Silence fell.
Heavy.
Complete.
William stood still.
Then—
He smirked.
Fear.
"Do you need help?"
His voice was deep.
Calm.
Unfamiliar.
Ronnie looked up instantly.
Hope surged.
Fast.
Stupid.
Maybe he meant it.
Maybe this wasn't real.
Then—
Everything broke.
William wasn't looking at him.
He was looking at her.
Ronnie laughed.
Quiet.
Hollow.
Of course.
Hero helping a villain?
Pathetic.
"Boss," the girl said, smirking,
"you think this weakling is worth your time?"
Ronnie froze.
Boss?
That didn't make sense.
Willam shouldn't be like this
He is the perfect one
The loved one
Throught got interrupted when
William spoke.
"Then why are you still here?"
Calm.
Cold.
"Time isn't yours."
A pause.
"It's mine."
The air tightened.
"You said it yourself," he continued,
"he's nothing."
Another pause.
"Then leave it."
His gaze didn't shift.
"We have better things to do."
The girl stiffened.
"What are you looking at?" he added.
"Move."
She flinched.
"Let's go."
They left.
Just like that.
Ronnie stood there.
Still processing.
Was he safe?
Or just ignored?
He didn't know.
He looked around.
Heads down.
Bodies stiff.
Silent.
Too silent.
That's when it hit him.
This wasn't respect.
This was fear.
"They don't follow him…" Ronnie muttered.
"They obey him."
His gaze lifted.
William stood there.
Untouched.
Unbothered.
Not a hero.
Never was.
"A nightmare…"
A real one.
And somehow—
that truth felt worse than everything else
Cause a part of him
still
Try to be human
