Chapter 508 - Chapter 495

**Chapter 495**

**Fleet Command**

**Dagon POV**

**Aboard the Gray Wolf – Command Suite**

I sat down at the large holotable in my private command suite, the soft blue glow of the display casting long shadows across the room. After the chaos at the Jedi Temple and the emotional whirlwind that followed, it felt good to return to something familiar — strategy, logistics, and cold numbers.

*Man, it's a good thing I sent Sumeragi and the others to handle the Coruscant detachment,* I thought, rubbing my temple. *Otherwise the entire 12th Sector would have been left hanging. Now it's back to being fully my responsibility.*

I leaned forward and activated the master fleet display. Hundreds of ship icons lit up across the holographic map, color-coded by allegiance, location, and readiness. I began organizing everything mentally, cross-referencing reports from the last few weeks.

"Let's see what we're working with…"

---

**Coruscant – Mern 13 Detachment**

Valiant-class lead ship under Admiral Grace O'Connor. General Li Noriega remains as overall fleet coordinator. Chief Communications Officer Christen Mirro is keeping everything running smoothly.

Supporting vessels:

- Yaddle under Admiral Hellman Gramb

- Independence under Admiral Ben Del-Dala

- Blackfire under General Arten Su

Each Valiant is escorted by 5 Lancer-class frigates, 4 Starkiller-class light cruiser/carriers, 3 Marauder-class corvettes, 4 Arquitens-class command cruisers, and 2 Arquitens-class light cruisers. Plus 5 Venators, 5 Accumulators, and 20 Aegis-class Hammerhead cruisers for additional firepower and troop transport.

**Finalizer Group:**

- Finalizer under Admiral Lichtendal Cerri

- Steadfast under Admiral Lustian Kalgen

Both Resurgents are being reinforced with another 5 carriers and 10 Lancers each.

---

**Eriadu Base – 18th Sector Detachment**

Tarkin's growing command was shaping up nicely.

- Sovereign under Admiral Wilhuff Tarkin

- Hood under Admiral Pellaeon

- York under Admiral Ray

Each Valiant carries the standard escort package. In addition, I've assigned them:

- Allegiance-class battlescruisers *Allegiance* and *Ravager*

- Resurgent-class *Avenger* and *Vigilance*

Tarkin now has solid striking power to secure Eriadu and project force across the 18th Sector. Night Hammer Base is in good hands.

---

**Lantilles – Main Dark Star Fleet**

This was my core. My personal hammer.

**Resurgent-class Battlecruiser:**

- Blossom

-Resurgent

- Ranger

- Grey Wolf (Flagship – Fleet Admiral Kinaun)

- Fortitude (Fleet Admiral Dittmar)

- Fulminatrix

**Modified Exquisite Resurgent Carrier** under Commander Biron Mittermeier.

**Valiant-class Star Destroyers:**

- Silencer (Jedi General Stella)

- Retribution (Jedi General Kayla)

- Endurance (Jedi General Flare)

- Knull (Admiral Firmus Piett)

- Necrosword (Admiral Brom Titus)

- Enterprise (Commander Ethan Clairmoor)

- Vanguard (Admiral Solvan Kobayashi)

- Skelter (Jedi General Aayla Secura – newly assigned)

**Support Fleet (Dark Star Personal Task Force):**

- Over 500 Lancer-class frigates (75 assigned directly to me)

- 250 Starkiller-class light carriers (25 Dark Star)

- 700 Arquitens-class light cruisers (90 mine)

- 150 Arquitens-class command cruisers (35 Dark Star)

- 95 Braha'tok-class gunships (all Dark Star)

- 1,400 Marauder-class corvettes (55 Dark Star)

- 700 Accumulator-class assault ships (80 Dark Star)

- 350 Venators (25 Dark Star)

- 3,100 Aegis Hammerhead-class light cruisers (300 Dark Star)

- 4 Allegiance-class battlescruisers (*Dominion, Eclipse, Nighthawk, Alliance*)

I leaned back in my chair, staring at the glowing icons.

To the average Republic admiral, this might look small compared to the massive clone fleets or CIS droid swarms. But quality over quantity had always been my philosophy. A single Resurgent-class was worth roughly sixty standard CIS warships in a straight fight, especially at range. An Allegiance-class battlescruiser, when positioned correctly, could trade blows with seventy-five or more.

My Dark Star units were equipped with the best — advanced Skelters, TIE Whispers, Defenders, and Punishers. The regular 12th Sector Fleet used solid but more standard TIE Whispers. In the long run, I'd need something better for mass production.

*Maybe during this Valahari investigation I can secure their engine designs,* I mused. *Then partner with Incom Corporation to develop the X-Wing. It's cheaper than a TIE Advanced and can already use the Z-95 frame that's common in Republic service. Versatile, reliable… perfect.*

I made a note on the datapad.

In two to three months, the 25 Nebula-class Star Destroyers from Sienar will be complete. That will significantly boost our heavy hitting power.

I remembered the old timelines — the New Republic had to deal with Imperial warlords who each commanded Executor-class Super Star Destroyers and even larger 20,000-meter beasts. It took the New Class Modernization Program to finally put them down. Theoretically, my current ships — especially the Resurgents and Allegiances — should have a decisive advantage over CIS Subjugator heavy cruisers and similar vessels.

Still… war was never just about ships.

I stood up and stretched, the black armored arm humming softly. The girls were waiting. Aayla was still recovering emotionally. The Valahari investigation loomed.

One step at a time.

"Admiral piett," I called through the comm, "prepare the fleet. We jump for Lantilles in one hour. Full resupply and readiness check. We're heading into the Rial Kroon system afterward."

"Understood, General."

I looked out the viewport at the stars.

The war never stopped. But neither would I.
