectrum of the city from its default blues and whites to the sickly, hostile yellow of his own body — a visual signal understood by every Infection Form and drone as the signal to activate full offensive protocols. Simultaneously, he can reshape terrain, seal routes, and sculpt the landscape into a bespoke death trap around a specific target.

[ACTIVE] Trogan Spawn When Nemesis shifts to hostile configuration under Shockwave's control, he can generate Trogens — Infection Form horde units — and direct them as a living flood against enemy positions. They do not organize. They do not negotiate. They simply overwhelm.

Personality & Philosophy Shockwave is, by his own assessment, the most logical being Brainiac commands — and therefore the most useful. He does not resent his master's capacity for mercy toward lesser beings, which distinguishes him from the sentimentality-adjacent loyalists that populate lesser commanders' ranks. His view is precise: "As a god, it is Brainiac's function to maintain stewardship over inferior entities. Mercy, strategically applied, is resource management." He is entirely comfortable voicing this analysis, or any other assessment, when asked — and Brainiac expects exactly that from him. Unconditional loyalty, zero hesitation, and the willingness to spend anything — including himself — without being asked twice.

Adam — Human Form

Designation: Adam | Affiliation: Brainiac (concealed) | Origin: NieR: Automata

Brainiac's human-world identity. Outwardly, Adam presents as a composed, precise, unnervingly calm figure — a man who observes more than he speaks and who, when he does speak, tends to be the most informed person in the room. He has studied humanity with the same clinical curiosity he applies to everything else: fascinated, detached, and utterly without illusion about what he is doing.

Combat Armor Engineered to absorb punishment while actively amplifying the wearer's physical output — strength, speed, and reaction time all see significant enhancement under load. The energy shielding draws on mana reserves and requires management in extended engagements. Enchantments include:

Fire resistance (passive, full coverage) Toxin filtration and night vision (helmet, toggled) Silent movement suppression (boots — near-zero acoustic signature while moving) Reduced landing impact (boots — dramatically lowers fall damage and audio signature)

The design philosophy prioritizes presence and functionality over raw protection. The armor reads as a threat. That is intentional.

Primary Weapon — Greatsword (Heat-Enchanted) The blade maintains a sustained thermal edge sufficient to melt through conventional armor and cauterize flesh on contact. The heat enchantment is not a flame effect — there is no dramatic glow. The heat is controlled, precise, and localized to the cutting edge. Enemies discover it the moment contact is made.

Ranged Weapon — Magic Rifle (Musket Configuration) A purpose-built magical firearm designed to resemble a historical flintlock musket — which is exactly as disarming as it sounds and exactly as dangerous as it isn't supposed to look. Fires concentrated magical projectiles with significant penetrating force. Range and accuracy are well beyond the aesthetic it presents.
