Keifer's Pov
After that we reached the venue, I was bit sulky because I cannot keep my calm after knowing she is in love with me, I mean how am I supposed to get back to work when the love of my life is right across me,
She freshens up and come back again to start working and I can definitely see why people are scared of her, because right now she is a perfectionist also I couldn't blame her because that's she gained every thing she has now and it is quite impressive and it reminds me of the time when her files reached my desk saying she poached my clients, to think I just came to buy her company but ended up constituting a plan with her plan to break wedding where we get our love back but instead we ended up falling, never in my wildest dream I would have thought that such crazy things would happen to me.
I was just standing there glancing at her when she walks towards me, I smile at her but she pulls and glare at me,
Jay: "What are you doing here?"
Keifer: "Why?" I asked in confused and clueless tone,
Jay: "I told you to check on the caters"
Keifer: "I.." I stumble upon the words because clearly I was too busy admiring her, I forgot to do what she asked for,
she gives me a look which is quite scary,
Keifer: "I will go right now" I will be honest I was a little scared,
then we got busy in work but there was still one thing running in my mind, I wanted to ask her to be my date to the wedding, it's something I wanted to do after the kiss but since she well let's not talk about it right now,
Now I don't know what, where or how exactly to ask her that but I do know I want to, that's when,
We get a mid break, I take this as an opportunity and pull her aside,
Jay: "What? What happened?"
Keifer: "I need to ask you something ."
Jay: "Quick quick, I have go check on the music"
Keifer: " Did you have lunch?"
Jay: "Did you just call me to ask that?" She fumed a little,
Keifer: "No,no, I want to ask something else ."
But in the middle someone starts speaking in her earpiece,
Jay: "I have to go and don't worry, I will grab something to eat." She says and taps my arms and goes,
I sigh thinking I still haven't asked her to my date for the wedding yet.
Then we are officially done with the work, when she comes up to me and before I could speak she starts,
Jay: "Now go change for the wedding and I will do too, It has to be at perfect sunset. Go go" she said and pushed me without even waiting for me to speak,
I go and change in the tux and come down only to be welcomed by the sight of my Jay walking downstair fixing her earring, looking ethereal in blue, I mean does she know that, I think my jaw dropped looking at her, oh my God,
surely I must have something so great that I have her in my life right now, I gleam with joy just looking at her and also I want to shout to everyone that she is mine but I restraint myself.
she does the last minute checking and I do too and after that everything is all set, she comes next to me moving away from the aisle,
we stand in the corner as the wedding begins and my full focus is on her and she making sure everything is perfect, but she realises I am looking at her,
she turns to look at me, she raises her eyebrows as if asking a question,
Keifer: "I have to ask you something?" I whisper,
Jay: "What is it?" she whisper back.
I lean down a little closer, so close that my lips is brushing her ears, I could feel the shiver pass down her spine, I smirk knowing the effect I have on her,
Keifer: "Will you be my date to the wedding?" and I lean back to look at her,
she takes a minute before she answer,
Jay: "I thought I already am " she says which bring a smile on my face,
Keifer: "Oh then I am glad" I say and interlock our fingers together, to which her face is adorned with shock and she pulls back,
Jay: "We are still at work" she says in a warning tone and just then the music begin and both of us turn towards the aisle because it was the bride's entry,
Jay's Pov
both of us turned towards the aisle when it was time for Freya's entry, she walks slowly and beautifully and everyone's eyes are on her, even Keifer's it pulls a tug inside me and I look at her, of course I know she is prettier than me and I look back at Keifer who was looking at her and then turns his attention to me because I was looking at him, What if he regrets it or what if it just a moment of lapse because his ex is getting married,
I know this was not the right time to ask but my insecurities are eating me up too much so I do it anyways,
Jay: "Do you regret breaking up with her?" I ask in a flat tone,
to which his face mirrors surprise and confusion,
Keifer: "Not even the tiniest bit" he says with a firm confidence in his voice, his little finds mine and he interlock it, I know it is just to reassure me but it feels like a promise, a promise he would never break my heart,
he opens his mouth to speak but I stop him with a nod,
Jay: "After the wedding" I say and he just nods understanding I just need a word from him and also we have so much to talk about but it's not the right time,
and just like that they get married and I look at them with a content feeling because they are one of the reasons why Keifer and I got close, if it wasn't for the mutual hate for their relationship which we had, who knows if maybe we would have gotten close.
he still holding my little finger behind my dress and I just look at and smile before I turn back to the couple.
