(Chowdhury estate): Living room (afternoon)

Jessie stumbled out of the gym like a warrior returning from battle.
Her hair was a mess, her cheeks were flushed, and her boxing gloves were still on because she was too lazy to take them off. She looked like she had just fought three men, a tax department, and her own patience.
Ethan and Lucas followed behind her like loyal bodyguards
who had just survived emotional trauma.
Jessie marched straight into the living room, dropped onto the massive white sofa, and threw her legs up like she owned oxygen itself.
She sighed deeply.
"This," she announced, "is what peace feels like."
Ethan glanced at her. "Ma'am, you threatened to fight us ten minutes ago."
Jessie waved her glove. "That was bonding."
Lucas sat on the opposite couch, looking like his soul had aged.
Ethan checked his tablet. "Would you like a protein shake?"
Jessie stared at him.
"Ethan... I don't want a shake. I want silence."
Ethan nodded seriously. " Understood. Would you like silence scheduled for 2 PM?
Jessie groaned, throwing her head back.
Lucas whispered, "I think she's going to murder us soon."
Jessie snapped her head toward him.
Lucas immediately sat up straight. "Respectfully."
Jessie rolled her eyes and leaned into the cushions, finally starting to relax.
And then-
The main door opened.
Not knocked.
Not announced.
Opened.
Like whoever entered thought they owned the mansion too.
Jessie didn't even move.
Only one person in this world walked into the Chowdhury house like it was his personal property.
A voice echoed through the living room.
"Jessieeeeee!"
Jessie closed her eyes.
"Oh no."
Ethan immediately straightened. Lucas looked alarmed, like a criminal had entered.
Footsteps approached, confident and arrogant.
And then( RAE ALLARD ) appeared.
Tall. Broad-shouldered. Wearing an expensive suit like he had just walked out of a financial magazine cover shoot. His hair perfectly styled, his smile dangerously charming, and his watch alone probably cost more than someone's entire education.
The CEO of Allard Holdings.
The man who could sneeze and accidentally crash a currency.
And yet he walked in with the dramatic energy of a clingy best friend.
Rae spread his arms wide.
"My favorite person!"
Jessie opened one eye and stared at him lazily from the sofa.
"...Why are you here."
Rae gasped like she had stabbed him emotionally.
"What do you mean why am I here? I missed you."
Jessie sat up slowly.
Her boxing gloves squeaked against the sofa.
She stared at him in disbelief.
"Rae."
He smiled brightly. "Yes, love?"
Jessie pointed at him with a glove like she was accusing him in court.
"You were here last night."
Rae blinked.
Then he smiled even wider.
"Yes."
Jessie's eyes narrowed. "You literally had dinner with us."
Rae nodded. "Correct."
Jessie leaned forward. "You left at midnight."
Rae nodded again. "Also correct."
Jessie spread her arms.
"So how did you miss me?"
Rae paused for half a second, thinking.
Then he said confidently-
"Because midnight to morning is a long time."
Jessie stared at him.
Lucas coughed to hide a laugh.
Ethan looked down at his tablet like he didn't want to be involved.
Jessie's voice turned deadly calm.
"Are you insane?"
Rae walked in like he was the king of the house, dropping himself onto the sofa beside her without permission.
He leaned back comfortably, crossing one leg over the other.
"I'm not insane," he said. "I'm emotionally attached."
Jessie looked at him with disgust.
"You're emotionally unemployed."
Rae placed a hand over his chest like she had wounded him.
"Jessie, that is cruel. I came because I was worried about you."
Jessie blinked. "Worried about me?"
Rae nodded dramatically. "Yes. I woke up and realized I hadn't annoyed you today.
Jessie stared.
Then she slowly nodded.
"...That's actually believable."
Rae smiled proudly. "Thank you."
Jessie turned her head slightly. "Ethan."
Ethan immediately responded. "Yes, ma'am."
Jessie pointed at Rae without looking.
"Throw him out."
Rae gasped loudly. "Excuse me?!"
Jessie finally looked at him. "Rae, you're too rich to be this jobless."
Rae leaned closer. "I'm not jobless. I'm free."
Jessie scoffed. "You're a CEO."
Rae shrugged. "Exactly. I can disappear for a day and the stock market will still worship me."
Jessie rolled her eyes. "I hate you."
Rae smiled warmly. "No, you don't."
Jessie stared at him for a moment.
Then she sighed.
"...Unfortunately, I don't."
Rae grinned and leaned back again.
"See? Love."
Jessie smacked his arm lightly with her boxing glove.
The sound was dramatic.
THUMP.
Rae froze.
He slowly looked down at her glove.
Then back at her face.
"...Why are you wearing boxing gloves in the living room?"
Jessie answered calmly. "Because I'm a threat."
Rae's eyes widened slightly. "You were boxing?"
Jessie nodded. "Yes."
Rae smiled like a proud parent. "That's my girl."
Jessie narrowed her eyes. "Don't encourage me. I almost punched Lucas."
Lucas immediately defended himself. "Ma'am, you said it was bonding."
Jessie waved him off. "It was."
Rae looked between them, amused.
"So you're terrorizing your employees on a Saturday?"
Jessie smiled sweetly. "It's my hobby."
Rae leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
"Good. Because I came with a mission."
Jessie sighed dramatically. "Here we go."
Rae snapped his fingers. "We're going out."
Jessie blinked. "No."
Rae blinked back. "Yes."
Jessie shook her head. "Absolutely not."
Rae smiled. "Absolutely yes."
Jessie glared. "Rae. I am resting."
Rae leaned closer, whispering like he was delivering a secret.
"You can rest outside."
Jessie stared at him like he was the dumbest genius on Earth.
"You want me to go out... so I can rest?"
Rae nodded seriously. "Yes. Like a rich person."
Jessie's mouth opened.
Then she turned to Ethan.
"Is he okay?"
Ethan replied calmly, "Sir Rae Allard is always like this, ma'am."
Lucas added, "He's been like this since childhood."
Jessie sighed, rubbing her forehead.
Rae smiled proudly. "Exactly. Consistency is my best quality."
Jessie muttered, "Your best quality is that you haven't been arrested yet."
Rae leaned back, completely relaxed.
"I brought you something."
Jessie narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
"What did you bring."
Rae smiled innocently.
"Coffee."
Jessie's eyes widened slightly.
Rae held up a cup like he was offering peace treaty.

"And pastries."

Jessie stared at him, betrayed by her own hunger.
"...You're bribing me."
Rae nodded. "Yes."
Jessie hesitated.
Then she snatched the coffee from his hand like a criminal.
Rae smiled.
Jessie took one sip.
Her eyes softened slightly.
Then she pointed at him again.
"Still doesn't explain why you're here."
Rae sighed dramatically and placed a hand on his heart again.
"Jessie... I missed you."
Jessie stared at him for a long moment.
Then she said flatly-
"You missed chaos."
Rae smiled.
"Yes."
Jessie leaned back into the sofa.
"This friendship is toxic."
Rae leaned closer, grinning.
"It's iconic."
Jessie sighed.
And somewhere deep down...
She already knew her peaceful weekend was officially dead.
