"And you have surpassed my expectations. Are you going to surrender? It must be difficult to keep that much power contained within yourself." She shook her head. "How are you even doing it?"
Alex shrugged, his eyes glowing a deep silver. "Surrender? You must know you are the one at a disadvantage. Your armor is already falling apart."
As he spoke, two lightning spears took shape in front of him, and he hurled them at her casually. She turned to mist, and they passed through her, doing as much harm as they would to the wind.
She grinned. "I will just keep turning to mist until you run out of energy, then I'll finish you off."
The energy outside the shielding was getting thick enough to cut with a knife. They didn't say it out loud, but Azaroth knew that Alex had forced the woman to take him seriously. He turned a few things over in his mind. He didn't like this fight because Alex was wasting time; it should have ended a long time ago.
