Chapter 459 - Chapter 450 despair and a handful of hope blood battle part 5

**Chapter 450**

**Despair and a Handful of Hope – Finale**

**Scene 1**

Dagon's broken body burned with cursed red-and-black flames, the Shield of Wrath still crackling on his newly formed dark arm. Blood poured from countless wounds, yet he remained standing — a dying god refusing to kneel.

John Connor circled him slowly, plasma blades humming with lethal energy. "Your new toys won't save you, Dagon. No matter how much dark side power you steal, you're still just a broken man playing hero."

Dagon's remaining eye — pitch black with the blazing three-pronged red star — narrowed.

"The dark side of the Force is unnatural," he whispered, voice hoarse but steady.

John paused. "What?"

Dagon's lips curled into a bloody, defiant smile. "You see this shield? It just taught me a trick. Sith alchemy… and portals."

John's glowing eyes flickered with suspicion. "What trick?"

Dagon raised his cursed arm. The runes on the Shield of Wrath flared violently.

"The binary stars," he growled. "Or rather… a portal *to* them. Not too far from this miserable planet."

A swirling vortex of crimson and violet energy ripped open behind John — a direct gateway into the heart of a binary star system, where the gravitational forces and fusion heat rivaled the power of a neutron star.

John's expression shifted from arrogance to genuine alarm. "No—"

He tried to lower the force field and escape, but Dagon was faster. With the last of his strength, he lunged forward and grabbed John's phase-matter arm with the cursed black limb.

"We are both ghosts in this world," Dagon snarled, blood dripping from his mouth. "We die together."

John struggled, but the Shield of Wrath's dark curse burned into his systems, locking him in place.

Dagon leapt backward through the portal, dragging John Connor with him into the roaring inferno of the binary stars.

**Scene 2**

Falling.

That was all Dagon felt as they tumbled through the violent maelstrom of plasma and gravitational forces. The heat was beyond comprehension. His armor began to melt. His remaining flesh burned. John's phase-matter body started to destabilize, glowing white-hot as the star's fusion ripped it apart at the atomic level.

*This is the end of my life here,* Dagon thought, strangely calm. *At least… I took him with me.*

Suddenly, a brilliant lightning bolt reached through the chaos — not random, but deliberate. Zule's power. He sensed her desperation, her love, her refusal to let him go.

"I got him!" Zule screamed through the Force, yanking with everything she had.

Dagon felt himself torn away from John's disintegrating form at the last possible moment. John Connor's final scream was swallowed by the star as his corrupted body turned to superheated dust in the heart of the binary fusion.

A violent pull dragged Dagon back through a closing rift. He crashed hard onto the icy surface of Helska IV, smoke rising from his ruined armor.

**Scene 3**

The girls and Nox surrounded him instantly.

Dagon lay on his back, staring up at the frozen sky. His vision was fading fast. Blood pooled beneath him. Most of his organs were failing. One leg gone. One arm gone. One eye gone. The cursed flames around him slowly died out.

"I told you…" he whispered, voice barely audible, "I am forced to sacrifice my life… for a sunrise I'll never see."

Ahsoka dropped to her knees beside him, tears streaming down her face. "No! Don't you dare die on us!"

"We're sorry," Flare whispered, holding his remaining hand. "We're so sorry for everything."

Visenya, Stella, and Kayla were crying openly. Zule gripped his shoulder, her lightning still faintly crackling as she tried to keep him stable.

Shin Wren and Erictia worked frantically — Shin pouring every healing technique she knew into him while Erictia contacted Thrawn through the comm.

"I'm sorry too," Dagon rasped, his remaining eye growing dim. "I never had anyone before now… and I was afraid. Afraid of losing you. Afraid of what I'd become if I let myself care."

His breathing grew shallower.

The girls pressed closer, surrounding him with their warmth and love. The bonds between them flared brightly, desperately trying to hold him to life.

"Dagon, please…" Ahsoka begged. "Stay with us."

His vision darkened at the edges. The cold of Helska IV crept in.

But in the center of all that pain and fading light, there was warmth.

The warmth of the girls he loved.

The warmth of a family he had finally allowed himself to have.

Dagon's lips curved into the faintest, bloodied smile as darkness claimed him.
