Dizzy and heavy headed…
These were the only two things Sarina could feel at that moment as she slowly regained her consciousness.
Fighting the string urge to vomit, she took deep breaths and opened her eyes, blinking repeatedly to escape the extreme headache she was feeling at that moment.
Finally, after what felt like hours to Sarina but a few minutes in reality, she felt a little better and sluggishly looked around, totally astonished when she realized where she was.
Shocked, she sat up straight when another wave of dizziness washed over, slumping her back on the floor, making her groan in pain.
Clenching her teeth, she fought that dizziness and cautiously once again sat up, leaning her head against the rod she was tied to.
'Tied!? What the hell? How in the world did I got here and what...'
Sarina thought when the entire situation registered in her mind as the memories of how that man had sprayed something, most likely chloroform, on her face, making her unconscious.
'Ahhh! I can't believe it. My second day in Capital city and I am already kidnapped. And here I thought that everything was actually going smooth for me. Damn I have such a facetious tongue.'
Sarina sarcastically thought, almost laughing on her own thoughts.
"Sister Angel, for how long I have been unconscious? And what about my parents? Do they know about my kidnapping?"
Sarina seriously asked, observing the place she was locked in as tried to calm down the anxiousness she was feeling while thinking of her parents.
[You have been unconscious for 3 hours Ina. As for your parents, I am not much sure but given their protective nature, they must have definitely realized by now that you have gone missing.]
Angel replied, breathing a sigh of relief at last. As the only witness of how Sarina got kidnapped, only she knew how worried she had been till now.
If anything were to happen to Sarina, she knew she would never be able to forgive herself. To her, she wasn't just a host but a very dear friend and a loving child to her.
Angel definitely didn't want to lose Sarina at any cost.
"There is no doubt that they would already noticed me going missing and most likely would have already called the police as well. I have to get out of here as soon as possible."
Sarina mumbled, her eyes wandering to find a way to escape this mess. From the unused machines, all the dirt and spider webs, by now she was quite sure that she was in an abandoned warehouse or factory.
"Damn it! Why are there no windows over here? How am I suppose to escape now?" Sarina exclaimed, trying to suppress the fear that was rising in her heart.
[There might be a back door. You should first untie your hands before looking around. The people who kidnapped you can return anytime. You have to think of a way as soon as possible. You don't have much time to waste.]
Angel reminded, feeling very anxious for her host.
"Yeah. You are right." Sarina said, also realizing she was running against time.
Wiggling her arms, she groaned in pain as the tight ropes rub and cut against her skin but didn't give up, steadily trying to reach the dagger she always carried with herself.
At a time like this, she felt very glad that she had chosen to learn how to use a dagger as her first weapon back then. After learning it, she had made it a habit to carry at least two daggers with herself for her safety.
One was tucked in her pants from behind while the other was hidden inside her clothes.
After a few trials, she finally was able move her hands a little more freely and quickly reached the dagger hidden behind. Taking it out, she cautiously cut the rope while making sure it doesn't pierce trough her hand.
Twisting her wrist to bring back the blood circulation, Sarina stood up as soon as she freed herself from the clutches of that rope.
Swirling the dagger with expertise, she cautiously stepped forward while making sure she didn't make any noises. Her each step careful, filled with prudence and vigilance as she alertly scrutinized her surroundings.
Only Sarina knew how grateful she was at that moment for her decision to learn and not give on learning how to fight and use weapons back then.
Even though she didn't have any real-life experience of fighting, she still had practiced and fought against many talented masters, even multiple people together at one time within the pocket dimension.
She had no doubt that even if 50 trained people were to attack her together, she can still escape and even easily kill them if she had a one-on-one fight with them.
'Sigh! It seems after I get out of here, I will have to focus more on such skills.'
Sarina thought, keeping all her senses heightened as she walked throughout the place. She really couldn't even remember how many times she had sighed after waking up.
Just as she was busy wondering about the situation, she felt her ears twitch as they seemed to have heard something or more precisely to say someone.
It seemed like someone was panting and gasping in fear and exhaustion.
Fully alert and straight, Sarina followed the noises, warily stepping forward as her grasp on her dagger tightened, ready to slash through anyone who wanted to harm her.
Vigilant and watchful, she careful removed the box separating her and the noise, aiming her dagger towards it when the sight in front of her made her hand pause, alarmed and worried.
Lying before her was a small girl; cute and beautiful like a doll. Her doe adorable eyes filled with tears and fear as her hands and feet were tied together, making it nearly impossible for her free herself.
Sarina could literally feel an arrow pierce straight through her heart, melting it completely into a puddle. After all, no matter which age group a girl belongs to, her love and admiration for beautiful things can never diminish no matter what.
Sarina was experiencing the small thing. Aside from the fact that dur to the twins, she also harbored a soft spot for children in her heart like the girl and with the addition of her adorable face, how could she not fall in love with her.
[Ina, you can admire her later. The mist important thing now is to save her and escape from here before those kidnappers come back.]
Looking at her host who usually acted quite aloof and indifferent going fangirl over a child, Angel sighed and reminded her.
"Oh yeah! Sorry I got distracted for a moment." Sarina said, smiling sheepishly a moment before getting serious again and quickly running to the little girl, untying ropes around binding her hands and feet.
Regaining her mobility and freedom, the little girl who had stubbornly suppressing her emotions burst into complete tears at the sight of Sarina and immediately jumped into her arms.
"Wahhhh wahhhh! Fairy sister, did you come here to save Rose? Mom was right. Rose really has a fairy sister who will protect Rose if she is a good girl. Besides, my fairy sister is definitely the most beautiful fairy sister out there, right?"
The little girl, Rose exclaimed, tears still falling down her cheeks yet still very ecstatic to finally meet her fairy sister, her small body shivering as she hugged Sarina even tighter as if hiding away from all her fears into the warm embrace of fairy sister.
Staring at the trembling doll in her arms, Sarina warmly smiled at her, pulling her even closer and lovingly caressing her head.
"Don't be scared doll. As long as I am here, no one can cause you any harm. Come on, take deep breaths and stop crying. Seeing these tears in your eyes really breaks my heart. Now give me a smile."
Sarina said, gently wiping away her tears, tickling her stomach lightly, making her burst into laughter; highlighting the dimples that made Rose even more charming.
"hahahaha! Stop, please stop fairy sister. I promise I won't cry."
Rose promised while trying to run away from Sarina's hands that kept holding her in place.
"Ok now. Enough fun. Tell me truthfully how you got here? How did these people catch you?"
Letting the little girl take a breath, Sarina seriously asked, narrowing her eyes at Rose, warning her to speak the truth without hiding anything.
After all, Sarina hadn't lived 12 years at the Montclair family for anything. One glance at her clothes, accessories and temperament and she could easily tell that the girl in front of her obviously belonged to a super-rich family of capital city.
And this fact confused her even further. In her previous life, she knew almost everyone in upper class circle and had even crossed path with those hidden families but still couldn't recognize the girl in front of her.
Even though all of them where definitely much older when she had met them, but she was also very sure that this little girl wasn't a part of that which confused her even further.
Even if she did get kidnapped, she was sure that her parents definitely had the resources to protect her.
What Sarina actually didn't know was that in her previous life, Rose had already died in the hand of the kidnappers before her parents could find her, which is why she had never heard and met Rose.
But now it was different, her presence had not only changed the destiny of Rose but had even intertwined their fates together in a way that she could've never imagined.
The wheels of fate had turned, now where it will take them, only time will tell.
