THE CAFE
Zara sat diwn across from Rick,her face too tired.A file was still in her hand.
Rick noticed it immediatly.
"Another high profile case?" He asked calmly.
Zara sighed.
Same pattern same tyle of victim same execution style.
Rick stirred his white coffee slowly.
"And the police still think it's random?"
Zara looked at him.
"No,we believe the killer is targeting crimanal"
Rick paused....them asked casaully.
"But something doesn't make sense
Zara frowned.
"What?"
"Why are police only investigating the killer?:
He looked directly into her eye.
".....and not the victim?"
Zara blinked.
"What do you mean?:
Rick continued carefully.
"All the victim are criminal,right?"
Smuggler?syndicate member and dealer.?:
Zara nodded slowly.
"Yes"
Than maybe the real question isn't who killed them....
"But why someone wanted them dead.?"
Zara went silent.
For the first time,she looked at the case from a different angle.
Rick smiled slightly.
Suddently his phone ringing.....
Rick went outside...leave zara alone at cafe.
