For most people, I just exchange a few pleasantries after remembering them, and once they enter the venue, I completely forget all the information about them.
However, two groups of people left a significant impression on me.
The first group was Pélemon Notos greyrat and his son Luke Notos Greyrat. This should be my first time meeting Luke. Just looking at that face, I can tell he'll be a pretty boy in the future. I'm not sure if it's because he's quite young, but he kept his head down in front of me. He didn't dare look me in the eye—is it because my aura is too strong? The Prodia Family and the Notos Family don't see eye-to-eye on various views and matters, so we didn't exchange pleasantries for long before parting ways.
The second group was James Boreas Greyrat and the bunch of sons following him. The Boreas Family is a political ally of the Prodia Family. Although my grandfather and the current head of the Boreas Family, Sauros Boreas Greyrat, don't seem to get along, his heir, James Boreas Greyrat, is very friendly toward our family, almost to the point of being fawning. He was followed by several boys. These should be all the boys of the current third generation of the Boreas Family. Their family has a rule where all male bloodlines, whether from branch or direct lines, are placed under the management of the family head. I can't really say which model is better. Among these boys, Alice's biological brother should be present, though I don't know which one he is.
Of course, the First Prince Gustav Zaphnen Asura also came, but my grandfather went out to welcome him personally. I didn't say anything nearby, as I don't want to have any involvement with the First Prince. He brought along a girl who looked a bit younger than me. She seemed to have a built-in soft-focus filter; her blonde hair was like silk kissed by the sun, her azure eyes were clearer than the most transparent polar ice crystals, and her porcelain-white skin had a peach-like pink glow. I didn't hear the prince introduce the girl, and they just walked into the ball.
As it was my birthday party, my father and mother also gave me a gift after wishing me a happy birthday. It was a gift box wrapped in intricate silk ribbons, and I opened it happily like a child.
What met my eyes was a sword with a scabbard. Although the sword itself looked a bit ordinary and not at all flashy, the craftsmanship of the scabbard was very meticulous. It used century-old Phoebe zhennan wood as the core, wrapped in dark green sharkskin to enhance wear resistance. The middle of the scabbard featured a diamond-shaped decorative groove with a built-in magnetic mechanism, which could hold an egg-sized gemstone (such as an emerald or amethyst). The edges of the groove were trimmed with sterling silver carved in scroll patterns, and a spring-loaded clasp was hidden at the bottom; pressing both sides would pop the gemstone out. The blade itself was a simple sword with a deep blue luster, with a dragon-shaped pattern carved on the hilt. The blade was 1.5 feet long and about 10 centimeters wide.
According to my father's introduction, this sword is a magic sword named 'starfall' forged by the swordsmith Julian Harris. The blade is made of meteoric iron, which has an excellent mana-attachment effect and is extremely hard. It has never been worn down. The clasp on the scabbard can be fitted with mana crystals. Depending on the attributes of the mana crystal, different elemental states can be added to the sword.
