Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 — Secret Training

Behind Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, deep within the forested training grounds.

A secluded clearing had been prepared beforehand.

The area had been sealed with a barrier technique arranged personally by Satoru Gojo, ensuring that outsiders could neither see nor sense the destructive training taking place inside.

Tall trees surrounded the clearing.

At the center lay a wide rocky plain.

Perfect for destruction.

"Well then…"

Gojo slowly removed his blindfold.

His Six Eyes—brilliant azure—shone under the sunlight.

The playful laziness he normally carried vanished instantly.

In its place stood the strongest sorcerer of the modern era.

"Let's see your limits."

Across from him stood Yagami Sora.

He took a slow breath.

Although they had briefly exchanged moves before, this was their first serious training session.

Facing the strongest sorcerer alive—

He could not afford to be careless.

"Vector Manipulation—Full Power."

Sora's pupils turned crimson.

The surrounding air began to churn violently.

Wind spiraled outward.

Gravel lifted from the ground, floating around him like orbiting satellites.

"Good."

Gojo smiled.

Then—

He disappeared.

Not teleportation.

But the Limitless technique manipulating space, compressing distance between two points.

The next moment—

He appeared behind Sora.

A kick followed immediately.

There was no cursed technique behind it.

Just pure speed and physical skill.

WHOOOSH!

"Reflection."

Sora didn't even turn around.

The vector reflection field behind him activated automatically.

CLANG!

Gojo's kick struck the invisible barrier.

The impact echoed like metal striking diamond.

"Nice reaction."

Gojo flipped backward lightly and hovered midair.

Then he raised one finger.

"Let's try this."

"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue."

A deep blue sphere formed instantly.

The gravitational pull of the technique began dragging everything toward it.

Trees bent.

Boulders ripped free from the ground.

The force attempted to drag Sora toward the singularity.

"Gravitational attraction…"

Sora analyzed instantly.

The ground beneath his feet cracked under the pull.

But he remained rooted in place.

"Then I'll reverse the vector."

He stomped the ground.

A repulsive shockwave erupted outward.

BOOM!

The gravitational pull of Blue collided with Sora's repulsive vector field.

The air rippled violently like two opposing tides crashing together.

"Not finished."

Gojo raised his hand again.

This time red light gathered at his fingertip.

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red."

A crimson sphere exploded outward.

Unlike Blue's attraction—

Red generated overwhelming repulsion.

Its destructive force was more than twice as violent.

The crimson shockwave shot toward Sora like a meteor.

"Reflect!"

Sora thrust both hands forward.

His calculations ran at full capacity.

Instead of reflecting it directly—

He altered the directional vectors of the blast.

The attack curved upward.

BOOM!

The sky exploded.

A massive hole opened through the clouds.

Sunlight poured down through the gap.

Gojo slowly descended.

Clapping.

"Impressive."

"You can even redirect Red."

"Your calculation ability really is monstrous."

But then he raised a finger.

"However."

"Sora, your attack methods are still too simple."

Sora frowned slightly.

Gojo continued.

"You mostly rely on reflection."

"Or environmental manipulation like compressed air."

"But what if your opponent refuses to attack?"

"What if they only defend?"

Sora fell silent.

Gojo wasn't wrong.

His strongest offensive ability currently was the Vector Air Cannon.

Against normal enemies it was devastating.

But against someone like Gojo—

It was insufficient.

"To harm someone like me…"

Gojo pointed upward.

"…you need energy that's more extreme."

He pointed toward the sun.

"Like that."

"Plasma?"

Sora's eyes brightened.

Gojo nodded.

"You used plasma once against Sukuna."

"But that version was unstable."

"Just superheated gas."

"If you could create high-density plasma…"

"…or manipulate electron flow itself…"

He shrugged.

"That would be a completely different level."

Sora looked at him.

"Would it bypass Limitless?"

"In theory…"

Gojo smiled.

"Yes."

"Limitless filters objects based on spatial interaction."

"But phenomena like extreme radiation or nuclear-level heat…"

"…force my technique to constantly consume cursed energy."

"If the energy density is high enough…"

"It could even distort space itself."

"Try it."

Sora closed his eyes.

Inside his mind—

Formulas exploded into existence.

Air compression.

Thermal acceleration.

Ionization.

Electron stabilization.

Not only compression—

But containment.

The chaotic particles had to be controlled like soldiers in formation.

"Gather…"

Sora's eyes snapped open.

His hand rose into the air.

ZZZZT—!

The surrounding atmosphere rushed inward violently.

Invisible wind turned into visible white currents.

Temperature skyrocketed.

A blinding white sphere formed in Sora's palm.

Unlike the unstable plasma before—

This one was stable.

Pure.

Brilliant.

Like a miniature sun.

The surrounding air distorted under the extreme heat.

"…Plasma."

Sora felt the energy trembling in his hand.

Maintaining it required immense calculation.

Sweat ran down his face—

Only to evaporate instantly.

"Go."

He threw the sphere toward a distant hill.

WHOOSH—

The attack moved faster than sound.

For a brief moment—

Silence.

Then—

The hill vanished.

Not exploded.

Not shattered.

Simply erased.

Vaporized completely.

Several seconds later—

The displaced air rushed inward.

BOOOOM!

A delayed thunder roared across the valley.

Violent wind whipped through the clearing.

Gojo whistled softly.

"Well…"

"That's stronger than Red."

He looked toward the missing hill.

"If that hit a human…"

"…there wouldn't even be ashes left."

Sora collapsed onto the ground.

Panting heavily.

That single attack had drained almost all his mental processing capacity.

But the results were undeniable.

"What's the name of the move?" Gojo asked.

Sora wiped sweat from his face.

Then smiled.

"Vector Plasma Cannon."

Gojo raised a thumb.

"Excellent finishing move."

"But you still need control."

"You can't collapse every time you fire it."

"In real combat, nobody waits for you to recover."

He cracked his knuckles.

"Next training session…"

"…we'll make this your basic attack."

Sora stared at him.

"…Are you a demon?"

Gojo grinned.

"I'm the strongest."

Their laughter echoed across the mountains.

On this day—

Yagami Sora truly mastered his first ultimate technique.

But it was only the beginning.

Black Wings.

White Wings.

And beyond that—

The realm of gods.

His evolution had only just begun.
