Chapter 165 - Chapter 165: Defeating Magellan!

Magellan grew increasingly shocked. He had already given his all, yet he still couldn't suppress his opponent.

The Thunder Giant transformed by this little girl before him was not only immensely powerful, but its electric currents perfectly countered his venom.

With every clash, his Venom Giant suffered significant damage, and its recovery grew slower and slower.

Yet she remained completely at ease.

Unlike Magellan, Ivan felt no pressure whatsoever throughout the entire battle.

Facing the Venom Giant, he felt a hint of admiration.

Magellan's strength truly exceeded his expectations, especially in the confined environment of Impel Down, where he had pushed his Poison-Poison Fruit ability to its limits.

But against him, even if Magellan were twice as strong, he would still be no match.

The battle raged on, and the shockwaves from the sixth level spread wider and wider, even affecting the fourth level, Blazing Hell, and the third level, Hunger Hell.

The guards of Impel Down were already terrified out of their wits.

They hid in safe places, not daring to approach the sixth level, and could only watch this earth-shattering duel with eyes full of fear.

After an unknown length of time, when the final massive thunderbolt struck the Venom Giant, this monumental battle finally came to an end.

The thunder gradually dissipated, and the poisonous fog slowly cleared. The sixth level was now unrecognizable, reduced to nothing but a chaotic ruin.

Some time later, a figure cautiously entered through the passageway entrance—it was Deputy Warden Hannyabal.

Tiptoeing, Hannyabal carefully made his way through the debris, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily.

When he reached the center of the ruins and saw the scene before him, he froze in place.

Magellan lay amidst a pile of rubble, his body charred black and covered in wounds, long since unconscious.

The poisonous fog around him had completely vanished, and his warden uniform was tattered and torn.

Clearly, he had suffered severe injuries in this battle.

As for the little girl wearing the lightning mask, she had already disappeared, presumably having left.

In an instant, Hannyabal understood.

The victor of this duel was that little girl.

Magellan, who was nearly invincible in Impel Down, had actually been defeated by a girl who looked to be only in her teens!

After the shock, an uncontrollable surge of joy instantly flooded Hannyabal's heart.

Magellan was unconscious and gravely injured, unable to recover anytime soon.

And Impel Down could not be without a warden.

As the deputy warden, he was undoubtedly the most qualified person to take over the position!

Just thinking about becoming the new warden of Impel Down made Hannyabal unable to suppress a smile.

He glanced down at the unconscious Magellan, forced down the wild excitement in his heart, bent over to hoist the severely injured warden onto his shoulder, and hurried toward the passageway exit.

Magellan's injuries were far more severe than they appeared, his breathing as faint as a candle flickering in the wind.

Hannyabal didn't want Magellan to die just like that.

He had schemed tirelessly, hoping to replace Magellan, all for the chance to gloat in front of him.

If Magellan died, what would be the point of him becoming the warden?

"Magellan, you can't die," Hannyabal muttered under his breath. "If you die, who will watch me take the warden's seat? Who will listen to me boast and swagger?"

After Hannyabal's figure disappeared into the end of the passage, Level 6 fell into dead silence once more.

Not long after, a violent roar suddenly erupted.

Boom!

The already battered wall was shattered by a tremendous force as two figures rushed headlong into Level 6.

"Ace, I'm here to save you!" Straw Hat Luffy's shout echoed throughout Level 6.

He had fought his way through Impel Down's layers of defenses, enduring countless hardships with only one thought in mind: to find Ace and take him away.

Behind Luffy, Ivankov hurried to catch up, grabbing the charging Luffy and warning him:

"Straw Hat, slow down! Stay calm!

Ace might not even be held in this Level 6. The Marines might have already transferred him away. Don't get your hopes up too soon!"

But Luffy's mind was completely consumed by the thought of saving Ace. He didn't heed the warning at all, continuing to charge forward recklessly.

It wasn't until the two of them stepped into Level 6 that their footsteps came to an abrupt halt. Their expressions instantly froze, replaced by utter astonishment.

The scene before them was far more devastating than they had imagined.

The once incredibly sturdy prison cells were now completely collapsed and shattered.

The ground was covered in craters of varying sizes, the edges still bearing the scorch marks of lightning burns and the corrosive traces of venom.

Dried blood, tattered clothing, and severed limbs were mixed together, covering the floor. A pungent, nauseating smell of blood assaulted their senses.

The legendary criminals once imprisoned in Level 6 were nowhere to be seen. Only this silent ruin remained, wordlessly recounting what had just transpired.

"What happened here?!" Luffy's eyes widened, his breathing growing heavy.

Ivankov's pupils contracted sharply as the image of that petite figure wearing the lightning mask flashed through his mind.

He recalled the violent tremors that had shaken the entire Impel Down earlier and exclaimed in disbelief:

"My God, could it be that the tremors shaking the entire Impel Down just now were all caused by that little girl?"

A girl who seemed only in her teens had actually managed to single-handedly destroy Impel Down Level 6 and slaughter all the legendary criminals imprisoned there.

As soon as this thought surfaced, Ivankov couldn't help but feel a chill run down his spine. The shock in his heart was beyond words.

He had originally thought Misaka Mikoto was just joking.

Who could have imagined she was actually serious?!

Judging by the scene, the commotion that nearly destroyed Impel Down earlier was the result of her clash with Magellan.

Who won and who lost?

Luffy, however, had no mind to ponder such details. He snapped back to reality, his face instantly turning as pale as a sheet. An intense fear surged within him.

He began frantically running and searching through the ruins, shouting desperately as he went:

"Ace, Ace, where are you?

Don't tell me Ace was killed by that person too... No, Ace!"

His voice was choked with tears, filled with helplessness.

In his heart, Ace was the most important person. He had given his all to get here just to save Ace. If Ace were dead, everything he had done would become meaningless.

Ivankov watched Luffy's out-of-control state and quickly stepped forward, grabbing him firmly as he said in a low voice:

"Calm down, Straw Hat!

Don't act rashly. Look carefully—there's no trace of Ace here.

Ace is a prisoner under the Navy's strict supervision. They would never let him die here.

If nothing unexpected happened, the Navy should have already transferred Ace to Marineford. He's not here, and he'll be fine."

Luffy paused, stopping his movements as he turned to look at Ivankov, his eyes filled with confusion:

"Really? Ace was really transferred? He's really okay?"
