A car which is new to village , driver struggles for the directions stops at a small shop and asks for the address says he is not local and his boss is from 120 miles away to this village ,they came here just to find a boy who lives in this place .
After getting the information he wants ,he reached the destination,it is an orphanage.
A tall man , well dressed get down from the car and entered an orphanage . He looks like an official from government office or a corporate company.
As soon as he stepped into the orphanage .Manager of the orphanage came to him and invites him to his office, offers him coffee and asked who was he and why did he came to the orphanage
I am here to sponsor a scholarship to a kid named Rahul and take him with me to the college campus for his further studies, he is the first kid who had ranked under top 10 from our district in talent test held state wise every year since last decade. So personally wanted to see that bright kid and handover the certificate, but I never imagined that he is an orphan .
Manager says sir please wait here in the office i will call Rahul here
Manager rang the bell , warden came to the office.
Manager ordered warden to bring Rahul to the office ,tell him that his dream came true.
A kid came to the office ,his eyes are filled with joy and excitement. But at the same time he is very cautious on seeing an official person who brought him the scholarship certificate.
Manager said to him , do you remember the talent test you attend last month ,the results are out and you got 9th rank through out the state and 1st rank in the district. So you won the scholarship for your college studies.
From now you can stay at the college hostel and concentrate in your higher education. Now go and pack your things sir will take you to the campus tomorrow.
Representative handover the scholarship to rahul and says this scholarship covers your education fee for the college and due to the special circumstances as you are an orphan i personally covers your hostel fee .
He says thanks to the manager and the representative who brought the scholarship certificate.And went back to his room with out a additional word.
Representative asked the manager, is this kid cold or reserved towards new people.
Manager said , he is well behaved kid among all the kids from this orphanage , he always complete his tasks first and also help others . He don't want to live on others , after the school he does various small jobs and earn money , among the money he earned he spend them on the stationary and materials for his education and donate the remaining in the charity box of the orphanage.
After listening ,Representative says he will stay tonight at the orphanage if possible, if not he will stay at nearby hotel and pick the boy tomorrow morning.
Manager said no problem i will arrange for your stay tonight , representative stayed at the orphanage that night .
Next morning they returned to their place with Rahul.
Representative personally enrolled Rahul in college and hostel .He gave rahul his card and said my name is verma you can contact me if you have any doubts or needs in the future.
Rahul said thanks verma sir , "verma sir , i have a small question , can i do part-time job during studies , you said the scholarship covers my college fee , but you personally covers my hostel fee ,and I have to take care of food and stationary supplies on my own , i don't want to depend on orphanage for them. And also i want to repay as much as possible to you on my hostel fee"
Verma smiles at rahul and says as your wish ,you can work where ever you like ,but you have to come to hostel before it closes everyday .
Rahul entered his room , each room has 4 students , two of them are his seniors and one is freshman like him. Rahul studies business , both the senior are science students and freshman did not come to the room yet . He wonders weather his new roommate will be aslo his classmate or he is from different group
3 days passed his new roommate arrived. His name is ravi .Rahul received him and explained the things he learned in these 3 days . Both became good friends instantly. Ravi is also studying business .
The college started after one week . In this one week Rahul get familiar with the campus . He already started helping in cafetaria. Cafetaria management has enrolled him as a helper and pays him . Now he earns for his food and saves some for his future uses.
He enquiries his senior for second hand text books and requiring supplies in advance
The day before the class starts some of his seniors gave him textbooks and said you can pay us later , he said thanks to them and promise to pay before the semester
Now everything set for his dream ,that is his college
