"There's no way I already ate 4 of them, do you think I can't count?" Sakazuki asked furiously as Mayando stared daggers back at him.
"Maybe not, because I know this is my 4th one. We each get 4, and there aren't any more left," Mayando said sternly as he held a glistening hard shelled taco in his hand. "So maybe it's time to hit the books Sakazuki, because I will literally kill you for this," the fishman said as the tension in The Fancy's kitchen grew.
"Boys, calm down," Zeff said as he scrubbed the dishes from yet another course that was immediately demolished. "We've plundered enough along the way to Water 7 that we can each have a healthy budget to go into the city with. Just please, for the love of God, hold off on the gluttony until we dock," Zeff ordered as the two boys begrudgingly stopped their bickering.
"Mayando, get up on deck!" Kureha shouted from atop the staircase. "Rocks is going to crash us into the dock if we let him steer us in!" She shouted.
"Shut up you old witch, I know what I'm… actually Mayando, get up here," Rocks said, his confidence waning with every word.
Mayando sighed heavily, though he spitefully forced the entire taco in his hand down in one bite as Sakazuki stared at him with pure hatred. The young navigator then stood up from his seat before making his way up to the deck, inhaling the salty air as he let the sun shine down on his skin.
Especially compared to their time in Drum a couple of months before, the weather that the Rocks Pirates had been treated to was quite a bit more pleasant. While no significant stops took place, their travels through the Grand Line had allowed them to loot enough to never have to worry about supplies. While they could have caused much more chaos, Rocks had made a point to keep their identity a secret.
Though they had eyes everywhere, Rocks was confident that the World Government was unaware that he was still alive. The only headline that had mentioned his name in the 6 plus months since the God Valley Incident was the one that claimed Garp had killed him, and since then all that the papers had been talking about was the astounding success of the new Warlord system.
As Mayando took the helm and Rocks called Zeff and Sakazuki up to the deck, the city of Water 7 appeared over the horizon, though the sight of the docks was disheartening to say the least. The few ships that were anchored each sat in a sorry state, and the economic disaster that this city was couldn't be more apparent.
"Listen up!" Rocks barked as he leaned on the bow's railing. "We don't need the Government on our tail right now. It'll be a little while before I'm back to full strength, and if any Navy officers recognize me, I'm sure that I'm one of the people they'd be more than happy to dedicate an entire buster call to. We're here for Kureha to meet up with our contact and to get our ship repaired, and
once we're done, we're out of here. This will be the first city that we're going to, and plenty of eyes will be on us. So keep your heads down, and don't mention who's crew you're on. And stay out of trouble," he said as he narrowed his eyes towards the younger members of his crew.
"Don't worry Rocks, I'll keep an eye on Sakazuki for you. He's a good boy, but it's important that he has a watchful eye on him," Mayando joked as he a attempted to avoid his crewmate's death glare.
"Knock it off," Zeff said as he delivered a playful smack to the back of the navigator's head. "Im taking a break from the headache that you all have been giving me while we're here, by the way. I'll watch the ship, so the rest of you can feel free to take alllll the time you need," the grumpy chef said as Kureha chuckled behind him.
"My meeting shouldn't take too long, but what's wrong with the ship?" She asked Rocks as The Fancy started its approach to the Water 7 docks.
"It's less about the ship itself, and more about getting ourselves a shipwright," Rocks said with a wide smile as his eyes narrowed in the direction of a bridge that seemed to have quite a bit of noise coming out from underneath.
