"Ohh, Luna, you said you weren't going anywhere tonight, even though Alex wanted to take you out."
"What's this? You're on a date with Liam? Did you go crazy over his three thousand dollars, or did you fall for your childhood friend?"
Liam and Luna were both startled by the two female voices.
Liam quickly realized they were Luna's friends from university.
Ayla and Vivian—both just as beautiful as Luna, though their figures weren't quite as striking. Their biggest charm lay in their blonde hair—Ayla's was straight, while Vivian's had soft waves.
Both of them were dressed in shorts as well.
When they noticed Liam's hand resting on Luna's thigh, they exchanged strange glances.
"Y-you two? Why are you here?" Luna asked, her slightly drunk voice trembling.
"We were invited by Alex. He's coming with his high school friends and said he'd treat us," Vivian replied.
Alex Gonzalez.
He was well-known at the university.
Naturally—he was the captain of the university's basketball team.
His family was quite wealthy too. Both his parents were doctors, earning over 100,000 dollars a year each.
Combined, their income exceeded 200,000 dollars annually.
As their only son, Alex's daily allowance was undoubtedly huge—probably more than what a minimum-wage worker earned.
"Oh, there he is. Alex just arrived," Ayla said, pointing toward the front of the bar.
Sure enough, Alex had arrived with two of his friends in a sedan—the same brand as Liam's car, though from five years ago.
Not only was he handsome, but he also stood at 190 cm, making him stand out immediately.
He frowned slightly when he saw Ayla and Vivian.
After all, they were facing a sofa where a man and a woman sat close together.
The red hair of the woman looked familiar.
He was certain—it was Luna.
Luna eventually glanced back.
"Tch…" she muttered, clearly annoyed.
Alex's expression darkened.
He quickened his steps, wanting to see who the man beside Luna was.
And then—he recognized him.
Liam.
They were in the same class, so of course he knew him.
If they weren't, he probably wouldn't have.
"Luna, you said you couldn't go out. Turns out you just wanted to go with another guy," Alex said sarcastically.
The scene began to attract attention from nearby tables.
After all, bars like this often became places where affairs were exposed, leading to drama.
Though this wasn't exactly that—it still involved deception.
"Alex, what's your problem? I can go out with whoever I want," Luna replied, her tone slightly slurred from alcohol.
"Luna, you can't say that. You accepted a bracelet from Alex. That wasn't cheap," Vivian commented.
"It's just a bracelet. I'll return it tomorrow," Luna said dismissively.
"What's wrong with you, Luna?" Ayla asked.
"That's none of your business," Luna replied coldly.
Then she grabbed Liam's hand.
"Liam, let's just go," she said.
"Yeah." Liam stood up first, clearly not interested in this disturbance.
He picked up his car key from the table and walked off.
Luna followed closely, holding his hand, giving Ayla and Vivian a strange smile as they stared in confusion.
Both of them—and Alex—were quickly stunned when they saw Liam get into a brand-new car that didn't even have a license plate yet.
"He has a car…" Ayla said in shock.
"So that's why Luna is getting close to him…" Vivian added, equally surprised.
"Hmph, probably bought on credit. Can he even afford the payments? He must be feeling confident after one lucky profit," she scoffed.
Meanwhile, Alex stayed silent, brows furrowed, while his two friends exchanged looks.
Inside the car, Liam immediately started driving.
"Oh shit… it really hit 50 million market cap…" Luna muttered as she checked her phone, stunned.
Liam glanced at her screen.
This result had clearly exceeded even his expectations.
If he hadn't sold at 17 million, his holdings would now be worth around 500,000 dollars.
"I'm selling now," Luna said without hesitation.
Her investment had nearly tripled—she wasn't taking chances.
She almost jumped in excitement.
"Liam, you're seriously my lucky charm," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck from her seat.
She was drunk—her behavior becoming even bolder.
Her soft touch made Liam feel lightheaded.
His right hand unconsciously returned to her thigh, gently stroking it, while his eyes drifted toward a nearby hotel.
It wasn't luxurious—but definitely better than his room.
More than enough for a night like this.
As a man, Liam felt his restraint slipping.
He deserved this.
After pushing aside his hesitation, he turned the car toward the hotel, slightly surprising Luna.
But she didn't question it.
After getting this close, it felt natural for them to go there.
As soon as Liam turned off the engine, Luna stepped out first.
Her flushed face from alcohol made her even more alluring to the men around.
But seeing she was with someone, they could only look on with displeasure.
The two of them walked toward the hotel entrance and approached the receptionist.
"One room. The best one—for one night," Liam said.
The receptionist remained professional, clearly used to young couples checking in together.
She handed Liam a form to fill out, along with a QR code for payment.
Liam paid without hesitation and received the key.
Right after that, Luna pulled him toward the elevator.
Unfortunately, they weren't alone inside.
A middle-aged man, likely from out of town, stood there as well.
He looked slightly uncomfortable seeing them and pretended to focus on his phone.
They even stopped on the same floor—the top floor.
And it seemed their rooms were next to each other.
The middle-aged man entered his room first, as it was closer, while Liam's room was at the far end.
The keycard jammed slightly. Liam had to press and twist it firmly before the door finally opened.
Inside was a spacious room, with a large bed placed beside a window—open, but secured with metal bars for safety.
