Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: I Broke Sixth Master's music box...

Looking at Sixth Master, who had her head buried, Mono was puzzled.

No matter what trouble they had encountered along the way, Sixth Master had never cried like this before.

Even when a hunter was pointing a gun at her, she hadn't cried.

Why was she acting like a Little Girl now?

This was simply unscientific.

Faced with Mono's question, Little Six didn't reply, still keeping her head buried.

Mono squatted down, held her shoulders, and straightened her body up.

Little Six's eyes were red now, tears constantly sliding down her dirty face, and crystal-clear snot was running down her nose.

Mono was stunned once again.

This appearance of hers was truly too rare.

Had she really seen a ghost?

Though incredibly surprised, Mono still asked:

"What happened to you? Are you injured?"

Hearing this, Little Six's small face twitched uncontrollably.

"If you're hurt, just say so. Don't try to tough it out alone."

Mono thought he had guessed correctly.

"I..."

With tearful eyes, Little Six looked at Mono, but though she opened her mouth, the words stopped at her lips.

"Hey, what exactly is wrong? If something's up, just say it. Don't be all wishy-washy like a woman. Do you really think I won't help you?"

Mono scolded her gently.

Little Six finally managed to regain some color in her face.

But she still didn't say a word.

"Ahem,"

Mono cleared his throat and had no choice but to speak again,

"Stop showing such an ugly face. Look at me, I fell down so many times just now and didn't cry. And you? You're much tougher than me, so why are you crying?"

The still-sobbing Little Six finally raised her head again, looking at Mono with a pitiful gaze.

Mono instantly understood her thoughts and promised again: "Don't worry, I'll definitely help you."

He was also quite curious about what could turn the cold and heartless Sixth Master into this state.

As he spoke, Little Six finally moved.

She slowly released her hands that were tightly hugging her knees.

Then, she revealed the object she had been clutching tightly to her chest.

Mono looked at what she was holding and was slightly stunned.

A music box was lying quietly in Little Six's arms.

However, it was different from what he had seen in the basement before.

The music box was now broken into two halves.

He finally understood why Sixth Master was crying.

So it was because her beloved music box was broken?

Mono turned to look at the dejected Sixth Master, but he didn't know what to say.

Was it really worth crying like this over a tiny music box?

But soon, Mono was struck by a sudden realization.

It actually was worth it.

In the game, it seemed Sixth Master had always cared deeply about this music box of hers.

Even after she transformed into a monster later on, she still held onto it tightly.

Some even said that one of the reasons Sixth Master let go of his hand at the end, letting him fall into the abyss, was because he had destroyed her music box.

Mono's heart suddenly skipped a beat.

He suddenly thought of what had just happened.

Could this music box have been broken by the recoil from the Musket just now?

If that were the case, wouldn't he, the one who made her hold the Musket, be the culprit who caused her music box to be destroyed?

In that case, it was actually him!

He was the one who broke Sixth Master's music box!!!?

He was the one who made Sixth Master cry!!?

Mono was terrified.

Damn it, it's over. Sixth Master wouldn't hold a grudge against him because of this, would she?

Thinking of this, Mono could no longer remain calm.

If Sixth Master realized it, she would definitely kill him.

She definitely would.

Out of a desire for survival, a gentle smile appeared on his face again.

Mono's youthful voice carried a strange charisma as he tried to comfort her: "Oh, why are you crying? Isn't it just a music box? Hey, stop crying. I'll help you find another one when I have time, okay?"

He attempted to make her let go of the matter before she noticed the truth.

Sixth Master suddenly stopped crying.

Mono's words seemed to have provoked her.

She raised her head to look at Mono, and ignoring her still-reddened eyes, she said seriously:

"I want this one. Only this one. Only this one. Only one."

As she spoke, Mono seemed to see a flash of coldness in her eyes.

He was startled by the icy aura she displayed at that moment.

"Ding!"

Before Mono's eyes, Sixth Master's Attribute Values suddenly took a massive leap.

Strength increased by nearly half.

Speed and Spirit also increased slightly.

That hidden Talent Ability even jumped forward by a decimal point.

"Damn, she's cheating!"

Mono couldn't help but curse in his heart.

He was both shocked and angry.

Sixth Master's strength had skyrocketed without a word; where was the justice in this?

He had a system and worked himself to the bone, yet in the end, he couldn't compare to the power boost this little psycho got from an emotional shift caused by accidentally breaking a lousy music box?

Though Mono felt aggrieved, he was immediately filled with fear.

Sixth Master's obsession with the music box was truly extreme; just a moment of agitation had triggered an Alienation in her body.

If she realized later that he was the reason her music box was destroyed, wouldn't she just kill him on the spot?
