Chapter 6 - let me bring you home

5. Let Me Bring You Home

Song of Solomon 8:1-2

King James Version

8 O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! When I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

2 I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

The contentment that we had pursued one another in love, and in trust.

Decently and in order.

Right affections, not lust,

I reflect on what brought us here at last.

In the rest, the quiet hush of soft mornings,

Slow settled pace,

And gentle evenings.

We walk steady not rushing in a race.

Let me bring you home,

A place to feel safe and grounded,

This is love matured and actualized,

Of a love well-rounded.

When love found us,

Guided by the hand of God Himself,

The master matchmaker,

For pairing a kingdom spouse.

Yes love,

Let me bring you home,

A place to feel safe and grounded,

This is love matured and actualized,

Of a love well-rounded.
