Vivian's POV
Vivian was a ball of nerves.
That was not a good thing at all. Her hearing was due to take place in just over an hour. She needed to be as cool as a cucumber by then. But she just could not seem to get herself under control. She was even struggling to do up the buttons of the blouse that she intended to wear during the hearing.
Taking it off Vivian tossed it aside with a groan. Still wearing only her underwear she began to pace. A part of her wanted to go to the gym and do some damage to the punching bag, but she knew that that would be a bad idea. She might lose track of time while in there, and end up being late, which was not something that she wanted. Speeding up Vivian tried to burn off her excess energy, but it just was not helping.
Ryan found her like that when he stepped into the walk-in closet, and for a moment he just paused at the threshold. Then without saying a word, he moved towards her, took her hand and began guiding Vivian towards the bedroom.
